Have a good weekend ark.
I lost 2lb - i can'rt believe it. I have been really picky this week. Could it be the clothes i wear, as i have always worn the smae jeans and top to get weighed in, but today it was just too hot! Have also had period, and been sweating alot!
I am defo back on track now, just having a cup of tea and ww cake to celebrate, but i am now 13 st exactly, and can't weight till i start typing 12 something! My goal is 12st 10 for my hols (5 weeks away) but have dd christening first which will be a major pig out day, followed by a major binge drink when everyone has gone!
I hate to think how much weight i put on on last years holiday, we used to go for tea and cake everyday! Certainly wont be doing that this year - i will save my point for wine at night!

Can I join. I am attempting to do WW without the meetings ( I have about a stone to lose) I have a shopping guide etc from a couple of years ago but no willpower!! My DD is 13 weeks old and she is fully breastfed. My basic points would be 20 but just how many etc would I get for the BF??? Anyone know?
I am seriously starting today as I've been cheating upto now. I am hoping that I can stop cheating with your support

Hi all, im feeling so good (despite a hangover)
bought beautiful ben sherman jeans in a SIZE 12!!! am so so so happy!!
only trouble is now everyone's telling me i've enough lost and i really dont feel i have. really want to get down to 9-11, am now 10-8. wud be happy to be a size 12 forever more but still have alot of flab to shift.
my family are all telling me id be too thin at 9-11, and they're saying im taking it too far!
is that crazy or what??? know they're just concerned and all but its irritating the hell out of me! im 5' 4" so 9-11 is not under weight at all, did any of you get that from your friends/family?

10 points extra Dior! That's great. I can easily manage that - I think.
I am 10st 6 at moment. Goal weight 9st 7. I usually weigh myself once a week (or so) at Boots.

hi everyone.. so how's everybody doing this week??
me, i had disastrous day on sunday but otherwise im doing ok.. sunday's generally a bad day for me , but so far it seems that by body can handle 1 bad day and still lose a little weight each week so long as im extra good for the rest of the week..
Dior, quick question, when i've been bad, like on sunday for instance, for the next few days i eat around 16 pts to make up for it and it does the trick,im on 20 pts normally so if i save 4 pts a day, does it balance out the days i over indulge?
kinda been doing it this way all along and it seems to be working for me, but wondering in your opinion as a leader if you think its ok?

as for family tellin me i've enough lost etc i am of course ignoring it all,and aiming for 9-11 eventually and see how i feel at that, as you said id still only have half a stone to play around with,so maybe i'll need a little more off realistically, but hey, im a long way off 9-11 yet so no need to be losing the run of myself!!

mummyof3 · 28/06/2005 21:52

Hi Linny,
i'm 5.5" and 10.12, and i want to be 9st for new years day. I think your doing a great job and you should ignore all those people who put you off, bet they're the ones who never said anything when you where bigger.... stick to a goal that makes you happy.

I know my family are not the smallest of people ans since i've lost almost 2 an 1/2 stone all my mother can do is bitch...my hubby loves the new me, not the size but my personality has changed..for the better...altho last night he had a nightmare that i'd gone to skin and bone like the robbie williams video for rock dj,....not a story i wanted to hear at 7.10am.
keep up the good work.

mummyof3 · 28/06/2005 21:59

i've done very very bad this week...had kebebs an beer an choccy... not lookin forward to weigh in on thurs, i've not stuck to diet on any day this week, an now feel like crap....v.dissapointed in myself...

linnywith2 · 28/06/2005 22:21

thanks for that mummyof3..
ah i know they mean well but its really annoying amd my dh, like yours loves the change its made in me (even though im buying clothes every week now as i've re-gained my love for shopping and its not doing bank balance any favours!) he'd love me if i was 24st but knows how miserable i am when i feel fat, so he supports me no matter what, which is brilliant...
its not really about how much/little you weigh is it? its more to do with how you feel about yourself, whether your 18st or 8st isnt it??
im off to bed now for a sweet dream about i BIG MAC!!!!!!!!! i love em i love em i love em.....

linnywith2 · 28/06/2005 22:29

oh and mummyof3, meant to say to you dont worry about having a bad week, we all have those, you're doing brilliantly, 2.5 st lost, thats amazing! how long have you been doing it?
now im really off to bed for my delicious dream!!

loobywoof · 29/06/2005 12:23

Dior, I am using extra points for snacks between meals - things like yoghurt, raisins, bananas and cheese. Does this sound OK?

ark · 29/06/2005 14:04

hi

just thinking about whether you could have really good week and not see the effect for how longg???? surely if you eat a big mac on a wednesday you don't weigh that on the thursday and like wise if you eat salad all week it takes longer than a week for that to reflect?? so whats the deal with metabolism?? Anybody know?

missed last week meeting coz of work and am dreading tomorrow coz haven't had tiime to be at gym again because of work and feel like I have been eating really badly - I can't seem to motivate myself beyond my cravings. help

fee77 · 30/06/2005 13:29

How did you get on ark?
I have tried to be good this week, but have been picking at cheese whilst cooking! Very naughty. I weighed myslef at home this morning, and i was under 13 st!!!!! I am soooo chuffed, but it is the official weigh in tomorrow.
I am allowed 24 pts atm, and hardly ever eat them all, but i usually have a piggier day or two at the weekend so it all balances out. But i am hate to think how much i most have been eating before. I must just have shovelled food in my mouth for the sake of it.
Linny - go for what you want to do. I had the same arguements with my friends and family last time i lost weight (got to 10st 8!!!! Never again!). I think some of it is jealousy - just pick a weight that you can maintain easily - good luck!

ark · 30/06/2005 15:04

after all that worying i lost half a pound! so I am back at being half a POUND FROM MY NEXT SILVER SEVEN - DEFO BRING IT ON NEXT THURSDAY!

Oops sorry caps lock!

It is shocking when you think about what we must have been consuming pre ww - back on the wagon as of now no more desperate posts! I promise

Good luck for tomorrow fee

hi everyone..
was down 1 lb tonight..
edging little closer to initial goal..
1.5 lbs to go, am now 10-7. initial goal is 10-5.5
and then i'll set my next goal of i think 10st
ultimate aim is 9-7 but dont want to think of that just yet..
aimed in the begining to get to 10-5 by my hols which is 4 weeks away so that leaves me with 2 to go..
well done to all on your loss..
keep it up

ark · 01/07/2005 10:24

HI Dior - I know that feeling, I guess part of the issue with ww is that you eat really healthily and you are so focussed on doing so that the slightest slip, which may have been nothing pre ww feels like the most enormous failure. I am really focussing on how much better my lifestyle is now than then. Part of my problem is that I go for a lunch time weigh in without a meeting so whilst my ww leader is lovely there really isn't the opportubity to chat about issues, I would guess Dior that now you are a leader yourself it must be a little strange not having the opportunity to discuss you ww experience?????? Maybe thats what we are here for!! Anyways hope things are looking up

A X

fee77 · 01/07/2005 12:48

Yeah! I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week - total 26 1/2 lbs! And i am now under 13 stone. I am feeling dead chuffed today, and have been and bought some sexy knickers to celebrate!
I am the same as you ark, focusing on how my life has improved. Since christmas i havelost nearly 2 stone and given up smoking. I have so much more energy now, and am becoming more confident. I still have the odd binge, but then i feel lethargic and grouchy, so it does me no favours!
I am off to give blood soon - how much does 1 pint weight?!!!!!!!!!!!!
