MooandPops · 18/11/2008 20:03

Ok Ok you have heard it all before, I have a gazillion stones and pounds to lose but this is me and this is the first time that I really have put my hands up and said enough - 16.5 stones is too much I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!

My best way of eating properly is a low Gi diet but anyone doing any diet is welcome to be my buddy. I have a DS, a DD and a DH all of which keep me on my toes - I love all the things that are bad for me - I slip up all the time - I don't exercise enough and my clothes are too tight.... sound familiar anyone?

Please..;.pretty please?

Well ladies, my weigh in this morning was 93kg, which is 14st 9lb. so a few pounds off.

Missnatalie I am so impressed that you are ready for Christmas!! We are getting our DS christened on Sunday, so I haven't even thought of Christmas beyond that.

Mooandpops fingers crossed for you.

missnatalie · 26/11/2008 12:07

Well done TheYearofTheCat thats 4lbs isnt it. Well done.

Hows the weigh in gone for you MooandPops

Im feeling a bit bloated today. Yesterday i had:

Porridge
Tuna Sandwich
Home mad Spag Bol + cheesy garlic bread. Probably explains why i feel bloated

MooandPops · 26/11/2008 18:30

Sooooooo...how have you done miss Cat? Due to the fact that am rushed off my pins I cant strip off to see this eve but did stand on the scales this am and was 3.5lb lighter (although I do know that one is generally lighter in the am anyway) but hey...for today there is 3 1bs less of me!

How did you get on then eh eh eh?

Well done then gals - Miss Cat...4lbs!!! That is fantastic, I must say I do feel a bit better already.

MissNatalie - its not your weigh in day today is it? Friday right?

What sort of a day have I had?? Well I have to say that I did slip a bit at picking the childrens food but on the whole I'm really getting into the habit of not nibbling and chucking it straight into the bin - a miracle for me being mrs Hoover Dustbin. Getting into the groove of it all but missing the odd treat.

Worked like a demon the past two days so no exercise but will try to do some asap - getting r e a l l y bored of my one and only exercise dvd now.

WELL DONE US!!!! Looking forward to Friday Miss Natalie.

Good luck for the Christening Miss Cat, lovely time of the year to do it! Hands off the vol-au-vonts though!!

Fab news MooandPops! Missnatalie must be great to be eating normally again! Hope you are feeling a bit better.

I still haven't done any exercise. I had a look at channel 275? on Sky - body in balance channel, which does yoga, pilates etc - but I haven't had a chance (read inclination) to actually do any of the classes yet.

missnatalie · 27/11/2008 14:08

Hi, yes tomorrow is my weigh in day. Im due on i think so am retaining alot of water and feeling very bloated. I hope that the scales dont realise . Im hoping that there going to be kind.

YearofTheCat im so happy yo be eating again. Doing the juicing has helped me to stop snacking though and has helped me to not crave chocolate and sweet things.

Talking of juicing and sorry if TMI but once i came off the juice and started eating again, i got very constipated. Only just started to go again yesterday . Oh well i think that im almost guaranteed to have lost a couple of pounds there then

missnatalie · 27/11/2008 14:13

MooandPops · 28/11/2008 19:50

Wahey Miss Natalie

A pound is a loss and you have lost 7lb!!! That is just fantastic - half a stone - Well done...next Friday another and another and soon 6 months will be up and we will be super yummy mummies with super flat tummies (yes I know but its Friday and have had a couple of red wines!)

Actually i don't think my tummy will ever be flat but am not sure i want that anyway...I like being curvey!

Am gathering up sponsorship and am now up to about £200 - magic.

Today has not been a bad day....have eaten...

Cranks toast 1 bit
nibble of childrens toast...ahem
2 wraps (small ones) with ham, cheese and advocado
2 apples
beef and tomato casserole (in oven as we speak)
2 glasses of vino
handful of nuts

I love the gi diet..you are genuinly just not hungry between meals.

Would just love to be under the 16Stone mark next wednesday...currently standing at 16s3lbs.

Be brave tommorrow dear hearts..all the family is home!

How you doing Miss Cat?

TheYearOfTheCat · 28/11/2008 21:19

Missnatalie - 1/2 stone in 2 weeks! Great job.

I haven't had a great day today. I work Mondays & Fridays, and they are always pretty frantic, meaning I don't get much of a chance to eat. Sounds great, but I was starvo by the time I got home tonight.

So today I had:

Pineapple and greek yoghurt
2 satsumas
1 fifteen (I was visiting a sick colleague - I had no choice )
2/3 pizza

I am currently working my way through a bottle of wine - it is Friday after all.

MooandPops · 30/11/2008 11:49

Hello there and happy sunday (or rather yukky miserable weather)

Believe it or not I went for a bike ride this am around the park twice...then got home and did some tummy exercises...all before 9pm - WOW! Then..DH did the same ~(I nearly fainted! )

have drunk roo much this weekend though...Don't worry about it miss Cat...a slip up is allowed and to be enjoyed!

roastie today...

