Wow GF - that is brilliant! You do really sound like you're going to get this licked. Good idea to have some clothes to aim to fit into - I find this very motivating as well.

Well as of Saturday I had lost 4 stones - hooray. My tummy still wobbles like a towering jelly so guess I'd better start doing some sit-ups, although I suspect we are with each other for life and I should just learn to love it like an errant child (or please give me some slack here - was woken up at 6:30am by a very grumpy baby )

bran · 13/06/2005 19:32

Congrats Moonshine, that's a hell of a loss, well done.

Yes Champs it did have buttercream, in fact it was very tasty considering I bought it because it looks nice. It's the parcels and streamers cake here . It said "Happy 1st Birthday Branboy"

bran · 13/06/2005 19:35

Bother, it's the personalised celebration cakes Parcels and Streamers on that link.

WideWebWitch · 13/06/2005 20:40

Cor, well done moonshine and glitterfairy, fantastic! I did all last week with no booze and felt better for it but then drank a bottle of wine on Friday night, a bit less on Sat and only 2 small glasses on Sunday. It was all great fun though! I'm back on the wagon now though and have a cold so no appetite. I think I'll wait until Friday to weigh myself. Champs, how pregnant are you now? How are you feeling?

Puff · 13/06/2005 20:50

Glitter - well done on the weight loss so far . So glad GI is working for you.

Moonshine - 4 stones - wow !

The cake sounded yummy bran .

I think I've lost this week, but will find out tomorrow.

champs · 13/06/2005 23:40

OP posts:
Puff · 21/06/2005 17:42

Lost 3 lbs this week .

Puff · 21/06/2005 20:55

Heeeellllpp!

Look, I know I've lost weight over the last couple of weeks, but I'm soooo fed up because I still have a way to go . I can wear size 16's in some shops now, size 18's in others, but I've been plugging away at this for so long, tbh, I just feel like crying that I haven't got there yet.

My Mum's suicide destroyed me for a while and I ate my way through the pain and keeping on plodding on with this is soooo hard sometimes.

WideWebWitch · 21/06/2005 21:06

Puff, you're doing really fantastically well. I don't know what else to say, except I found it very hard to find any motivation too. And it's damn slow progress but I'm getting there and you are too, 3lbs is great.

champs · 21/06/2005 22:10

puff know how you feel hun it can seem like a loooong way but you are doing so well. get something countable like marbles(saw this on tv) and count out how many lbs you've lost so far you'll be amazed. also have you taken measurements? you will be surprised ad how much you've achieved.
you are losing weight consistently and you will get to your goal soon!!

www -- you're doing excellent too!!

OP posts:
Puff · 21/06/2005 22:14

Thank you guys , I'm having a wobble (no pun intended) at the mo!

I think I will do the measurements thing - good idea champs - however I do have to accept that post children I am no longer hourglass shaped - more like barrel lol!

champs · 21/06/2005 22:47

pmsl.
i get like that too so wobble away

OP posts:
moonshine · 23/06/2005 21:55

Puff - hope you are ok now. Just think how much worse you would probably have felt, mentally and physically, in this heat when you were 5+ stones heavier (last summer???). You have come a helluva long way, and you're not that far from the end now!

Puff · 23/06/2005 22:13

Thanks moonshine . Got back to feeling positive today and you're right - weighing 5 stone less in this heat feels much better.

glitterfairy · 25/06/2005 09:43

Thanks guys for all the support. Am now in those jeans I brought a few weeks ago so it was worth buying the smaller size. I have never done that before.

Have joined a new gym as mine went bust and it is deluxe with a big pool so am now swimming as well.

GI diet going really well and not any trouble even when away and I am away a lot at the moment, this week for the whole week.

Puff keep it up and just think althugh the slog is really hard the end result is so worth it. I know the feeling of giving up and then thinking two months on if I had kept going I would now be so much thinner!

Bran how is bran boy? How are you all coping and are you eating up his leftovers?!

Champs hun how are you? Not long to go now if I remember right.

champs · 26/06/2005 00:05

glitterfairy -- fantastic news!! so glad you've found your stride now. Gym sounds plush, swimming will be lovely in this weather.

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 26/06/2005 14:15

Yes, this is a first I have done ten weeks without a break or even feeling like nibbling on chocolate and the gym is mega. TBH if I dont lose the weight I dont care I am carrying on as I feel so much better! How are you in any case champs?

champs · 26/06/2005 21:56

fine thanks glitter, i've got a few things on at the mo and am trying to make sure I stay as stress free as poss.
how are you and the fam?
