I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Well, I'm peeved with my body.

I've been really very sensible the last few days, and active - and I've put weight ON! How does that work? PLus my period has gone AWOL (guessing the 2 things are linked. As in water retention, def not PG!)

But I am going to be reporting a gain tomorrow unless there is a miraculous happening in next 24 hours

PinkButterfly · 15/08/2008 09:22

Hey all

I have been crap again this week (tho did one hour exercise yesterday and day before and feel it in my muscles today). Don't expect to have lost anything at tomorrow's weigh in. Just pray haven't put on again. Think I will do a measurement also.
Praying the kids going back to school next week will get me in a better routine and I will be better able to stick to a programme. Have only 6 weeks until my holiday now so realistically need to lose an average of 2lbs per week to get to my goal. I am normally really good and have great willpower when I get into it but just don't seem to have the required motivation at the moment.
Good luck everyone for tomorrow. PBx

VictorianSqualor · 15/08/2008 09:27

I've been good with the exercise, I watch jeremy kyle whilst on my exercise bike
Also it has handles that you can push back and forth which really work your arms, so I've been doing some of that too, it's bloody hard though. Started doing sit-ups yesterday X50.
It's still wine that's my problem
I didn't drink last night, but only because I was throwing my guts up

PinkButterfly · 15/08/2008 09:43

VS - had one of those machines - sold it on ebay when it became a hanging area for clothes!!! I just have a smaller twister/stepper thing now but mainly do workout dvd's. I can't exercise in the morning though(unless I get up at 5.30am to do it) because I have three kids all under my feet so there is no point trying. I only really manage my exercise when baby down for a precious hours nap (which isn't even guaranteed). Evenings - it can be well after 8pm by the time I get organised enough to do anything and by that time I just want to sit down with a vino!!!! Seriously need to stay off the alcohol - sure I will be much better with this once I do not have my eldest two at home all day - for me stress = the need for a vino or two or three.....

Why were you being sick last night ? Are you ok ?

PB

VictorianSqualor · 15/08/2008 10:00

No idea. DS1 was sick everywhere, just moments before he flooded my bathroom and then about sixish I started feeling really off, and threw up a couple of times, woke up once in the night and was sick too.
Don't feel too bad now and he seems ok so I'm assuming it wasn't anything too serious.
My three 'let me' exercise DS2 has a feed at about 8:30 so by 9:30 he is happy to just sit in his bouncy chair and play for a while, the eldest two have a snack and then play in the garden.

PinkButterfly · 15/08/2008 10:20

Oh sounds luvly VS - maybe just a wee 24hr thing. Glad you are feeling better.

Your DS2 is still just months old isn't he? DD is nearly 14 months and doesn't let me move and DS1 and DS2 fight like cat and dog constantly! Think I may need to go down the 5.30am route for exercise which would be fine if I could actually get a decent night's sleep! hey ho - the joys of children!! PB

scorpio1 · 15/08/2008 13:59

Have still been good, though caved and had a few bits of dh's chips at about 10pm last night but literally about 10. Did another hour on wii fit last night, thats 4 hours exercise this week on wii fit alone...and have been good. Had a small glass of wine last night, but was under 1500 calories still.

Hoping for a loss tomorrow.

G2B · 15/08/2008 14:37

Hi all can I join in? I'm a regular, new name as I get bored easily. How bad is a grilled bacon sandwich on wholemeal bread? It's half 2 and it's the first thing i've eaten today.

VictorianSqualor · 15/08/2008 15:57

The sandwich is fine, not eating breakfast isn't.

You need to have some form of breakfast to start burning calories.

Cappuccino · 15/08/2008 16:01

HEEEELLLPPP MEEEEEEE

HEEELLLLLPPPPP MEEEEEE

I am expanding

oh woe oh woe oh woe

I cannot do it I cannot I do not have it in me

Sputnik · 15/08/2008 16:38

Cap! Yes you can, and you do!
Step away from the food!

If you need any motivational material I have some stuff I can send, just e-mail me at sputnikinspace at gmail dot com

That goes for everyone else too

Jahan · 15/08/2008 17:50

Why is it that not doing something i.e not eating is so darned hard?
It should be so simple.
Not hungry? don't eat
Junk food? don't eat

scorpio1 · 15/08/2008 19:00

have major chocolate craving. already had cornetto today thou

G2B · 15/08/2008 19:10

Gillian Mckeith SLATES chicken kebab but our kebab shop does grilled chicken with peppers and onions, and a salad and pitta bread. Is that really so bad? Dad is treating us to a take away tonight and DP is having pizza... so can I have a grilled chicken kebab? Only had my grilled bacon sarny on brown today and that's it.

VictorianSqualor · 15/08/2008 21:48

Capp, you can do it, either think of a low calorie version of what you want to eat, or add some exercise, you'll be fine.

G2B eat a grilled kebab with salad, just don't eat the pitta bread.

LisaLessLumpy · 15/08/2008 21:50

I have been so shit all week I have stopped writing everything down too which has just made it worse The first exercise I have done all week is an hours walk/jog this evening.

I AM GOING TO BE GOOD ON HOLIDAY THOUGH I go on Sunday for 10 days, I am taking my trainers and joggers and I intend to use them.

I will be all go again when I get back as I really want to get back in my 10 stones by the end of October

I am going to weigh in in the morning and then again in two weeks time and I want to see a loss [determined]

Morning ladies - I see I'm the first on today! Ok, so I have lost 1.5lbs this week. I am obviously happy to have lost anything given that I haven't been good with anything again this week but given that I put on 1lb last week that puts me only .5lb towards goal over the past two weeks which is crap really. So I am now aat total 6lbs lost with 12lbs to go and 6 wks to do it!! Did measure myself also, to give me a bit more motivation because I do feel difference in clothes, and I have lost a total of 7 inches!!

Had a look at the fitday website and it looks good - the whole daily mood thing and journal appeals to me so I am off to set that up with my stats and hopefully that will help too.

Good luck ladies - I will check in later to see how everyone has got on.

PB

Slouchy · 16/08/2008 09:21

Ah, well done PB - all those inches gone and looser clothes

My period finally started this morning so I am going to wait and post my weight tomorrow cos I feel like I am holding onto quite a lot of water. Hope so anyway, or I am gonna have to post a gain.
