Its really quiet on the weightloss threads at the moment. I've joined a couple of threads but there doesn't seem to be much action on them so I thought I'd start one of my own and see if anyone else is in the same situation.

I'm determined to lose a stone by Xmas and am going to achieve that by basically cutting down on the crap, reducing my evening meal portion, doing some exercise and eating nothing at all after my dinner (I've lost a stone recently but have stayed the same for a good few weeks now)

Maggs- great willpower. Lol at your bill. At least you are doing your bit in making savings with the credit crunch being what it is .

Had a few maltesers yesterday, well cause they were staring at me in the box every time I opened the fridge door.

Also, eat my dinner later than usual, 8pm rather than about 6pm. On the plus side, didn't have potatoes or chips with my steak, just salad. Am very proud of myself.

How has everyone else got on over the weekend?

MrsPuddleduck · 27/10/2008 13:40

Not too bad this weekend, only managed to put 1lb back on so am quite pleased.

Had chicken and salad for lunch so will have a mini dinner again this evening.

Back to soup tomorrow!

JustKeepScreamingInFear · 27/10/2008 13:50

All sounding good & positive on here

I am still slowly losing, yippee!
Being good, Dh bought me 2 biscuits with my cup of tea yesterday and i only ate one, made him put the second one back! unheard of, not sure he really believed me
was below 66kg (65.8) this morning, will have to get on the Wii later, haven't done it for a few days.

Am still allowing myself some chocolate - but normally only 2 or 3 squares at a time, Dh can't cope with that either, lol!

Should we post starting & current weights again?

JKS starting 10st 6lbs current approx 10,5 tbc later!

Tyme · 27/10/2008 16:10

Well done Maggs! Its easy to stick to a diet and enjoy yourself when in the right frame of mind.

Well done everyone else too - its all looking good and positive

Dh has told me that I look like I've lost loads of weight and that my face seems to have slimmed down. Yippee! I'm getting some results. I've been able to wear a top today that was tight 2 weeks ago!

I think I'm going to carry on with this juice during the day and small dinner routine for the rest of the week.

Keep going girls! 1 stone to lose! We can do it!

Have bought a juicer today and will start on Wednesday when I have stocked up with fruit and veg.

Not been too bad today....did have one finger of a Kit-kat.

We managed to eat early tonight so hopefully will do 30 mins on the Wii fit if I can.

Keep going everyone. Think of how gorgeous we will alll look this Christmas

JustKeepScreamingInFear · 27/10/2008 19:45

Boo hiss - still registering as 10,6 on the Wii, so no change so far...

onwards and downwards, lol!

MrsPuddleduck · 28/10/2008 09:09

I think I ate too much yesterday - will try and reduce portion sizes today.

I think I may ressurect my Wii fit today (DG moaned at me the other day for not using it any more - especially as I've just gone out and bought family trainer for Christmas ) To be honest I daren't get on the thing until I've lost some weight as it will be recorded permanently.

Tyme · 28/10/2008 09:14

Try it Maggs - its really good! You'll feel really good and your clothes will start getting loose very quickly. No wonder they're all raving on about it on the other thread.
I can't follow it strictly though ie not have any food at all and it still seems to be working.

8 weeks to go girls. Lets get tough and get slim! Think of those dresses....

Have sent hubby to get the fruit and veg for the first 3 days. He has agreed to try it too as he needs to lose loads.
70 apples!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will give it a go and see.

auntydoris · 28/10/2008 15:22

Hello all. I too am trying to lose a stone before xmas and am loving all your supportive messages and tips. I am just basically trying to eat less and have no biccies or chocolate (my downfall). Done pretty well since Saturday and gone for two runs. But the alcohol levels are up as we've visitors staying. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and I'm with y' all.

colie · 29/10/2008 09:18

Big weigh in this morning. I have lost 3lbs. I am really pleased with this.Would like to lose more but just want to make sure I keep it off this time.
Only another 8lbs to go. Just keep telling myself I don't need to eat lots at night time.

Haven't done any exercise. Kids are off school this week and weather is bad so not really getting the opportunity.
Although could get the skipping rope out and do it inbetween baking cakes (which I am not eating,) and doing jigsaws.

