Welcome ladies of the Due August 2008 thread. Today is your day to begin REDEFINING your Post-Baby Body.

Please take a moment to STATE your SHORT TERM goal(s) and to STATE your LONG TERM goal(s) for overall health. This may include a weight you would like to reach, a fitness level you would like to attain, or size you would like to fit into.

I ask that you post at least twice a week. First to state what you plan to do during the week to reach your above goal(s). Then an end of the week post to let us know how you faired. BE HONEST! This is a SUPPORT THREAD so if you didn't find time to run a mile, admit it. Maybe someone else did the same and needs a running partner...thus a MEET-UP a might solve the problem. If you went above and beyond your expectations for the week, tell us and be an inspiration.

Now let's get started.

Evenin' All

This weeks targets:

Row 5 mins x 3
row 7mins x 2
water 1.5lt daily (I know I should drink 2 but starting with an amount I might actually achieve)
Walk - 2 miles x 3 day
walk 5 miles x 1 day

And again all laugh heartily at my optimism!

SUNDAY:
crunches 10
pushups 15

BTW...I'll go back at the end of the week and tally things up. I'm just posting daily now to remind myself to do the activity. You see I log in, check my goals, do the activity, then post. Whatever works, right.

Oops your targets look spot on. Why should we be laughing?

Sambo better late than never.

Oh dear I am sorry have not done my results for this week, baptism yesterday and going to homeopath this morning, will post this afternoon.

Can I admit something... I am thinking of getting the Paul McKenna CDs, I Can Make You Thin.

There is a thread on them here. Would you guys think I was bananas? It's about retraining your mind (I know, I know...) - eat when you're hungry, stop eating when you're not hungry, not when you're full, eat slowly, etc. I am a bit despairing, esp after running away from every camera at the baptism yesterday & with brother's wedding coming up in May.

Miamla · 02/02/2009 12:51

VG, but you;'re beautiful so to hear you've been hiding from cameras

hello girls
thought i'd pop on to see what you were up to over here!
i really want to tone my flabby bits but don't really know where to start...
i guess a few crunches would be good...i'll start tomorrow ;)

TwilightSurfer · 02/02/2009 13:58

VG there's nothing crazy about trying something that could change your life. I say go for it. If it's not any good you can always toss it in the bin. Based on the description you gave I think it's worthy of a look. I follow that concept up to the eat slowly part....not really capable of that at the present moment. I'm glad Miamla piped in about your beauty. She has seen you in person.

Miamla we'd love you to join the crew. There's loads of things that can help you tone. I'm here for toning and cardiac conditioning. For me boot camp has been a versital blessing in a 45 minute shot twice a week. I need tummy strengthing so I've added goals of crunches and pushups to help that area. I will forever rave about the transformation pilates does to the body. Sazzles is taking a class. She'll be along shortly to share her experience with classes in the UK. Swimming is also a biggie for the ladies here. Sambo and Sazzles are our resident guppies. Oops has some free standing equipment that includes a rower which is a wonderful activity. And then when No1 is feeling better I'm sure she will be back to doing her pole dancing workout video. See there's LOADS of options and we here at Hot Mamas support them all.

Miamla that's really so kind of you, thank you. I am very camerashy, and my body is just not right at the moment, I know it's not. I don't feel right in it, I cannot get the time I need to exercise properly (apart from walking) unless I get someone to look after ds2 during the day. I am casting round for an answer I suppose...

"I also agree with Miamla, you are a very beautiful person, not only on the outside, but also exuding from the inside with a magic sparkle in your eye. That can't be measured on charts"

Sazzles...what you said about VG, could be said about you too

ooh feel the love ladies! I like this place!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 02/02/2009 22:25

this is an awesome two minute tummy workout!

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 02/02/2009 22:27

remember your core can handle MORE!! most muscles require a day to rest BUT NOT YOUR CORE. you can work it everyday.

sambo303 · 02/02/2009 23:21

ts I too have seen vg and she is beautiful inside and out

vg I'd say try the cd, it's worth a shot. It's awful to feel not right in your body, it affects every moment of the day. Recent studies show that it IS the amount/type of food you eat that affects weight, more than exercise and the cd may be more doable than upping the exercise quota atm

hmm ts jump rope + J boobs =

sambo303 · 02/02/2009 23:21

the J boobs are mine btw
