I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Well my 20 mins of exercise yesterday must've done something as I felt fairly stiff this morning. I stuck to my resolution though and did some exercise as soon as I got up, and managed 40 minutes or so, though a lot of it was gentle stretching etc.

We also got our frame pool up and running, it's too small for proper swimming but you can float and move around IYSWIM, while having a laugh with DCs, so must be good for something.

SheikYerbouti · 03/08/2008 11:56

Jolly good shiekers

You are all doing really well (even you VictorianSqualor )

Anyway - I got BOLLOCKSED again last night. DP said I had 9 pints of Stella and talked shite to our mates. Then we went to get a burger at 3am and I fell over into a puiddle.

I woke up this morni8ng to find bits of lettuce and chips in the floor

I'm reet classy me.

I feel a bit delicate this morn (not too bad though, considering) so I need 8763287 cups oif tea and some bacon (I have just eaten 4 biscuits - bad start)

Sorry to say I think lobster is something I've never eaten, with or without butter. That was just my pathetic attempt at humour!

Lack of sleep is one of my triggers for overeating.

TigerFeet · 03/08/2008 12:50

Hello

Have lost a pound

'Twould appear that I am in such poor shape that 10 mins a day on my steppy thing was too much for me. I cut it back to 5 and that is working

Will go for 10 in another few days when I have got used to it a bit.

Sheik you pisshead

9 pints of stella? [awe]

Cappucino - thanks so much for the yoga recommendation, I will order the DVD when I get paid. I have emailed you

VictorianSqualor · 03/08/2008 12:53

Yeah, I'm doing great sheiky.
Only two bottles of wine last night and a nice fat bacon sarnie for breakfast

However, I did do 15 minutes on my exercise bike this morning! Go Me!

SheikYerbouti · 03/08/2008 12:56

well done VS I am going to be wii fitting in a bit - when my head stops pounding

15 mins remember now this week

TF, well done on your loss of a pound! May it be the first of many.

9 pints of stella {shock] I'd be dead.

You are obviously made of hard stuff Sheiky.

Glad my typo caused such amusement - it was those crabs I thought of when I noticed it as well, Storm. Am well on way with low CARB thing, but already miss cake. Ah well.

15 mins daily? I'll try!

Hobnobfanatic · 03/08/2008 16:55

Well, I walked for an hour yesterday - but it involved going to and from the pub, where I had steak and chips, followed by a huge cheese board. All washed down with gin, wine and port. Oops.

Good job we're only weighing ourselves on a Sat - I think I've put on half a stone from last night alone...

I too am in utter awe at 9 pints of Stella. i don't think I've had that many units since the night DD was conceived

Slouchy · 04/08/2008 09:03

Well, did 20 mins on wii fit last night (apparently I have put on a pound since last used it -grrr). Really like the boxing game; better than beat-the-crap boxing on wii sport IMO. Then 100 situps and 50 pressups . Going to pilates tonight. LowCRABing going OK even though MIL tried to sabotage it with large mountain of mash when we ate dinner at hers yesterday (I just left most of it).

So...

Hobnob -3lbs
Cappy -1lb
Sheiky -5lbs
PinkButterfly -4lbs
Stormy -2lbs

LisaLessLumpy · 04/08/2008 11:34

I had a hen party this weekend...

Sat night approx 3/4 bottle of white wine during meal where I was pretty restrained, smoked salmon for starter with lemon and olive oil could have done without the oil.. Main Course - chicken breast in white wine and tomatoes with a side salad, NO PUDDING! a black coffee Halo then went back to the Hen's house and had two pieces of cake that I had made her, a fair few crisps and god knows how much champers

Had 2 hours sleep then spent the day at a Spa which was fab. I was full of good intentions to exercise but felt far too hungover and exhausted so just relaxed ALL DAY No breakfast - couldn't face it.

Lunch was a 3 course meal and I had

small bowl minestrone soup and two small rolls and butter (my one weakness)
Pork chop with cabbage, roast potatoes done in marmite [yummy] and roasted carrots and parsnips (quite oily)
Strawberry and vanilla custard tart (I left the pastry)

Got home 8pm, had a dozen chips from DH's dinner that I picked up on way back then went to bed at 8.30pm

So it could have been alot worse, fingers crossed still for a loss this week if I do loads of exercise. I'm going to change my weigh in day to saturday too, at least then I have a whole week to rectify a saturday night which is the only day I tend to ruin the weeks work

scorpio1 · 04/08/2008 11:38

Can i join in? I don't know how much i weigh. I had a baby (my 3rd) 15 weeks ago and my tummy just won't shift the last bits.

My diet really needs to change and i don't do any structured exercise. Im a size 10 at the moment and want to get back into my 8's, and loose the tummy. I am exc BF though so will be being careful with my dieting.

Today is the first day - 2 cups of coffee and a bowl (25g) of cereal with milk. so far

My weakness will be chocolate (have it every day normally) and take-aways. DH is a thai-boxer and is in fight traiing at the moment so he is joining me....and is oging to help me do an exercise thing - skipping, sit-ups etc.

Any hints/tips?

Sputnik · 04/08/2008 13:28

Scorpio, I had a baby 13 months ao and my tummy won't shift the last bits!
of your size 10.
Anyhow, you need to be wary of conventional abs exercises til your muscles have gone back to normal, I have found the Tupler technique helpful, basically you sit upright, suck your tummy in then pull it in further with little pulses, 100 of them. Do this 5 times a day initially, working up to 10. I have been doing this for a while (when I remember ), and it does seem to make a difference, whereas the 1 hour abs workouts I was doing before didn't seem to. Any other exercise you do, plus getting out of bed etc, remember to keep your stomach muscles tight. Google for more info.

I managed 30 minutes or so exercise today, non cardio though as just too hot. Plus last night [roll of drums] I did no after dinner snacking! First time in months

SheikYerbouti · 04/08/2008 13:33

I was bad yesterday due to hangover, but have been good so far today.

I have a bit of work to do then I shall be wii fitting this afternoon and I ahave loads of farking housework to do.
