crossed posts mil Well done on the running. My knee seems better now and I;ve bought the support, so going again tomorrow morning still on week 3 though!

Ceebee74 · 19/03/2009 09:07

Jodie well done on the size 12 jeans - I bet you just felt great!

Missn well done - you are doing really well. How much have you lost in total?

Dozy hope you are feeling a little better and not too frustrated. Just concentrate on getting better and let the diet sort itself out once you are fit and well (plus isn't ice-cream sloppy enough to eat?? )

I think I am back around my pre-pg weight now I can't exactly remember as I wasn't really weighing myself before. That was my first target so I am well chuffed I have achieved that in 3 months. Yesterday I wore my pre-pg boyfriend jeans and they were really comfy!

Right just another 2 stone to shift now

JODIEwantsanewname · 19/03/2009 09:27

ceebee well done in getting back into your jeans. I was 10 stone 5 when I got pregnant, so another stone to go, hopefully should be too difficult to shift now the summer os coming and I can't hide behind heavy jumpers.

mil how did you get on?

I;ve just been for my first run in a week, and I feel great, sun shining, was really hard though, but I pushed myself which was good and my knee was OK (I did wear my support!) so all back on track now for 2lbs this week (my DM is coming to visit, and she's on a diet too, so thats good, it means she can look after the kids while I go for a run! )

mileniwmffalcon · 19/03/2009 10:42

yay jodie isn't it a fantastic feeling i find if i've had a break the first run afterwards is much easier than i expect.

and yay for your jeans ceebee

i lost a lb, which means i've hit my stone another half and i'm done, although i guess this is going to be the slowest bit. still i've got a chance of making target by my big night out in may (and i certainly won't fret if not) so yay me.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 19/03/2009 11:21

Well have started gardening with a vengence, just plugged in 45 minutes of digging (we are clearing a waste patch that used to be a vege patch to make into a private garden for us and children, we run a b&b so nice to have somewhere just for us) and it cam up with 501 calories used . will not be eating them just in case

mileniwmffalcon · 19/03/2009 11:33

doesn't surprise me tbh, is hard work digging. is no coincidence i'm swapping a swim for turning the compost heap this weekend

FiveGoMadInDorset · 19/03/2009 16:23

Right need help. We are having homemade veal chorizo sauseages tonight how many calories do you think they have?

LadyBuzz · 19/03/2009 16:30

FiveGoMadInDorset · 20/03/2009 07:07

Right my weight is crap but know I hope I am back in the right mindset for some weighloss so basically starting again.

Dozymare · 20/03/2009 09:35

morning all - am so much better buzz and thank you for asking! Finally, finally, feel a bit normal and very good news as well as today (weigh in) am -4lbs

As you know, after eating bugger all and being in hospital, I came out and had put 8lbs on, well this was obviously all the drips/IV's as after not weighing all week (and still not really eating) I am weighing in today at 14 stone 2lbs (start weight 15st 11lbs)

I am sure it will go up next week as am starting to eat normally again, but hey, let me by happy just for today eh!!!!!

Good luck to everyone else

Dozymare · 20/03/2009 19:48

OP posts:
FiveGoMadInDorset · 20/03/2009 20:21

Yes

Ceebee74 · 20/03/2009 20:24

Mm your meals sound lovely!

We have just had grilled halloumi with jerk seasoning, toasted pitta wedges and tomato salsa - all washed down with a yummy yummy pinot grigio

Ceebee74 · 21/03/2009 22:03

Well so much for my experiment of only eating 65% of my exercise cals.....I lost absolutely nothing this week I had 1000 cals left over and the scales didn't budge [andry] - I really don't know
what else I can do!

Am v disheartened and so, true to form, not really monitored what I have eaten today (or tomorrow probably).

Sorry for the me me me post but feeling really crap about the whole thing at the moment.

JODIEwantsanewname · 22/03/2009 07:22

Ceebee I don't know what to say, it's crap isn't it! I just get told that muscle weighs heavier than fat, it is true, but it's not what you want to hear is it! But I have had weeks like that and then the next week lost a huge amount.... Maybe you should start measuring your vitals? I know it makes me feel so much better! Last month I only lost 4lbs in 4 weeks and I had lost 7 inches.

I'm having a shocking week here. My mum has come over and she's eating like a gannett (sp?) It's really hard not to follow suit, although she had a dessert yesterday and I didn't!!!! Also a friend of DH's works in a bakery and he bought over loads of Pain au chocolate and croissants on Friday I only inputted yesterdays calories and not Thurs or Fri I was that bad.
I've bought that M&S meal thing for today and have opted for the Salmon with salad and profiteroles for pud (although my mum put a good dent in those last night! I don't mind, less for me to be tempted by!) It all looks delicious!

I went for another run yesterday and I might go again today, I'll see what time mother gets up..... (DH gone skiing )

Well done dozy although not in the best of circs, hope you are feeling better? Apologies if you've told us before, but did you get yout GF test results back yet?

JODIEwantsanewname · 22/03/2009 07:23

Sorry, pressed post before I wanted to,

missn Thats really good going! I;m very impressed! How long have you been doing it?

Dozymare · 22/03/2009 11:58

morning everyone - happy mother's day to you all!!

ceebee you are going through what I did a few weeks back - remember not losing or even putting on for 3 weeks despite a v.good week follwed by bad, bad weekends. I for one, always eat my exercse calories, expecially as what I do is so intense. I read on WLR that you need to do that otherwise your body will start storing whatever you eat as fat as you are expending more than you are consuming..........it's evolutionary my dear ceebee (apparantly )

Jodie I love a good profiterole as well, and sedcond what you say about measuring your body - ceebee maybe this is something you should start now? Was looking at your facebook pictures and you are sooooo much slimmer in the face than when DS1 was same age as DS2. Definately inspirational!!!!

GF results are still inconclusive, basically Dr said they could keep testing but no point as no cure and if it is, will take month's to shift...I am not going to exercise this week as still feel quite frail, but hope to be back week after slowly, slowly....

Hope you all have a lovely day

DM xxx

Thanks for your support ladies.

Jodie I have thought about measuring myself but no idea which bits to measure etc. I can see a difference and obviously my clothes are getting looser - just wish the damn scales would show it!!

Dozy bless you for saying that about my photos (I had forgotten that some of the old ones with DS1 were on there tbh so I have just had to go and have a look!)

Hope you are all having a good Mothers Day. Am not really thinking too much about what I am eating although I did do BA this morning and haven't really pigged out - DH is going to get me a takeaway tonight so am opting for tandoori chicken and a naan bread! Start afresh tomorrow....

Dozymare · 22/03/2009 19:12

ceebee I measure the following (the more the merrier, as inch loss is more!)

Boob around nipple
Boobs under nipple (ie lift the old bazuka's up to get a good fit!)
Waist
tummy around belly button
Hips
Left thigh
Right thigh
Bingo Wing (around BCG)
Calf at widest point!

Really is a good incentive!!
