Welcome ladies of the Due August 2008 thread. Today is your day to begin REDEFINING your Post-Baby Body.

Please take a moment to STATE your SHORT TERM goal(s) and to STATE your LONG TERM goal(s) for overall health. This may include a weight you would like to reach, a fitness level you would like to attain, or size you would like to fit into.

I ask that you post at least twice a week. First to state what you plan to do during the week to reach your above goal(s). Then an end of the week post to let us know how you faired. BE HONEST! This is a SUPPORT THREAD so if you didn't find time to run a mile, admit it. Maybe someone else did the same and needs a running partner...thus a MEET-UP a might solve the problem. If you went above and beyond your expectations for the week, tell us and be an inspiration.

Now let's get started.

No1 I dare you to put pics up!!!!!

Sazzles a walk to the shops to get batteries for the scales counts as exercise. Kills two birds with one stone.

lol ts maybe in a few weeks

Sazzles well done you. I have found it hard to motivate today, due to weather.
I am still so of everyone who gets to go swimming.

VintageGardenia · 05/11/2008 08:20

Gosh well done everyone. I fell off the wagon - naturally - had a blue week and didn't go out much which is fatal all round, all fronts.

Better this week, walked couple of miles yesterday and went to aquarobics, to yoga this am (does that count?) and Will Try Harder. I want to swim properly but even managing to get the hour and a half to go to aquarobics once a week is tricky.

Hello Hot Mamas - am pleased and proud to announce that I swam today - 30 mins at our local leisure centre - it has a fab 25M pool. DS was grouchy but the creche ladies took it in their stride.

Took advantage of the scales and I have lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks. May be going too far on the diet thing especially as BF. Said no to chocolate cake yesterday at NCT meet up, regret this now.

I'm thinking of getting a rebounder - mini exercise trampoline. Does anyone have any experience of these? They had one at the post natal exercise class circuit training and I loved it.

VintageGardenia · 06/11/2008 16:16

Six pounds in two weeks? Sambo that is absolutely brilliant. Well done you!

I walked 2.5 miles today, soup for lunch, so feel quite virtuous, but not expecting much of a change since last week tbh.

sambo303 · 06/11/2008 18:08

thanks, feel chuffed but not too chuffed as still got 22 pounds to go

VintageGardenia · 06/11/2008 18:09

Well you have a great head start. Is fab. Am most .

OK guys I did yoga the other day but it was pretty mild! Planning to walk 3 miles today and drink water blah blah blah. What I really want to do is find a way of getting to a class at the gym. They have a creche but the people who work there are about 12. So it's going to mean getting up at the crack of d. or heading out last thing at night.

VintageGardenia · 07/11/2008 09:32

Ooops your gym visit sounds fab! Well done.

Just back from post natal exercise class - gentle aerobics, and I surprised myself by actually enjoying it!! Now just got to get through the weekend without giving in to chocolate/wine temptations

I feel the same Sazzles, I'm doing stuff just so I can report back to the thread!

VintageGardenia · 07/11/2008 17:50

Must admit is very good to have this thread to come back to even if I was shamefully absent for most of one week.

I did about 2.5 miles with pram collecting DS from school, often I drive cos can't take pram on train at rush hour. No other exercise to report today! DS took photo of me with my phone on way home and I actually look pregnant.

I'm not.
