Puff, I can so sypathise, because I need a damn good kick up the *rse too. (Almost typed 'kiss' lol!)
Moonshine -
Can your dp/dh give you some time to yourself to go do some exercise.
And ask yourself, is that snacking or not so healthly eating really improving things (apart from that initial rush of satisfaction which is always short-lived - believe me I've been there many a-time).
In a way I think excercise is the key - but how? At the moment I manage - a walk most days, usually carrying dd. One yoga class per week. And that's it, unless you count housework! I think if IO could get my excercise up to better levels, I wouldn't have a problem, but until dd's older I can't see how to do it.
Snacking - argh! I think snacking per se is not a problem. I seem top do best on 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. But I'm slipping back into sugar cravings. And the thing is I know I'll feel crap (both physically and mentally) for doing it, but that doesn't stop me. It's like some kind of addictive behaviour or something. And I don't really know why I do it. Maybe if I understood the cause I coiuld do something about it, but...
sigh I hate fighting with myself the whole time.
And well done on your massive loss, btw.
Just to let you all know, I have been very very bad this week. Not eating properly, then filling up on junk. But have maintained again. One off the things I've discovered is key for me is making time to eat properly, but then life gets on top of me again and it all goes out the window. I think I'm just not organised enough. It gets frustrating because, like Puff, I know it works if I stick to it!!!!!!!
And finally: Bran -
Aww, hope you have a great time on your ds's birthday.
And as for the baby carrying, well ...
If you get a framed backpack, choose one with generous pockets as an integral part of the rucksack design.
The ergo carrier I mentioned (which I have now seen in the flesh and looks fantastic! But I MUST not spend any more money, I do NOT need another sling!) can be bought with a specially designed bag which clips around the carrier straps and holds all your stuff. I tend to use a Mei Tai carrier mostly (the kozy, in my case) and If I have a lot of stuff to carry then I put dd on my front and a rucksack on my back. Otherwise I'll put her on my front, hip or back and take a low slung shoulder bag.
Also remember, the more you carry him, the stronger and fitter you'll get, so soon it won't be such a problem. Though I don't use the stroller much anymore, what I used to do was put a sling in the bottom of the stroller so we could swap when she got restless (using the 'change is as good as a rest' principle).
Anyway, hope you're all doing well.
Maybe I'll be able to report back in a better mood next week.
