Hi All, I've been away and haven't been planning my meals or counting points though I have been a lot more aware of what I'm eating than I would have usually been on holiday. I weighed myself midweek of hols - still 10.3
Weighed again today - still 10.3
Not too upset because as I said I haven't been very good at all. I'm back to planning now so maybe next week will be better.
I have considered joining a group Dior but I only have a little bit left to lose (would ideally like to be 9.7 but would be pleased to maintain anything under 10st) and feel I'll be able to do this without a group. Of course I would rather go to a group but I'm watching the pennies at the moment due to maternity leave.

fee77.. fingers crossed for your 2st mark... when's your weigh in?
mine is tomorrow eve.. have 1.5 lb to lose for 2 st and 1 lb to initial goal.. fingers crossed for at least 1 lb tho dont really deserve it after my pig out last weekend..so we're both off on hol's 30th.. where are oyu going? we're off to torremolinos.. so cant wait! mum's taking kids for us so it's just me, dh and 2 friends.. feel bit guilty about leaving the kids tho.. but we've not been away without them since our honeymoon 3 yrs ago so we deserve it!!

Thanks pc - actually feeling good managed an hour dance class last night and an hour at the gym this lunch time and salad for lunch! So virtuous!

english beauty hello - if I were you I would find a local meeting to go to - you can do a suitability test there and it tells you whether no count or count is best for you.

do you think we should start a new thread soon this is getting awfully long! Fee 1lb to go!!!!! go go go you can do it!

Ark- you're back on track, don't beat yourself up about history, you've got the right attitude and everychance of hitting your target. You've got good reasons (I had bp issues with no 1 too, know how you feel) so you go, girl!!

Hi englishbeauty!

The no count thing that I am doing is really easy as long as you don't mind cooking!

You get a list (longer than you would expect) of things you can eat from- pasta, rice potatoes, leann meats, fish as wella s the fruit and veg. then from this you make three meals a day. You can only snack on fruit and veg, but you can use up to 21 point a week as bonuses / snacks. So if you have a bowl of soup and want a roll, then the roll would be 2 points from your 21. Or if like me you keep to the list, you can use your 21 points on a treat- so tonight i'm having wine and dessert!

well done PC! You sound really positive.
Ark, you sound like me - i had really lost the buzz over the last few weeks. I haven't bothered filling in my tracker, i didn't exercise etc. But i am back on track this week. Hopefully i will have stayed the same, as i did pig out last week, but have been good this week. I think everyone goes through a " can't be bothered" stage.
I want ed to lose 2 st by my hols - 30th july, and am 1 lb away! It seems so close, but so far! Then once i get back, i am going for another stone. There are BP problems in my family too, and i had trouble when i was pregnant, so am losing weight before i try for baby no2!

I want to lose two stone which will make me 10stone 2 at 5'6". there's a strong family history of heart / cholesterol / bp problems, so I thought i had better get it sorted! My Mum is size 12 and still has problems with BP, so i thought I would at least try and minimise my at-risk categories. Don't smoke (Mum used to), relatively fit (rarely drive unless leaving caerleon, no car when i was a kid as parents can't drive)- when i did the carnival last year i was the biggest dress size but the only one who cold sprint for 1o minuytes to keep up with a float! others just caught the generator trailer, inc. my DH who weighed in yesterday at 9.5 stone and 5'10".

So no big aim, just my health!.

Buying a car seat for my bike next month so i can cycle to Uni, joining the Uni gym and carnival season kicks off again inSeptember- you know, i think I will kick this!!!

Well done PC. Got my weigh in today after a terrible weekend foodwise I will be happy just to have stayed the same.

Is anyone losing weight for a deadline? e.g. holiday, wedding, special birthday.
Think it helps you stay more motivated if you've got a date to aim for.

Weigh in today. First week I know, but 5lbs

feel really p[leased with myself

Made a no count risotto-like thing tonight (Dry fry garlic / chicken / a lemon that has been peeled and sliced, add stock made from cubes, chuck in basmatti rice and simmer- easy!)

Didn't even reward weight loss with anything I shouldn't.

hi everyone..
looks like we're all in the same boat, finding it hard to stick to plan..
was down 0.5 lb last weigh in.. makes total loss 1st 12.5 lbs (26.5lbs) am 1 lb off initial goal of 10-5.5 which i was hoping to reach before i go on hols on 30th.. 11 days and 2 weigh ins away! had really really good weekend socially but diet wise i was a pig!! ate and drank so so much id hate to even calculate how many points i consumed! weekends are normally a bad time for me food wise but this past one was the worst ever!
was ok yesterday but did eat 20 pts (am supposed to use 18) so today im aiming for 16 to balance it out.. am drinking gallons of water in the hope of flushing out my system.........

It does fit with the shifts, whcih is really good for us as they do dominate our lives. I am a bit of an obsessive tho, so if i had a treat a day, I'd start to feel i was not working ahrd enough and then I'd be cutting that out, until i couldn't do it any more and then i would give up.

Well as long as you're back on track tomorrow, everyone needs a treat don't they?

Dior, I see what you mean about using it bit by bit, makes sense. My dh works nights though, so when he's home we always have a bottle of wine. At least I avoided the slab of chocolate this time, and went for Maltesers!!

BTW, I made a lovely card from that stamped image you sent-r eally pleased with it! If you CAt me your e-mail I will send you a copy.

I've done so bad this weekend.
Saturday went out for a pub lunch and had gammon, salad and new pots. which was pretty good but then I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, not so good.
Then in the evening I had a chinese takeaway.

Today I went to a bbq and ate loads of nice but naughty. Back to being good tomorrow

The guideline In was given by my leaders was 21 a week, so I had a good evening with DH (half a bottle of wine and a small treat), which used 14 but have only used 3 more since Tuesday, so not too bad overall!
