Hi Berries, thats super weight loss in such a short amount of time - I know what you mean about it all slowing down. I feel the same I seem to have stopped being able to judge how i am doing. I weigh in today at lunch time and I am really up tight about it just desperately don't want to go backwards! So have been for swim this morning before work. Fingers crossed Whats your weigh in date?

Hi Ark, I actually weighed in last night. I suppose I don't think of it as a short space of time, just think I've 'only' lost 3lb in 4 weeks, but as dh said, I've lost weight eveery week I've been, even if it's only 0.5lb, so it's all going the right way (plus wearing size 14 trousers that haven't been able to get into for over 2 years, so feel better today )
Will definately try harder this week, have been a bit 'free & easy' with the free points lately & stopped counting them so suppose they have been mounting up - only supposed to use 20 per week & probably had nearer 30 last week. I'm determined to lose 2lb this week.

Well very pleased lost 1.5 lb - which although not much is just great coz I was so worried about gaining!! I am now smaller than my thin cupboard clothes and wondering when I should go shopping again! everything is looking like somebody elses clothes. Berries what are you going to do with your big clothes - throw or keep?

Report
Berries · 31/03/2005 16:22

great news ark, sounds like a good excuse for a shopping splurge. Not sure what I am going to do with my 'fat' clothes. Thin I will get to goal & then decide, hopefully I will be so confident they will all go in the bin.

Hi everyone - i joined ww today so wondered if i could gate crash your thread!
i am 5 ft 9
current weight 14st 7 1/2
aiming for 12st
Basically i want to loose weight to have another baby - i had blood pressure problems with dd (now 18mths) so want to be slimmer and fitter to start.
I have done ww before, so know i can do it, but i have a severe will power issue! I gave up smoking at christmas, so am now tackling my next problem.

Report
ark · 01/04/2005 14:05

Hi Fee - are you going to do no count or full choice?? How has the not smoking thing gone?

Berries - feels like if I keep the 'fat clothes' its me saying I know I won't maintain this? Could just have the whole lot altered I suppose.

Oh no - i have just looked at my card - i am 14 10 1/2 - i have put 3 lb on!!!
I am going for the full choice i think - i did it 6 years ago and still look at point values so am hoping it will all come back.
I can have 25 points a day - i have only had 11 so far so i can pig out for tea!!!!

Starting Weight Watchers again today! Beginning with 3 weeks of one-to-one meetings... this HAS to work! I think I will be needing lots of support, especially with wine consumption (or lack of... )

Hi all, Linny you should stick to the points you are allowed - one friend who i used to go ww with ate 4/5 less than her points allowance a day and actually gained as a result something about the body going into starvation mode?????? Sure Dior will be along soon enough she is bound to know all about this. If you have followed the quiz , then that number of points is what your body needs - the last thing you want to do is start off feeling hungry - much more likely to hate it! Hope your all having okay weeks, is the big weigh day for me tomorrow - will keep you posted!

Dior, you have done so well, come so far - even if you don't feel inspired yourself you certainly inspire lots of us to go do it. Hope you've woken up feeling sunnier this morning - if not I discovered skinny cow ice cream last night 1 point per stick - made me feel sooooooo much better - go get some! Hope the weigh in isn't to beastly - mine is at 12.30 today [fear emotion]!!!

Drastic measures ark - i haven't had a drink all week (polishes halo!).
Dior don't beat yourself up - your dh is right, try to maintain your weight at the mo. We all have rough times so know where you are coming from.
It is my first weigh in tomorrow - i hope i have lost weight. I have been good all weeek but am amazed how quickly i go through my points. When i did ww before i was young free and single so just had to worry about my self. Now with a dh and dd tagging along it is more of a struggle - BUT i will get there, i am feeling very positive today.
I will be back tomorrow to let you know how i've done!
