As above really

I have got 2 1/2 stone to lose and really need to get motivated so I am hoping by coming on here and admitting it I will keep it up .

We were ttc for the last few months but have now decided to stick with what we have got so I now want to get ME back , (sods law I will find out I am pregnant )

Anyone want to come and join me ?

I am not following a specific diet other than the obvious
"Eat less crap and move around a bit more "

Great results Deb and TW!

Well, it looks like the sickness bug may have been worth the pain afterall. Three days of no food whatsoever and three days of being good = 8lb loss!

bitofadramaqueen · 12/11/2008 09:26

Well done everyone! I don't have any scales, so no idea if any weight loss. Am possibly tempted to buy some, but a bit scared too! Will I have to pay a fortune for accurate ones?

PP are you feeling better?

ErnestTheBavarian · 12/11/2008 14:18

Hi all. I've lost 1.7 kilos, that's 3.75 lb apparently. I'm pretty disappointed really apart from going crazy on a couple of crunchies I was so strict.

My sensible head says that's already a lot in 1 week, can't expect to lose more than that blah blah blah.
My fat, big bum, big thighs, huge belly, sick of my maternity jeans, desperate to slim down in time for Christmas head is very disappointed and pissed off.

bitofadramaqueen · 12/11/2008 15:12

Well done Ernest - that's really good! It is a lot in one week.

Did a 3 mile walk today so feeling quite pleased with myself. Did have a flyte chocolate bar as a treat though .

All these long walks around lunchtime make me really hungry so I need to start thinking of filling, but healthy lunches. Any suggestions anyone? At home on mat leave, but lunch needs to be something quick and easy to prepare and quick and easy to eat!

Have spotted some reasonably priced scales so may buy some..

ThePenguinProject · 12/11/2008 15:56

Ernest - if you keep that up it's a stone in a month, that's fantastic!

BDQ - Soup? Roasted veggies with cous cous? Baked potato? I'm making myself hungry now... BTW, I did some ironing today and even bought some special irning water.

debinaustria · 12/11/2008 15:56

ernest - that's a great amount to lose, especially when you're bfeeding as much more may affect your milk.

bitofadramaqueen · 12/11/2008 17:04

at ironing water PP I hardly iron at all now. I'm even sleeping in crumpled sheets!

Soup is a good idea - might get some made next week so it's easy to heat at lunchtime.

Never really been a big baked potato eater - healthy fillings?

ThePenguinProject · 12/11/2008 17:35

I like tuna, cottage cheese (really!), baked beans, chilli... Seriously gotta stop this, it's really making me hungry.

bitofadramaqueen · 12/11/2008 18:41

I like chilli on a baked potato - would that count as healthy? I'm sure DH's chilli is a weightwatchers recipe so maybe ok... Not keen on tuna, cottage chees (really??) or baked beans unfortunately.

debinaustria · 12/11/2008 19:46

bdq - you hardly iron - I'm shocked - how life changes when you have a baby eh?

bitofadramaqueen · 12/11/2008 20:12

I know .

Wont be about for next few days, as we're off to London. Will try to be good!

travellingwilbury · 13/11/2008 07:51

Good morning everyone

How we all doing ? I am still feeling pretty motivated and hopeful for another good week . I do have a friend coming down for the w/e though so could be a bit tricky .

Have a great w/e BDQ I love spending time in London , we used to have a great flat in Battersea and it was great fun . All before dcs . Now we are being sensible (ish) in the country .

OP posts:
ErnestTheBavarian · 13/11/2008 08:59

snap - we used to have a flat (and then house in Battersea).

have a good break, dq

I'm feeling de motivated. I can't understand it. Logic tells me 1.7 kilos is great. I guess that miracle isn't going to happen & patience, perseverance, self discipline and self control and plain hard work are what's needed. All my strong points then

Who's got a good motivations sound bite to spur me on then?

APart from maternity jeans have developed a hole, just where you don't want one, so need to get out of them quick sharp

ThePenguinProject · 13/11/2008 22:46

Ernest - No more maternity jeans! If you continue to lose weight at this rate, you'll be at your goal weight of 58 kilos before Christmas!

travellingwilbury · 14/11/2008 06:44

Good morning

Ernest , I loved living there and worked just off Oxford St , it was great fun but I don't think I could have done it with children . Happy days though

I think your motivation is not having to buy more maternity jeans when these ones wear out . If you carry on like this then like PP says you will be down to goal weight in no time .

Hi PP How you getting on ? Are you all better now ?

morning all. feeling more positive today, desite dh, who cancelled coming home (me thus missing my German class) to go out on piss.
9.30 I treat myself to early night
10 ds 1 & 2 running around. Read till 11.
12 ds3 comes into my room at midnight, poorly.
12.30 take him to get medicine & put him into his bed.
1 dh still not home. go to feed dd as i'm up,

  1. 20 dh phones me to say he's on his way
1.45 he staggers in, making loads of noise. The crashes into bed, so after going to bed at 9.30, I finally get to sleep after 2 am double

And now he's gone on my bike to the station, and left it unlocked, cos he didn't notice the bik silver bike lock that's on the handlebars, that I told him was there! Grrr.

But yes, am feeling motivated.

thank you for your words. how are you all doing?

travellingwilbury · 14/11/2008 08:17

That sounds like a long night Ernest .
I hope ds3 is feeling better this morning

I am doing ok I think . I have to get my backside off here and take ds to school then come home and do some serious housework . It is a bit of a tip and I have got a friend coming round after work and another friend staying over tomorrow (which means even the upstairs has got to be done

Hopefully it will burn off some of this lard for me

OP posts:
ErnestTheBavarian · 14/11/2008 08:44

tw, your housework strategy sounds very similar to mine

have fun

debinaustria · 15/11/2008 23:34

I have just made a big tray of chocolate brownies to take to a friends tomorrow. I had to taste one
Question - do I ?
a. take them all ?
b. take half and freeze half?

I know the answer but if I put them right at the back of the freezer they might last until Christmas when we have guests and save me some time.

ErnestTheBavarian · 16/11/2008 14:54

c. send me the recipe and
d. eat the lot and make another batch

debinaustria · 16/11/2008 22:24

Definitely not sending you the recipe Ernest!

I took half and froze half, wonder what they taste like straight from the freezer?

travellingwilbury · 17/11/2008 07:15

Good morning everyone

I have had a very busy w/e . We have had different friends here all w/e . So of course I have drunk too much and ate far too much .
I really need to get back on track this morning .

How is everyone else doing ?

It's my ds3 birthday today - 5 years old. I can't believe it.

So, yesterday we took him out for a birthday meal ( he chose chinese) then had to make him a chocolate cake to take to Kindergarten to share, and a trifle instead of a birthday cake for the family. So I had a chinese meal followed by trifle for tea..... and I'm nearly 1 kilo UP on last week

How does 1 meal and 1 dessert put on 2 weeks worth of weight ffs?

nice trifle tho.

So by Wednesday, unless a miracle happens, I'll be heavier than last Wed.

travellingwilbury · 17/11/2008 07:31

Happy birthday to your ds

My ds will be 5 in Jan , its scary how quickly the time goes . Very jealous about the chinese , my ds is one of the fussiest little blighters ever .

I am too scared to get on the scales this morning , I am going to wait until I have done some damage limitation then risk it on wed .

Happy birthday DS3inAustria.

I had a really bad weekend too. It started with lemon and choc cake on Friday and went downhill from there. Chocs, pizza, biscuits, bread, etc.

Scales don't seem to have registered it yet. But my target this week is to not put on weight.

I seem tohave an all or nothing attitude. I wish I could be more balanced...
