We were ttc for the last few months but have now decided to stick with what we have got so I now want to get ME back , (sods law I will find out I am pregnant )

Anyone want to come and join me ?

I am not following a specific diet other than the obvious
"Eat less crap and move around a bit more "

Congrats PP

ErnestTheBavarian · 20/11/2008 07:47

took the boys to the dreaded mcPlop last night after marathon swimming session - and I abstained totally. Didn't even pinch a chip. tbh not too difficult as not a huge fan of their crap food but I was starving and resisted. I'll polish my halo.

How's everyone else getting on?

DQ pull your finger out and get your stepper thing out and buy some scales. come on. I'm waiting (drums fingers)

travellingwilbury · 20/11/2008 07:48

Good morning everyone

Well done PP

I have got to go and do some more dreaded christmas shopping today . It is always great fun with a 2yr old

I am going to try and do my walk first as that is the only thing I can think of that helped me last week

Hope everyone is all motivated today

That's me told

Just what I need though - been rubbish this week!

ErnestTheBavarian · 21/11/2008 12:34

I've just baked a dense chocolate loaf, and have to look at it till Sunday for ds's birthday party. and have a house full of sweets and e numbers

bitofadramaqueen · 21/11/2008 14:01

I found some jeans that fit, and even better, they were only a tenner!

Ernest - sending you virtual willpower!

debinaustria · 21/11/2008 20:29

well done bdq

I have lost all self control - today - biscuits, curly wurly, etc...etc...

I suppose there's 1 advantage to the snow arriving - snow clearing is a great calorie burner!

ErnestTheBavarian · 22/11/2008 09:04

no snow to clear. was pretty good. did lick the beaters and had 2 fairy cakes. had to have one to see if it tasted ok. it tasted a bit funny if you ask me (recipe called for 1 tspn vinegar??) and we only had apple wine vinegar. genuinely wanted to see if edible. Thought it had a weird taste, so tried another. also had weird taste. hmm, hope kids don't notice

debinaustria · 22/11/2008 11:23

vinegar in fairy cakes? I've put it in meringues but not cakes -lol at tasting 2

ErnestTheBavarian · 22/11/2008 11:33

believe me, genuine curiosity. wouldn't recommend recipe

Naive · 22/11/2008 11:46

Hello everyone. No idea what I weigh but I need to drop 3 dress sizes. Please can I join, too? Got one DS who's 7 months and I'm a lard arse 14-16 at the mo.

My food diary for today so far is:
2 'food-doctor' small granary pitta breads with natural yoghurt, chicken and a tiny bit of lancahire crumbly cheese.

Not the best, but not the worst either.

My biggest food sins are:
-Dominoes Pizza
-Late night munchies
-Home made pizza
-cheese burgers and chips and mayo
-Takeaways in general, in fact
-No time to exercise

What sort of things COULD I eat? Keep it v.v.v. simple, I HATE cooking and when I want food, I want it NOW lol.

travellingwilbury · 24/11/2008 09:19

Good morning all

Welcome Naive

I am hopeless on a weekend , I have no willpower at all to keep the diet up but I am hoping that the good work during the week is enough
I have got no car at the moment so I will have no option but to walk everywhere which is no bad thing at the moment .

How was everyones weekend ? I hope you have all been better than me

bitofadramaqueen · 24/11/2008 09:40

Morning everyone! Been fairly bad over the weekend, but today heralds the start of a new me.

HAve walk planned later AND I'm going to get the lateral thigh trainer thingy out of the cupboard.

Welcom Naive. I'm a bit the same on time to exercise, but am determined to find the time to fit it in - otherwise I'm going to be in my size 16 jeans forever! I'm also guilty on the late night munchies, so now me and DH are banned from having them in the house.

Naive · 24/11/2008 12:16

I've not read the whole thread- has anyone tried the wii fit? What's it like? I might get one.

