Anyone want to come and join me ?

I am not following a specific diet other than the obvious
"Eat less crap and move around a bit more "

Well done you PP , I didn't do brilliantly over the w/e but back on track today .

Weather is grim here today so no walk for me today but I do have to do a load of housework . Happy days

Morning all. Hoping for quite a bit of walking again as taking S to a baby class later and planning to walk to and from rather than getting the bus.

Good luck today everyone!

ErnestTheBavarian · 10/11/2008 16:16

Hi all, I'm feeling quite proud of myself. I've never had this sort of willpower before.

Dh brought me back 4 crunchies. I had one today, but mainly cos he'd get the humo about all the trouble he's gone to, then I don't even eat it, blah blah, but I did ony have the 1. otherwise, I've very much been on the straight and narrow. I'll be so gutted if I haven't lost on Wednesday's weigh in.

Not been anywhere near active enough though, though I did do the shopping and collect ds from kindergarten with the bike trailer. how's everyone else doing?

nappyaddict · 10/11/2008 16:47

The juicing thing is a lot less faff than i thought. I got a whole fruit juicer for £20 from tesco so no peeling or chopping required and it takes less than a minute to make the juice. it takes me longer than that to even make a quick thing like a sandwich or a piece of toast. you put a carrier bag in the pulp container so you don't have to wash it up and then just wash the rest up once a day.

ThePenguinProject · 10/11/2008 18:08

Was out with other Mums (waves at Sponge) and was a little bit bad having a lovely lamb kofta burger with fries... But I left most of the bun (no point wasting calories on bread when there's chips to be eaten! ). And I had a meal replacement shake for breakfast (125 cal) so not feeling too guilty.

Dinner is fish and veg, so again good, but need to think of something for the after dinner munchies. Any suggestions?

bitofadramaqueen · 10/11/2008 18:38

PP I'm a fan of weightwatchers frozen chocolate eclairs for post-dinner/evening snacks. They take half an hour to defrost, so you have to really want them to go to the effort of taking them out of the freezer and waiting for them .

Have not been too well-behaved today on the food front. And I have half a packet of pringles left from the weekend that I'll probably eat later. I did have a good walk earlier though so not feeling too guilty.

Ernest well done on the crunchies. I find it really hard to concentrate on anything when there's chocolate in the house.

debinaustria · 10/11/2008 19:16

Ernest - that is serious willpower, I am very impressed, to have cadbury's in the house and only eat one - wow.

ThePenguinProject · 10/11/2008 21:00

BDQ - Mmmm, choc eclairs sound lovely. Will try and get some 2m.

Deb, you mentioned the C word and now I've remembered that I've got a bar of CDM in the cupboard, how on earth have I forgotten that? Desperately trying to develope amnesia again!

bitofadramaqueen · 10/11/2008 22:07

HAve eaten 2 choc eclairs and some pringles. But I didn't finish the box. Progress. When I was pg I'd have had a full tube of pringles and some minstrels to keep me going. Ah, those were the days...

ThePenguinProject · 10/11/2008 23:05

Me too BDQ, unfortunately that's why I'm on this thread...! Well done on your self restraint.

I'm so proud of myself, I gave DH the CDM and just had a lollipop (50cal) instead.

Good morning everyone .

Weigh in day tomorrow . Last kick today , I really hope I have lost a couple of pounds tomorrow . I have managed not to get on the scaled at all this week which is good . Normally if I am trying to lose weight I am on and off all the time .

I am going off christmas shopping this morning (Joy of joys ) and then nothing much planned .

How is everyone ?

I had a crunchie for breakfast. That's good in't it? I figured eating it 1st thing, thus giving me a chance to burn it off was not disgusting and greedy, but on the contrary well-thought out and logical. That's right, isn't it?

bitofadramaqueen · 11/11/2008 09:03

Seems perfectly logical to me Ernest.

I'm going to be good today . DH taking DS swimming and I'm going shopping which will no doubt inspire me to lose weight.

I don't actually have any scales as have never weighed myself in my entire adult life.

TW good luck with the christmas shopping - I'm hoping to finish mine today!

travellingwilbury · 11/11/2008 09:17

Ernest I think that makes complete sense

BDQ I can't believe you are going to be finished your christmas shopping , I have hardly started and I have got loads of people to buy for .

Friend bought round choc cake, 2 slices and 550cals later...not exactly the healthiest of lunches . Now must resist the remaining two slices.

travellingwilbury · 11/11/2008 16:12

Good luck PP

Maybe you could keep it and have it tomorrow after you have weighed in the morning .

I have managed to get loads of shopping done today but still a long long way to go .

bitofadramaqueen · 11/11/2008 19:11

I found a dress that didn't make me look 6 foot wide . It's for DS's baptism in a couple of weeks and I'm so relieved to have finally found something.

Didn't do exercise as such today, but did traipse round the shops for a few hours so that must count. Off to London on Thursday for a long w/e which is bound to involve alcohol, cake, takeaways and erm, some more alcohol. Maybe I need to start again next week...

travellingwilbury · 11/11/2008 19:23

Well done on the dress , I hate clothes shopping now , but hopefully all that will change soon .
A w/e in London sounds fab Don't give up just yet though , spirits and mixers are the way forward . All will be well .

bad day here, choc bar and muller corner yoghurt with choc balls in - why why why??
Not looking forward to tomorrow now

ErnestTheBavarian · 11/11/2008 21:24

will it cheer you up if I tell you I had 2 crunchies.

And some gummi Bärli

I should feel guilty....

debinaustria · 11/11/2008 22:16

No it won't cheer me up - I want a crunchie !!!

travellingwilbury · 12/11/2008 06:51

Good morning everyone

I have lost 4 pounds

I am really pleased , I have got a weigh to go yet but its a good start . If I can do 2 pounds a week now I will be really happy .

I have gt the excitement of food shopping this morning then a farm park this afternoon . My eldest has started school full time this week so I feel guilty about taking his younger brother on his own (how pathetic am I ? )

Fingers crossed for everyone this morning x

Morning Well done TW - 4 lbs - wow. Have a great day today, know what you mean about the guilt - isn't that what parenthood is about though?? Loved the sentence about having a "weigh" to go - weighing on the brain eh?

I have lost 1 kg which is about 2 lb - yippee. Fingers crossed I can keep this up, I don't mind if I lose less just as long as I don't put it back on.

travellingwilbury · 12/11/2008 07:23

Well done Deb

Its nice to see the scales going in the right direction for a change isn't it ?

I just hope I can keep the motivation up
