Got weighed in Boots. I am really pleased to be 10st 3 !! Have lost 3lbs ( in just over a week) and hope that is not too much but I have been eating all my points.

Hi everybody - Can I join your thread?

I joined ww last Wednesday. I am on the No Count diet, eating the permitted foods but feeling a bit out of control. I may switch to points next week.

I walk a lot and have been lifting a few weights each night after the baby goes to bed. I plan to make it to the gym next week when my babysitter is back from her holiday.

Starting weight was 10st 2lb. Goal weight is 8st 13lb. I am 5'3".

mummyof3 · 03/07/2005 20:46

Hi Linny,
Hope the big mac dream was yummy!!!
I've been on a diet since new years day 2005, i lost a stone on my own, but was struggling a bit in may, didn't loose a thing in 5 weeks so was getting fed up, then i joined WW and have lost every week, been going about 7 weeks now and lost 18lbs
Last week, on my crap week i lost 2lbs, leader said i'd to be careful this week as it might catch up wi me....
I tried on some size 12 jeans in Asda on thurs night, i got them on, and managed to even zip them up am going to buy them at the end of the month when i can sit down in them...
How have you done this week?

hi mummyof3.. was down 1 lb this week,
the big mac dream was delicious!
you're really doing brilliantly..
bought size 12 ben sherman jeans myself
2 weeks ago and i just love em, and my 14's are now too big so im thrilled.
dior.. what did you do with your clothes that were too big?? chuck em out or hang onto em (just in case) my sis (who lost 2.5st) a few years ago and has kept it off is recommending that i get rid of them all so that there's nothing to fit me if i do put weight back on which is an incentive not to fall back to old ways!
makes sense to get rid of them then yeah?
what does everyone think? chuck em or keep em?

mummyof3 · 04/07/2005 21:37

Hi Guy's
chuck 'em out... what more of an excuse does a girl need to buy more fab clothes??? I have deffinatley chucked out all my clothes, even ones i bought in feb for a weekend away with dh...

Well done linny, with the 1lb off. i dont know bout you, but i need the high i get from going to get weighed, arn't i strange....note to self...get out more!!!
but am getting bored with the same old stuff, any recipes doing the rounds for no count?

Hi Tomkitty xx

ark · 05/07/2005 10:02

My sister gave me a pouff/leather foot stool which she bought in Istanbul and basically you have to stuff it with old clothes - so all my big clothes are in it - and when I am feeling low about not losing weight I jump up and down on it or take out some fat clothes to look at! I have thrown away all middling big clothes so that it isn't easy to creep up without admiting to myself I have gained weight! Thats the plan anyway!

PeachyClair · 05/07/2005 10:55

Goping to my firt WW this week (after my birthday meal, LOL!)

Wish me luck! Need to lose 2 stone for my health as parents both have high BP. Will be grd though as EVERYONE else in my home (dh and three lads) are technically underweight, dh is 10st. HELP!

ark · 05/07/2005 13:21

hi peachy - have you joined a club or are you doing it at home on your own?

If its any motivation have lost 1 and half stone in 6 months and I love my food. I just go to a weighing session. There are loads of people on this thread who have been sucessful - once you get over the innitial decision to start it does get so much easier

PeachyClair · 05/07/2005 17:32

Going to the local class, tried on my own last year but not motivated enough

I am 12 stone and 5' 6". I want to be 10 stone, any smaller I look silly as I am very curvy indeed, even when I got (not healthily) down to eight stone in my early twenties I was a size 14 on my hips, and I am only a 16 now!! Jessica Rabbit, me!!

ark · 05/07/2005 17:40

I'd have no motivation alone either - I am wondering about my hips always being the same size coz everywhere alse has shrunk and keeps on shrinking but not the old hips! humph

PeachyClair · 05/07/2005 18:41

Some people have bigger hips, it's a fact, but it's also a fact that fat stored there is hardto shift coz it's a genetically advantageous place to store it.

Hi ladies

Can I join you?

Joined ww 2 weeks ago (second weigh in tonight).
Starting weight 11.13
Goal weight 9 stone.
height 5ft

My dd is 6 weeks old and I'm exclusivly bf so am on 29 points a day doing full choice/points.

lost 3.5lbs first week and hoping to have lost another pound or two this week.

ark · 06/07/2005 15:16

Hi Brighteyes , of course you can join us. well done a super loss for y our first week am sure you will be fine for the 2nd. How have you found the eating plan? Its funny even after a 5 months on ww still really build myself up for the weigh in! Good luck come and let us know how you get on - mine is tomorrow lunch time so will be back then for tea and sympathy!

Brighteyes · 06/07/2005 15:43

thanks for the welcome ark.

no problems sticking with the plan at the moment. Was on ww before I got pg and lost 1.5 st. Put it all back on plus another stone but its a small sacrifice to make for my wonderful dd. Just hope to get it all back off again now.

Good luck for tomorrow

fifilala · 06/07/2005 16:05

welcome fifilala, bright eyes and peachy.. welcome to this wonderful support thread..
keep posting regularly and you'll stay motivated

not having a great week, cant make weigh in tomorrow night and its having a bad effect on me knowing that i dont have to weigh in till next thurs! how sad is that?
as for the "big" clothes, not sure what to do with em yet..
i'll ponder on it for another while!

do you get "Galtee" products in uk?
they've brought out new "sinless" bacon and sausages..mmmmmmmmm
the bacon is to die for and only 0.5pt for each madallion, i put 2 of them (grilled) in roll (with middle picked out) with lettuce, tomato and extra light mayo (0.5 pt per 15ml) total pt 3.5 pts!! swear its to die for!!!!
anyone else got recipe or ideas??
could use a few more.....
