Welcome ladies of the Due August 2008 thread. Today is your day to begin REDEFINING your Post-Baby Body.

Please take a moment to STATE your SHORT TERM goal(s) and to STATE your LONG TERM goal(s) for overall health. This may include a weight you would like to reach, a fitness level you would like to attain, or size you would like to fit into.

I ask that you post at least twice a week. First to state what you plan to do during the week to reach your above goal(s). Then an end of the week post to let us know how you faired. BE HONEST! This is a SUPPORT THREAD so if you didn't find time to run a mile, admit it. Maybe someone else did the same and needs a running partner...thus a MEET-UP a might solve the problem. If you went above and beyond your expectations for the week, tell us and be an inspiration.

Now let's get started.

I lost another pound this week.
It was impossible to do walking or anything outside due to horrendous rain but I did lots of dancing with DD1 at home and at her music class. I can't get out to do anything formal as DH has two jobs at the moment and so apart from bedtimes and an hour on Saturday mornings I don't have any time when I'm not in charge of the two girls.

It is supposed to be drier next week, so I'm aiming for 2lbs next week. I'm also going to step up on the water drinking.

The swimming sounds great Sazzles.

Sibh · 24/01/2009 13:33

Well, 2 hours on Saturdays but I still have DD2 then so no time for swimming here sadly.

SibhismarriedtoaBurnsscholar · 24/01/2009 20:25

I just came back to marvel at my own self-pity

VintageThistle · 24/01/2009 20:43

Sorry I hope you are not annoyed with me for posting late.

My results

Water - 2 litres per day YES
Swim - x 1 but no distance to speak of
Pilates - nil
Walking - 2 miles x 5 days
Crunches - nil
Press ups - nil
Cross-trainer - 2 x 45 mins per week NO could not get ds off boob to go to gym AGAIN
Tennis - 1
Weight loss - I lost the 2 pounds I put on last week I think it may have been period-related weight.

Impressed with you lot!

okay here goes

walk 4 miles
row - 2x5 mins
no fishie games
I did do some crunches - 40 (10 x 4 days)
And I started drinking more water - 1.5 litres a day - 3 days (bonus from this is my milk supply is up - I know know why DD seemed hungrier when I wasn't drinking enough - I now have Jordanesque boobs after 3 hours is D hasn't fed!)
pushups - none - see above Jordan comment!

TwilightSurfer · 01/02/2009 01:11

Sazzles, is this what you need from me?
TARGETs for the week... (a more reasonable plan)
TwilightSurfer Week Ending 07FEB
Water 2 (per day)
Swimming
Pilates/Yoga
Walk/Run 4
Rowing
Gym 2 (BOOT CAMP)
Crunches 5 per day (35)
PressUps 10 per day (70)
Weightloss

For the record it was the CRUNCHES i was lacking last week not push-ups. I'm doing well with the push ups.

SATURDAY: Completed 10 crunches and 10 pushups(pressups). Water however was a failure...too much shopping.

Oops NICE mental note about more water/bigger boobs. I might need to see if that works for nonBFing. Sadly I went to find a bra today. LADIES they do not make bras for me...unless it's a SPORTS BRA. I just don't have enough to fill even the A cups. That makes me . I was fine till I gave birth. Now everything is all deflated. WTF! That's a cruel twist of nature now isn't it.

Sazzles, I have to admit 42% is really good under the circumstances. That means I almost achieve half before the doctor told me take a rest.

GOOD JOB EVERYONE!!!