I know I have to do more exercise...What are your plans for shaking us booties next week?

missnatalie · 01/12/2008 10:40

Aaaarrggghh ive had such a bad weekend (food wise).

My sis came down from Manchester to stay with up for the weekend and weve eaten CRAP all weekend.

Friday night Pizza hut
Saturday morning left over Pizza hut
Saturday night mini chicken wings, mini spare ribs, meatballs, mini sausage, pigs in bacon, and sausage rolls.
sunday Full chicken roast, 1/4 tin of Heros.

OMG Aaaagggrrrhhh!!!!

Im staying well away from the scales. I really dont want ot know how much weight ive put on.

Hows everyone else done?

MooandPops · 01/12/2008 20:49

Fret not Missnatalie...you can swing around and my immediate thought is at least you had some pizza left on Saturday am...this means you left some...this means er...do you get where am coming from about smaller portions or is this just not going anywhere!?! Trying to make you feel better...in a nutshell it doesnt matter!

You have loads of time until Friday when you weigh in. Praps do lots of exercise if you get the chance.

DS & DD both ill this weekend so we did nothing..it was lovely. Really missed boozing though - I love red wine!

Can't believe its Monday already. Will be lucky to have lost a pound this week - I can feel it.

Well done MooandPops. Come on TheYearofTheCat dont keep us asll in suspence, how much have you lost?

My weigh in is tomorrow but i dont feel like ive even lost a lb. Tomorrow will tell.

I think ive messed up with my weigh ins to be honest. Ive been weighing myself on the Wii Fit board rather thatnon scales. The fit board it on a thick pile carpet not a solid surface, so i think that i might be getting the wrong readings. Me thinks ill have to invest in some new scales .

TheYearOfTheCat · 04/12/2008 21:38

Hi all, sorry I'm late with my progress report!

I have been doing an intensive course all this week, and haven't had a moment to myself!

It has been a week of mixed fortunes. My DS got christened, and we had a great time - but I have to admit to eating a few slices of cake [oops].

The course I am doing is in the city centre, so I have been doing quite a lot of walking rather than having to face Xmas traffic and parking hassles.

But . . . we go to a restaurant every day for our lunch.

The good news is I am sticking to the no alcohol during the week.

Anyway, my weigh in yesterday was 92.6kg, so only 1 lb lost last week. I would really like to achieve 90kg by Xmas.

Well done Mooandpops, good luck for tomorrow MissNat

MooandPops · 05/12/2008 18:47

Lovely to hear you Miss Cat and well done on that pound of fat which is no longer on your hips!!

Miss Natalie...how did you get on today?

Defo feeling thinner/a bit faster now...need to do mega more exercise though....

Weekend is here!

Red wine this eve....god I just want to get plastered!

Oh Mooandpops, I feel your pain!

It's never going to be plain sailing (I know, I too have slipped up this week), but I suppose if I can offer any words of advice, it would be these:

  1. Don't beat yourself up over slip ups. Just put it behind you, and start tomorrow as you mean to go on. Remember, slow and steady
  1. If you are craving unhealthy snacks, try having a glass of water first, before you submit to temptation.
  1. If you really really crave something, maybe it's worth having a little of what you fancy? ie one biscuit, not the whole packet. (personally, I am unable to do this, it's a whole packet or nothing)

Now, if I could only concentrate on taking my own advice!!

Hope this week is good for you - 3 days to weigh in

MissNat How are you doing?

missnatalie · 08/12/2008 12:06

Just a quickie girls. Ive gained 1lb ...Oh well . Im blaming AF as she turned up on Saturday with bags full of retained water .

Will catch up later xx

MooandPops · 08/12/2008 19:06

Hey Gals

Lovely to hear you and thanks for 3 pointers Miss Cat, all really good. Still feeling bored and fed up with it today and had a rubbish eating day too. Today have eaten

Fruit and Fibre
Oatcakes and peanut butter
pickle and cheese on rivita
2 hard boiled eggs
about to have fishcakes and watercress
About 1 slice of toast nibbled from the children.

I think my problem is that although the gi diet is brilliant for not being hungry you have to know all about the diet BEFORE you do it (eg...have been stuffing down peanut butter like no tomorrow only to find out its a massive no no - gits didn't explain that one to me!). The other thing is that you have to be SO organised and you must know where your next meal is coming from - you can't be hungry without knowing what your next fix is for it takes ages to pull something together.

I think in truth I have put about 21bs back on - so now standing at 16st 4lbs having started at 16 8lb I suppose it could be worse.

Oh well - back on with it. Am going to look at a gym tomorrow. Its nothing special but I don't feel like going to a massively plush posh one just now - something out of a Rocky movie would do me thinks!

Thats it, thanks for listening and much love

(hmm)
