raw salmon or fresh

nappyaddict · 29/08/2008 21:37

tinned

3andnomore · 29/08/2008 21:43

mm, did you make sure that you squeezed all the brines/water out....

nappyaddict · 29/08/2008 21:45

it didn't come in any brine/water

3andnomore · 29/08/2008 21:50

huh...what was it in....

3andnomore · 29/08/2008 21:51

but, just realised I asked raw or fresh...lol...obviously meant tinned or fresh

nappyaddict · 29/08/2008 21:56

it wasn't in anything.

Nemoandthefishes · 29/08/2008 22:06

andyrobo I quite like our class there are about 20 or so people who stay and consultant has only been doing it about 5mths so still quite eager etc. She does go around everyone and talk about gains and loses but also talks a lot about body magic and getting everyone to bandy around ideas about worst times and what can do to stop them seeming so bad..like late night pickers etc.

3andnomore · 29/08/2008 22:06

never come across tins like that...sorry...

andyrobo237 · 30/08/2008 21:27

nappyaddict - do you think the fish cakes may have had too much egg in them? Was the mixture too sloppy when forming into cakes? When I do burgers I put them in the fridge for half an hour in cling film before cooking and that seems to help them keep their shape.

nappyaddict · 31/08/2008 00:22

It did say you could put them in the fridge and use as required. Maybe that was it. I only used 1 egg.

3andnomore · 31/08/2008 00:28

well, my thinking was, that maybe the salmon was to wet....but if it wasn't...could it have been that the carrots were to wet?

nappyaddict · 31/08/2008 00:33

possibly - i did drain them but do they absorb water that might have come out when i mashed them?

babyjjbaby · 31/08/2008 09:17

thats it i have ruined it lol had burger and chips at the fair last night and i get weighed 2morrow

Hello ladies,

Can I join in? I have been on slimming world for 4 weeks now, but previously was on the Cambridge diet. I was doing so well and have managed to lose just over 2 stone since july the 1st, but I just found out I am PG and as I am a rather large lady, I am hoping SW will still be a good option for me. I never felt more heathy, and I don't have a problem with it, since eating NOTHING for 3 weeks to then going on slimming world, it seems such a treat this time around. Just hope I can at least stay the same or even lose. I am not going to try, but I think if I keep the the old "only eat when i am hungry" and "stop when I am full" and eat more free foods I should be ok. I hope. I am dreading the GP's cuz i know they are going to freak and tell me not to gain weight, like they did last time I was PG. Don't know what it is ...everytime I make plans and lose weight I get PG....hahaha.

I can see you are all doing so well...good for you all and I hope everyone get to the goals they are longing to reach.

babyjjbaby · 31/08/2008 10:04

congratulations jennji i have heard slimming world is great for not putting on to much weight when pregnant at least u know u will be doing the best u can

3andnomore · 31/08/2008 10:04

baby, I am sure you will be fine! But good luck anyway....

Jen, welcome in our ranks and congrats on your pg Maybe you could return a page or so, because pgwithno3 had a few questions about the SW plan in pg, as she does it on her own rather than wiht a class and a consultant at her hands

andyrobo237 · 31/08/2008 22:20

Right - got my books out and refreshed myself of the rules! Been online and checked the syns for the three cooking sauces I have in the cupboard - they seem ok - jsut need to get my head into gear for the morning to start - but planning McDonalds for lunch - prob have a happy meal as their salads are rank!

melbob · 31/08/2008 22:55

Help

I can't believe how much I am eating

I am on an original day and have had 200g slimming world chips do they count as healthy b or syns?

fakeblonde · 31/08/2008 23:22

Just come back from hols and need to shift about 20 lbs !
My dh wants to join in althoughh he only needs to lose about 6 !.
Id love to give and receive some support on here as there is no way ill make the meetings x

3andnomore · 31/08/2008 23:39

good question mel, no idea...because they are parboild then baked and in their skin...right....you probably could get away with counting as HE....

andy....how many syns would a happy meal have?

fake, the more the merrier....

melbob · 01/09/2008 00:16

We bake them with no parboiling so can't see how they are different to baked/boiled potatoes.

welcome Fake

hi everyone- it's getting proper busy on here now, good to see so many people.
Interesting comments about going to group - I remember going in the past and thinking it was so boring. I don't think it's changed much now but for some reason I am so grateful to have an hour out of the house to myself that I always stay lol.
I do think it's helping me stick to it though, and I'm planning on keeping going once I get to target as it's such hard work losing it I can't bear the thought of putting it all back on again.

3andnomore · 01/09/2008 10:37

heavy, that is wy I stay...also, the people are lovely and I can have an adult conversation in real life....
and the consultant is also lovely...but like I said, it would be nice to have more proper Image therapy, iykwim.

sticktoit · 01/09/2008 14:56
