have never been able to 'do' this before? am just eating better , but still having 'normal' meals, not following any plan, just cut out choc and going steady on takeaways(and i had a chinese on friday!)
so am very, very

marj · 07/02/2005 09:57

Well done EM!
It amazes me how much good food I can eat and still lose weight. It just goes to show how much rubbish I had been eating before!

Evesmama · 07/02/2005 10:01

ta marj

will have to 'do better' this week though as totm coming up and munchies and retention will hit

Fennel · 07/02/2005 10:22

is this whole thread in sync with totm?
(or maybe even the whole of mumsnet in a spooky sisterly way

me too, so feeling bloated.

Evesmama · 07/02/2005 10:23

they do say thats freinds and woman who live together generally have similar totm

Fennel · 07/02/2005 10:24

then we are definitely all spending too much time on mumsnet.

Evesmama · 07/02/2005 10:27

i could have told you that
am meant to be ironing to go to play group, have yet to bath, brush hair and teeth and put some war paint on

MadameButterfly · 07/02/2005 10:32

Sorry, I forgot to email you my results this week.

I have lost 2lbs which makes a total of 4lbs since starting WW

Evesmama · 07/02/2005 10:34

well done mb

am literally dragging myself away from computer now to get ready
see yall later

monkeygirl · 07/02/2005 10:45

Well done EM and MB! And good luck to everyone else.

I'm a Monday morning weigher and lost 3lbs this week - well makes up for my 2lbs on the week before.

Is everyone going to have pancakes tomorrow then?? I don't think my resistance to lemon, sugar and nutella {drool emoticon} would be high so I think I'm just going to have to say no!

Sadly I will find Valentine's Day no trouble, unless my dh is replaced by a Stepford hubby who is going to leave a lovely box of truffles on my pillow and then whisk me off for an intimate dinner for two overlooking the river and then present me with a diamond eternity ring......well I can dream....

Evesmama · 07/02/2005 15:28

im with you there mg unfortunatly, will probably even have to remind dd that its valentines day then ill get the age old..waste of money blah blah...rip off..blah, blah...miserable gits aint they!

well done on you 3lb off

pinksofa · 07/02/2005 16:06

well done all you monday weighers with your losses, i am struggling a bit today any pearls of wisdom to help me find my resolve again?

coppertop · 07/02/2005 19:02

Chinese food, pancakes..... This thread is making me feel hungry!

I had an almost embarrassing moment on Friday, thanks to mumsnet mamas. I was late fetching ds1 from school so had to run. Almost too late I realised that my once-tight trousers were now on the verge of falling down! Eeek!

Demented · 07/02/2005 19:56

That's a nice problem to have CT.

Thanks to MN Mamas I am back in the 'thin jeans' , had overindulged the whole of December to the point that they were too tight, although I could get them buttoned sitting down was an issue and the tyre flapping over the top was disgusting.

miam · 07/02/2005 22:05

Well done you skinnymalink Demented! Are you going to disappear again from mnmamas now that you are super-slim again? Anyway, got weighed tonight and I have lost another 2 and a half pounds so got my half-stone sticker. Wahey!! Really did not think I had lost anything so am very pleased. Well done EM, MB and MG!!!!

monkeygirl · 07/02/2005 22:18

Well done Miam - must be something in the water last week.

Pinksofa - my resolve was helped today cos it was almost Spring-like which got me thinking to how I would have to stop hiding behind my coat soon as warmer days are not that far away now. Yikes. I also now have a very unflattering (very) fat picture of myself to remind me of what I really look like (have been good at avoiding mirrors for a while). Or can you set yourself a target of a half stone/stone (sorry, don't know how much you are hoping to lose) with a treat if you reach it? I saw a good tip today which said put away £1 (or whatever you can afford) for each pound you lose and buy yourself a (non-food) treat every so often with it.

pinksofa · 08/02/2005 08:57

monkey girl need to loose 2 stone (i think)as 5,5 and think ideal weight around 10 stone, yeah you are right about spring that is a good idea and i have a got a big family event to go to in april so could aim for that - not having overeating days as such not dieting days ifyswim - thanks for the suggestion

got the day off today so going to spend the day with ds and go for a long walk hopefully this will help too

miam · 08/02/2005 09:11

Off to a flying start this morning - literally. Went for a jog (3 mile round trip) and am now feeling very virtuous, but have a very very red face. Is there any cure for that? Am at home all day today, and it is raining so am going to spend the day doing frantic housework in a bid to lose a few inches. I have been given a calorie allowance of 1,350 which is not a huge amount, so I also need to sit down at some point and work out how many wines I can incorporate into that!! Have a good day everyone. x

Evesmama · 08/02/2005 09:59

well done miam, thats a brill loss
and well done on the excersizing too
you're really going for it arnt you

marj · 08/02/2005 10:08

Well done Miam! That RC diet really seems to be working for you, I am impressed.
I wish I had your motivation to exercise. I wouldnt make it 300 metres never mind 3 miles - well done you!

Demented · 08/02/2005 10:28

Wow miam you must be the amazing disappearing woman! Well done!!! (How did Artyalex get on?)

As for leaving MN Mamas, I won't be doing that for a long time, I am still not back down to what I was in late September, TBH things went a bit downhill from then. I really like SW but the weightloss hasn't exactly been steady, lose one week, gain the next etc, maybe still just getting to grips with it, although I love the volume of food you can consume.

miam · 08/02/2005 12:03

Thanks everyone - couldn't do it without you all . Evesmama, it is weird but I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that I am going to do it this time. The exercising definately motivates me too.

Demented, glad you are still going to be here for a bit longer (for purely selfish reasons - would miss you if you were not around). You got down to your goal last time - you will do it again. Artyalex couldn't make it last night as she has the flu. I had dd2 yest for her so she could spend the day in bed. She still sounds pretty bad today, poor her. I'm over it now thank goodness - probably me who gave her it (generous to a fault).

Demented · 08/02/2005 13:43

My target is lower this time! So may be with you all a while yet.

Sorry to hear about Artyalex hope she is feeling better soon and also hope that being ill doesn't demotivate her.

The whole exercise thing is fantastic isn't it? It makes a huge difference.
