For all those using Nintendos' little marvel to help slim down!

My mum got me this for Christmas, and when I go up on it today, it'll be my fifth day . I aim for 30 mins a day but at the minute I'm happy with around 15 at a minimum. Need to start building it up, I want to lose 2-3 stone, taking me to 9st or 8st if I can do it. (Can you tell I've not got kids yet!). Hopefully I can do it, come and join me!

I will join in too (after tomorrow)

I have had one since July and have had a couple of bursts of using it religiously. It's rather good IMHO

You can easily do 30 mins a day on it, it goes in no time.

I am 53 and obese my mii looks like an ommpa loompa

That is not good as I'm only 36 and thought I hid my weight rather well

I tried it for the 1st time today and am officially crap at everything except jogging

oh dear

a pound has come back on, and wii fit wants me to explain why? maybe because I haven't had a poo yet?

I have lost 3lb and am now 32

(I am wearing pjs so that explains the weightloss but the age thing I suppose I've learnt how to stand straight )

I still can't hula hoop properly

I am still Obese but down to 34 - Oh and I'm a Yoga Master don't know how I am the clumsiest person I know!
Managed another 20 mins this morning - Even tried the press ups!
Super Hula Hoop kills me though

I got mine in the summer and when I started I was doing 30 minutes every other day but I got out of the habit. Lost one stone though (after one month of doing that, mainly yoga and the fun stuff, the hula hoop game is great for the waist!) that hasn't crept back on so I'm for this in the New Year!

Count me in.

I haven't managed to do my time yet today. Did walk round lots of shops and go ice skating and walking with my mate though. Will go up when my food has settled.

may i join you all too please? I got my wii fit in august, but have only started using it now. I have 21 pounds to lose post baby. I'm doing 20-30 minutes a day before breakfast. I like the jogging the best, am useless at skiing and hula.

I made up for 2 days of not Wii Fittig with 42 minutes today, and I logged the hour of ice skating I did on Wednesday. Am off bowling tonight so that's a little bit more to add.

RIGHT

I am off for a walk with the children at 2pm. Then I shall come home and wii fit, as I didn't do any yesterday

It's pretty bad when you break new year resolutions on Jan 1st

Oooh, I do hate the fat mii - I hate the fat music they play as well, and the little voice that says "too high"

Humph.

celia2 - you need the wii consol, but if's you've got that, then you only need a control and a nunchuck (for the boxing), the wii fit comes with balance board and disc.

oh, and we've just bought a "skin" for the balance board, makes it much more comfortable, especially when you do press ups & leaning on elbows.

I've had a wii fit since the summer, and just started weight watchers too, so the wii said it was a bit worried about my weight loss!!!

bless. Mind you, now it's been Christmas, I'm sure it'll be telling me off again next time I use it.

Have just got on for the first time in 58 days.

It said I'd lost 1lb since then, so I suppose I should be chuffed I didn't chub up.

However, my BMI is shocking. I must address it

45 mins done

Report
mysterymoniker · 03/01/2009 10:02

have lost another 2lbs! bmi has gone from 27.8 to 27.3, leaving me in a lovely warm glow of optimism

(funny how increases in weight are 'fluctuations' but losses are real actual losses )

Just unlocked the boxing one - and it is hard!! I dont think I understand it!!! The basic step is too basic now, but I have unlocked free step! I tried the press ups one - it told me of for having a break - it wasnt me, it was a toddler climbing on me, honest!!!!

On the plus side, I have lost 1lb but I am still obese! My aim is for it to show my BMI as being less than 30!

Does anyone know how many qames there are in each section, as I too will be sad when no new ones!!!

I've fallen out with the Wii today. I did my weight and I wasn't keen on the result, so I took my watch off and redid it and I was a pund heavier! How??

it's definitely not a reliable way of tracking changes in your weight, mine has zigzagged up and down by nearly a STONE (11 pounds) but if I am losing weight for real then it's going to be pretty obvious eventually

probably best to stick to traditional scales once a week at same time each week to get a better measure of overall trend

the main thing is that it's a quick, fun and easy way to build extra physical activity into your day isn't it?

I'm really tempted to get the Wii Fit, and reading this thread has tempted me even more...

Just wondering, is it the kind of thing that you can see yourself using long-term? Is there enough on it to keep you interested/motivated/challenged for a good while?

May I join please . Just set it up and my bmi is 24.48, overweight and age of 64 . Ideally could lose half a stone or preferably more. Jogging and step got me puffed and hwo can you hula for over a minute !
