babyjjbaby · 05/09/2008 17:55

haha wish me luck attempting to make slimming world chips if they don't come out right i will never do them again lol

3andnomore · 05/09/2008 17:58

I did mix2match for one week and put on that week...so...not gonna do that again

andyrobo237 · 05/09/2008 20:14

I did mix 2 max one week and lost loads (well for me!)

SWlurker - maybe we need a stocker chart and when we have eaten right for each meal and snacks - so there would be 5 or 6 stickers say per day, then every week you could add up how good you are and then try to better it the next week - it is supposed to work for kids, so why not us big kids? Especially if the food police are involved (ie any kids you have!!). My DD is great at grassing me up to her dad!

Had a good day again today - weighed this morning and now only need to lose a min of 4lbs by 15th Sept! That is acheivable - yes???

3andnomore · 05/09/2008 20:33

andy...that is totally achievable

andyrobo237 · 05/09/2008 21:59

3andnomore - I really hope so! Just have to get though this weekend and I should be ok! Had a small tea tonight - loads of free stuff!

kid · 07/09/2008 14:24

I am now back on SW, I am on week 2 and will be following it at home, for the 20,000 time!

My first week was a success, I lost 4lb. Not managed to actually fit any exercise into my daily routine but I have made the effort of walking instead of getting the bus so I am thinking that counts for my exercise for mow.

My favourite meal of all time is couscous (cooked in vegetable stock) with a tin of vegetable curry (6 sins) Its so delicious and the tin does 2 meals so its only 3 sins per meal.

Also the Alpen light bars (2= 1 B choice) so I have stocked up on them.
I really do hope I stick to it this time. I always start and stop it but I have reached an all time high weight so I have to do something before it gets to the point of no return. I have approx 2 stone to lose but I shall tackle one stone at a time.

Furball · 07/09/2008 15:10

write it all down kid - get a food diary every week, even if the leader doesn't need to see them anymore. I find they really help to keep you in line as you can see exactly whats what and oops did I really eat that this morning? I better not have another one.

Good Luck

kid · 07/09/2008 18:25

thanks
Sundays are the hardest day for me to stick to it but I have managed today. I will snack on fruit for the rest of tonight if I am hungry or some carrots or something as I know they are free.
I think I need to update my books as my ones are at least 7 years old.

It is good to write it down as I almost slipped up earlier by having an extra B choice. But I realised I had already had my two before I ate anything else.

3andnomore · 08/09/2008 11:56

yeah, writing food intake down really helps, doesn't it

Kid, if your books are very old...maybe you could join a local group, attend once or twice and well...at least you get the books out of it
Certainly has changed a bit...I did SW the first time in 2003 and it has changed since then

melbob · 08/09/2008 22:52

food diary online if member is very helpful

SWlurker · 09/09/2008 09:46

Hi All

So Kid and Toadette are re-starting too, have I got that right? Good to feel the companionship

I have moved my re-starting back a day as I had a training course on monday, but from now on 100% no cheating whatsoever.

I have had fruit and fibre for breakfast (need to check quantities, I hope a 45g mini-box is only 1 HEb but I think it might be 2) and a tiny splash of milk, I will go out at lunch and buy a measuring jug and a set of kitchen scales, as I seem to have neither to check my healthy extra quantities. Got a tin of spaghetti hoops and a bag of apples for if I get hungry, and pasta, 1 1/2 syns of pesto and Quark all mixed together for lunch.

Have a healthy day everybody

Oh, and has anyone got the latest password?

Thank you!

won't find out until tomorrow...so, for me it's still gammon

Nemoandthefishes · 09/09/2008 10:07

I have had a complete week off although in my defence I havent been well at all and have a bad chest infection so any cooking/planning has pretty much been down to dh who cooks by using a phone
Weigh in is tomorrow and I know will have put on a ton of weight..yikes..thats if I am well enough to make it as currently getting up the stairs is hard..its also ds first day in reception tomorrow and he isnt well at all today either

3andnomore · 09/09/2008 10:14

awww nemo, sorry you have been unwell...
and hope your ds will be well enough to start school....my ys has started last Thursday in reception...so far he likes it!

toadette · 09/09/2008 11:33

Hope you're feeling better soon, Nemo.

SWlurker, I tried to start last week but didn't stick to it 100% so I'm going to use today as my NEW official starting day. Good to have company with you and kid starting back on plan.

Might set myself a mini-goal of losing at least 2lbs by next Tuesday to keep me motivated. Anyone else up for a mini-goal or challenge?

SWlurker · 09/09/2008 11:57

I saw some photos of myself today from our work do on Friday - the black dress was quite flattering but I really hate those bingo wings - think I will print that piccy out and pin it up somewhere discrete along with my food diary/sticker chart (snigger - I love that idea!!) for motivation.

I'm up for a mini-target of 2lbs by next tuesday

OP posts:
3andnomore · 09/09/2008 13:02

well...I weigh in tomorrow....so, on Wednesdays....but I am up for then trying to lose 2 Ibs by the following Wednesday

babyjjbaby · 09/09/2008 13:03

if u haven't got ur slimming world book can u still go to class but not ur regular one

Tommy · 09/09/2008 13:26

right - first "official" weigh in after summer holidays and I have lost 3lbs and put on 4.

So I am definitely back on the wagon as of now - have had very good SW breakfast and lunch and have planned rest of the weeks meals

I want to aim for 1-2lbs a week until I lose another stone

kid · 09/09/2008 17:30

Yes thats right SWlurker, I restarted a week ago on Saturday.

I am finding that I have really bad pains in my stomach after a day at work. They settle once I get home and sit down with a cup of tea, shame I don't get time for that before I leave work.
Any advice for that? I was thinking that maybe I should drink more water as I don't drink much at all. I usually have 2 or 3 cups of tea a day and thats it.

I've been doing 40 minute walk (20 minutes twice a day) and that seems to have stuck for my routine now instead of jumping on the bus most days.

babyjjbaby · 09/09/2008 19:38
