RGPargy · 26/11/2008 11:22

hi everyone.

I think from now on til Xmas it's going to be a diet nightmare!

I have a work dinner tonight to go to so the diet's out tonight.

Next week is DD's birthday so friday/Saturday's dieting will be out.

The week after i have another work's dinner, so diet will be out on that day.

Week after that i have a work's lunch and then next day the work's Xmas party. More dieting nightmares!

I suppose really i should try my best to be a little extra good to make up for the fact that i am eating out/drinking alot lately??

educatingRia · 26/11/2008 22:19

phew RG, busy. If you eat sensibly on days/meals where you aren't partying, I'm sure it'll balance out.

Hope you have/had a nice evening tonight.

I have just eaten a packet of hula hoops. I stupidly decided to extend my little cleaning job in the kitchen to doing all the bloody cupboards (and rearranging stuff as DH is out) and I haven't finished yet. May have to succumb to toast to keep me going. ANd my sciatica is twinging from crawling around on the floor

RGPargy · 27/11/2008 11:08

Morning!

The meal last night was ok. It was in a Kosher Jewish restaurant so the food tasted a little alien in places, but generally it was very nice. Got home at about 12.30 tho - far too late! I'm knackered today!

Ria - did you succumb to the toast?

How's everybody been?

OP posts:
educatingRia · 27/11/2008 11:42

Hi RG, glad you had a good time. I had toast and chicken sandwiches in the end, but didn't actually get sat down til nearly midnight. I have clean cupboards though (just the big one with half of the cookbooks in it left to do. maybe later...)

RGPargy · 27/11/2008 12:58

ooo well done Ria. I should take a leaf out of your book (no pun intended there!) and clean my cupboards but tbh, i cant think of anything more boring! haha!! I really should do it tho. Dont think they've been cleaned since we first moved in 18 months ago...

OP posts:
educatingRia · 27/11/2008 16:45

did the drawers, but not the cupboard. too tired. maybe tomorrow.

have to cook now. pah.

RGPargy · 28/11/2008 12:23

ugh, it just seems like such a chore doesn't it. Unfortunately i'm much more likely to "not see" the grime and just carry on as normal haha!!

OP posts:
bran · 29/11/2008 10:45

Hi RG , are you still looking for clothes? DS is settled in his new school, he loves it and they seem to like him a lot too, so he's going full days from Monday. Which means I've got some free time again.

I've got lots and lots of stuff so I'll probably have to edit it down to the things that you need the most and that are most likely to fit you.

Good going with the gym, I've been feeling the lack of exercise now that I drive DS to school. I used to take him on the bus and walk home, then (a few times a week) walk up to fetch him and bring him home on the train. That was 1.55 miles each way, and I really feel the difference now that I'm not doing it.

Ria well done on the cupboards. Do you fancy doing mine too? I don't think I've ever done them.

educatingRia · 29/11/2008 15:43

no thanks bran! I still have the rest of my house to do

RGPargy · 29/11/2008 23:12

hi bran! Yes, i'm still looking for clothes - i can never have enough! it does make me laugh when people say "oh i'd better get my summer clothes out of the loft" because ALL my clothes are used for the whole year lol. Sometimes i really wish i spent alot more on clothes than i do (i.e. nothing lol). I'm happy to pay postage for anything you send me - just say the word!

Why are you driving DS to school now, rather than getting the bus? is it because of the weather recently? Glad he's settling in at school, bless him.

perhaps we should all clear out our cupboards together!! (NOT!).

Hope you've all had a lovely day!

OP posts:
bran · 30/11/2008 16:29

I had to pull DS out of his previous school (link here. His new school is the other side of the Rotherhithe tunnel, it's between 15 and 25 mins by car or an eternity on public transport with a whingey child.

I've got too many to post, I thought I could drop them off to you in the city (you are in the city aren't you?). I've even got too many to carry really so I'll have to edit it down to the things you are most likely to get use out of. Most of it is quite unstructured so it will be flexible across different shapes and sizes, but unless you are very apple-shaped you'd only be able to wear some of the trousers.

RGPargy · 30/11/2008 22:21

Bran - glad you got DS sorted at school. what a nightmare for you!! Still, if he's happier then that's the most important thing.

I do work in the city, yes, but i'm not at work now til Wednesday 10th December. I should be able to meet any time after that. Either that or i could paypal you, say £20 and you could send what you can for that amount and then we can meet up for the rest?! haha i'm so cheeky! you might not even WANT to give me loads!

Basically, as far as trousers go, i have large thighs so all of my trousers are either wide leg or stretch or the next size up so that it'll fit my legs. I think i'm more of a pear than an apple. i have got a waist (somewhere) and my hips are deffo bigger than my bust. Think that's a pear anyway!

how's everyone been this weekend? DP's parents are buying us a dining room suite for Christmas It's a huge present, but obviously we wont be getting a really expensive one or anything. I think the one we've chosen is around £250, reduced from £500. Bargain! We've been moving the dining room around today to try and accommodate it. At the moment the dining room is used as a music studio/decks room. The vinyl, decks and music pc do get in the way but we've now moved the music pc to the conservatory temporarily and had a jig around with the rest of the stuff and it looks much bigger in here already! Now all we need to do is move the breakfast bar a bit and we should be sorted. This is just until we can afford to do the room up properly, i.e. replastering, decorating etc. It'll do for now tho!

OP posts:
RGPargy · 04/12/2008 21:45

Blimey, where are you all?!!!

OP posts:
bran · 05/12/2008 17:35

I'd like to think that everyone is off exercising their socks off, but I suspect they are actually shopping, going to office parties, drinking too much and eating mince pies.

I don't think many of my trousers will fit you as they were all carefully chosen to fit narrow hips and legs and a large waist. I'll send any wide-leg ones that I have. It might take me a wee while to get around to posting stuff as I'm ignoring tackling other more urgent things first.

SummatAnNowt · 08/12/2008 19:09

Am crap at keeping up with this thread as I mn in bursts here and there!

Anyway, my goal at the start of this year was to weigh less at the end than I did at the start and I achieved it!

My total loss for the whole year is 30lbs!!!!

Sure I still have loads to go, but the more I keep it up the easier it gets and I know I can probably lose that in about 4-5 months next year rather than taking a whole year.

Am very chuffed with self. It's possible!

RGPargy · 08/12/2008 22:03

Bran - I think you are right about the office parties and eating too many mince pies! Great stuff re the clothes, much appreciated.

Summat - Well done on your loss!! That's brilliant! Keep it up! I think i will take on your goal of weighing less this time next year than what i do now.

I'm having real trouble getting into WW (or any diet for that matter!) at the moment. it's probably due to too many things happening, i.e. office parties, DD's first birthday, Xmas parties this week and next and then Xmas. it's a dieter's nightmare!

Hope you've all got more willpower than me!

RGChristmasPargy · 11/12/2008 17:14