I went for a wedding dress fitting on Saturday and since the end of JUly I've lost:

Not much off my boobs
2 inches off my waist
4 inches off my hips.

How much should I be losing per month? How can I lose it off my fat back?

ErnestTheBavarian · 25/11/2008 10:36

hi all. ds's birthday party at weekend, plus nibbly husband = not a good week.

hi Naive - well done on what you've lost so far. re losing it off your back, I don't think there's anything specific you can do - it will come off eventually rom everywhere, you can't chose 1 place (or we'd all leave it on our boobs, right. Or is that just me am not looking forward to finishing bf.

re wii fit, not tried it, but have ordered wii family trainer. Reviews say it's really energetic and a really fun game to play with the kids and I think will have more mileage than the wii fit. Oh, and it's half the price, or less.

bitofadramaqueen · 25/11/2008 17:40

Rubbish week. Still eating leftover christening cake... Am going to get the stepper/trainer thingy out tonight though. Definitely.

ErnestTheBavarian · 26/11/2008 07:54

bdq -

I'm today 65.1, so 0.7 kilos, which is 1.54 lb - not too bad. It would be better if it weren't for dh at weekends, cos a. he'd moan at me 'dieting' and b wants to go out for meals etc so I think it's a question of 3 steps forward and 2 steps back when he's around.

Anyway, good news is I can fit (just) into 1 pair of pre preg jeans. I can't say they're comfy - breathing is an issue, but hey, I can sit down, ride a bike and they aren't mat jeans. I have another pair the supposed same size form the same shop, that I can't fit into, so I'm making that my goal for the week.

We changed out travel dates slightly - so I am coming to UK exactly 3 weeks today am gonna look so crap next to glamourous gorgeous always impeccably stylish and slender sil Makes me feel like BV fat ugly dumpy little sister (if she has one)

travellingwilbury · 26/11/2008 08:02

Well done Ernest

I have put on a pound , I am not that surprised as I was convinced last week I should have stayed the same and lost 3 so I think it has all caught up with me .

Onwards and upwards , I don't have a car at the moment so that should help with the walking (every cloud and all that )

How is everyone else ?

BDQ Is that stepper out of the cupboard yet ?

Naive I have no idea how you deal with back fat but I reckon if it starts coming off it will come off their as well , good luck .

Deb How you getting on ? Have you recovered fro the curly wurly eating ?

PP Where are you ? I hope you have had a good week

OP posts:
bitofadramaqueen · 26/11/2008 09:27

TW no . In my defence, I need DH to fish it out for me as it's way at the back of a very full box room size cupboard, and he had too many other chores last night.

I'm rubbish at this. Will endeavour to do better.

Great news on the jeans Ernest.

ThePenguinProject · 26/11/2008 14:09

Well done Ernest, great news about the jeans! DH, DS and I were meant to be having a photo session this weekend but now DH has to work , it's now 06/12. So how much weight can I lose in ten days, would three stone be unreasonable?

TW - I hate it when the scales show what I deserve, not what I want.

Luckily this week, it was the other way round for me. 2lb lost, I have no idea how though!

11 lb down, 21 lb to go. (Sounds better than a stone and a half!)

ErnestTheBavarian · 26/11/2008 15:08

pp well done. fantastic.

travellingwilbury · 26/11/2008 17:02

Well done PP

Not sure about the 3 stone in ten days but maybe a few more pounds anyway

You are more than a third of the way there , well done you

debinaustria · 26/11/2008 19:15

Well done to all those who lost weight this week. I had such a bad week I even forgot to weigh myself this morning so I'll do it tomorrow.

debinaustria · 27/11/2008 07:29

I'm back on track(lost 1 lb) so let's hope that's enough to spur me on in my weaker moments.

bitofadramaqueen · 27/11/2008 08:28

Well done deb. I'm going to try and not have cake today . Supposed to be going for very long walk but it's pouring down at the moment.