How is everyone else doing?

colie · 29/10/2008 09:21

Maggs-honestly 70 apples. .
Sounds as if you's will be getting your "5 a day".

JustKeepScreamingInFear · 29/10/2008 09:42

Just had a biscuit, day started too early here, need comfort food!

well done you

MaggsS · 29/10/2008 09:51

Well done colie...great news!

That is for 2 of us! Hubby came home with 3 boxes full of stuff.

Will not be starting today. Need to do some practice juices

Going into town with the kids today to get a few halloween bits. Might have a sneaky weigh-in

Will post results later.

Keep going everyone!!!!

MaggsS · 29/10/2008 12:30

Well a bit disapointing as I stayed the same, but I did go out at the weekend so can't be too fed up!

Still 6lb off and 8lb to go to reach that stone

MaggsS · 29/10/2008 14:19

Am I talking to myself today??

Have just tried out my new juicer.

The children tried apple juice and I made a detox juice.Surprisingly it was yummy!!!!

JustKeepScreamingInFear · 29/10/2008 16:08

I'm here!

not doing badly today so far...planning to eat tea with the DCs tonight so i can go to bed really early, fish finger tea so not fabulous but still, early tea is meant to be better for you isn't it?

though it would throw my Wii weight off so prob won't do that tonight.
That stone feels a long way off just yet....

colie · 29/10/2008 20:46

JustKeepScreamingInFear - My day started at 6am today.Surprised I am still up really.

Have had a packet of crisps today and oven chips for tea but just really trying not to eat rubbish in the evening.

Didn't manage the skipping. Not sure my pelvic floor could stand it anyhow. Dh is off tomorrow so might try a quiet walk all by myslef while he deals with kids.

Maggs - apple juice sounds nice. I would probably end up drinking far too much of it though.Well done on not putting any weight on especially when you were out at the weekend.

Going to go now and wrap some xmas presents, not trying to sound smug or anything, but am proud that I have these in so early. I am thinking that if I keep busy in the evenings then there is less chance of thinking about food. . Will tell you if my theory works tomorrow..

Anyhow

whyme2 · 29/10/2008 22:35

Hi,
Just wanted to thank everyone for there support. I've lost 2lb since Friday night when i was down so I'm quite chuffed.
Haven't done loads of walking this week - two sick children and no school but am working on cutting portion sizes and my I can get to the next hole on my belt - hurray.

MaggsS · 30/10/2008 06:49

Morning everyone

Well done Whyme2, that's great news. I admit it is hard with the children home and them always eating!

Went on the Wii fit yesterday for 30 mins and enjoyed it.

I have started jucing with a meal in the evening. It's quite nice really. Also drinking lots of hot water and lemon.

Have a great day all

JustKeepScreamingInFear · 30/10/2008 19:45

Woohoo, reached Wii target, of BMI less than 25 (24.69) and weight of 10,5
Put in new target of 9,7 for 2 months time (roughly Christmas).
It did say it was worried about my health as i reached my target so quickly

So:

JKS starting: 10,6 current 10,5

baby steps, baby steps...

colie · 30/10/2008 21:48

Whyme2 well done on losing 2lb. It is hard as kids need to eat all the time. [hhgrin]. They are so self, self, self.
I also tend to like eating the left overs when feeding them.

JKS- congratulations on your new bmi.

Had an ok day. Took kids for a treat to mcdonalds and had a chicken deli instead of a big mac. Very proud of my healthier choice!!

Also have had awful toothache most of the day and this is curtailing my chewing ability, which has in turn lowered my food intake today. Not sure if losing weight is worth this amount of pain

MaggsS · 01/11/2008 11:33

Things have gone a bit quiet, where are you all???

Lets all keep going !

Think of all those great parties and Christmas fun!!

We are all going to look fab

geordie83 · 01/11/2008 11:52

Well it looks like I'm quite a bit heavier than most of you (19stone 5pounds and 5ft 1). I was totally up for a weight loss challenge but have recently found out I'm pregnant so my new challenge is to try for a no weight gain pregnancy. I think it is going to be really tough so can I join in here and try and get some support?! If nothing else I will make all you 10 and 11 stone people feel really thin! haha.
