I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Just munched on Japanese nutty rice crackers.
Not as bad as biscuits surely? Am I wrong?

Cappuccino · 29/07/2008 17:47

oh okay will measure and keep the results on a password protected spreadsheet

like anyone cares

instead of cake the dds and I hve had a fruit and yogurts smoothie midafternoon

I have n idea if this is better or worse

and I plan a walk tonight after the dds are abed as it has rained so it is not so bleedin hot

dillinger · 29/07/2008 19:51

Omg Sheik you telling me off? Ok I'll try my hardest not to lol

Just went on the cross trainer, been gearing myself up all day - for some reason the whole thing switches off after 5 minutes! So instead of doing the 40mins fatburner like I wanted, I just did 4x5mins only getting as far as the 2nd stage thingy before it gave up. Im - the day dp put it together was the day I found out I was pregnant with dd and so I havent discovered this fault til now and I bet we no longer have a guarantee...

Feel stupid now and so so gutted

Still I suppose if this means I have to run it might do me better. Bloody hell.

Can you send me get-out-of-bed-you-lazy-arse vibes tomorrow at 6am please? Sure as hell I'll need them.

TigerFeet · 29/07/2008 22:05

I have exercised for 10 minutes on my dusty stepper. [expires]

QuintessentialShadows · 29/07/2008 22:15

I mowed a huge lawn. In and around 7 bushy Currant Bushes in an L shape. It took me an hour and a half.

I have to do better. I had no pudding. And restrained myself over dinner.

I will measure.

Well, I had the ILs over last night and we ate Chinese (v bad)

BUT I have started the day with 100 situps and 50 press ups (Girl ones, v good)

onwards and upwards!

(BTW, I know weighin is sat, but I will do mine on sun this week cos have MN meetup on fri night - good food and lots of it (though I will try to be restrained...))

LisaLessLumpy · 30/07/2008 08:08

I only managed 10 mins on my stepper yesterday whilst watching Corrers

Weighed myself this morning as this is the day I started weighing on in Jan.... I have lost one pound, I am chuffed, considering two days ago I was weighing 5 pound heavier just goes to show that you should only weigh once a week at the same time

dillinger · 30/07/2008 08:10

Dp fixed the cross trainer so I'll be back on there later Done me situps this morning.

Have had wholemeal toast with half an avocado for breakfast. Not great if you have it all the time Im told but we hardly ever have avocados anyway!

Time to get on the water now x

Cappuccino · 30/07/2008 09:27

you can't pig out on sushi ffs it's not possible

I HAD A LOVELY WALK LAST NIGHT AND THEN A DINNER FROM (sorry about caps) Jill Dupleix's Lighten Up book which I bought after seeing this recipe in a magazine. Weirdly the recipe isn't in it, but it's still a good book.

Cappuccino · 30/07/2008 09:28

also I want a dh who makes sushi

don't talk to me about walking

"I won't take the car - a healthy walk to work will do me good'

TigerFeet · 30/07/2008 11:47

Cappuccino can I pick your brains?

VictorianSqualor · 30/07/2008 11:59

I really should do this.

I even joined another thread for weightloss but only lasted a week.(I lost 8 lbs though! -water I know, but still 8lbs!)

It's the wine that's the problem, 9 months of no alcohol I've had to make up for you see.

Sheiky, how good are your arse kicks? If I don't post will you see me on another thread and tell me off?

Cappuccino · 30/07/2008 12:07

TigerFeet my best recommendation for you would be this book and this video which are suitable both for those with ME and those who are just tired

Your symptoms don't really present to me like ME, tbh, it is far more debilitating than that. I can get tired without any exercise, out of nowhere. The definition Fiona gives is that with ME, exercise can have exhausting effects which start up to 3 days later, which do not get better with rest.

The book and video are by a lovely lady, I did a yoga retreat with her in June, and they are suitable for all levels of fitness but are aimed specifically at increasing energy levels. Stress can contribute both to fatigue and to the onset of ME, so yoga can help with all of that

hope this helps

Cappuccino · 30/07/2008 12:10

the DVD I'm talking about is the paid-for one, not the free one, btw

Marina · 30/07/2008 12:52

Oooh, thanks, have heard good things of the Optimum Nutrition people
So that's where sheiky went when she decided India and Neris were not for her then!

SheikYerbouti · 30/07/2008 16:36

Am strill doin I&N.

Just badl;y

There are no rules, BUT - 10m mins walking at least (or any other areobic exercise foir the amount of time) we will be doing 15 mind a day next week.

Only weigh once a week. Otherwise the world is your lobster

rofl at "do what Sheiky says" I have gone all Joyce Grenfell on this thread (am normall v laidd back)

Went swimming last night and am off again later. Had chicken salad for lucn, but ruined it by having a bit of cake. It was only a bit though

I AVOIDED TH BOSCUITS AT WORK. This is progress for me.
