Hi Welcome to everyone! We are increasing in numbers! GO GIRLS!!

Whitebeaches: those little cheese things are lovely, not sure how many points/calories are in them though. They are like individual portions in a little wrapper that looks like a miniature jar of marmite and they are called marmite cheddar or something like that. I will check when I go down to kitchen. I bought them in sainsbury's i think they were with the other kids individual cheese portions etc

Snack 4 pm.
1/2 pitta bread with low sug jam
muller light yoghurt and fruit

dinner:
I had paella again with a salad;
a whole freash pineapple. Heaven knows how many cals/points in one of those but it was lovely and i just kept on going! Felt rather full at the time but I'm starving again now. I'm thinking that I still need to cut down more on some of the carbs/portion sizes!!!Let that be the goal.

charlotte121 if I had cornettos in the freezer i would eat them all! (sometimes i just go mad!) you did good to stop at 2

koshka how are you? what is your goal?

goldryder I am craving chocolate big time!!!

tooBIG · 11/07/2008 08:27

Morning ladies, hope everyone had a good night. HAve taken to snacking on ice pops as then at least I feel like I'm eating something but am really just filling myself up with water and a whole lot of artificial sweetners! Did some tae bo last night. No buggy fit classes locally but have a friend who does it and she had a major case of pram envy the first time she went along!

LisaLessLumpy · 11/07/2008 08:43

Can I join please?

I was on another weight loss thread since Jan, but it has dried up a bit and I need some more motivation

I have two boys, 3 yrs and 9 months. I am 5ft 3. When I started in Jan I was 13st 1lb, I am now 11st 3lb so I have done great so far, I just want to initially get down to 10st 7lb, ideally by Sept but the last 6 weeks have been a struggle so if I could do it by the time ds2 turns one on 5th Oct I will be very happy Also have a holiday mid August and my belly is still a problem especially since ds2 was a c-section.

I will continue to weigh myself on a wed though if thats ok, I find then that if I have a crap weekend I can try and claw it back by wed weigh-in

Right will go back and try and catch up on some posts

fifisworld · 11/07/2008 08:59

ww really does work - the times I did it anyway. I think I may have to go back to it myself - my problem is the portion sizes I think, I eat fairly healthily but think am overdoing it on the mansize portions. Plus the somewhat over-liberal use of wine and G&T's now am not preggers

Have had cereal and cuppa so far today. And no snacks yet.

iamamummy · 11/07/2008 10:05

hi ladies

lisalesslumpy - wow! welldone on your weightloss, any tips for us?!

twinkle - i LOVE paella, do you make it yourself? f so can i be cheeky and ask for the recipe

i checked out the buggyfit website and my nearest one is a 20 min drive which kind of defeats the object really

last night i had jacket potato, chicken, salad and prawn coleslaw. all was well until i shared pudding with dp -

weighed myself today just to see - i have lost a pound so far but.....its the weekend so i will probably have put on half a stone by monday!

next week i am going to do the egg and grapefruit diet to get this weight loss kick started!

OP posts:
iamamummy · 11/07/2008 10:08

ellie - crossed with you. welcome am with you on the alcohol front. i was t-total throughout pregnancy and for about a month after the birth, then dp goes and builds a bloody bar in our conservatory and im not talking about a little one either - its better than most pubs! so you can imagine the alcohol consumption now

OP posts:
EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:12

And when counting cals I would far rather eat bugger all and be able to drink a few glasses of wine too....does that make me an alcoholic? Probably. Hey ho. Am going to be full of willpower now though. Honest.

lol ellie - i love a glass of wine in the evening when ds is in bed to wind down. although i have started having spritzers. makes me feel a bit better anyhow

OP posts:
suey2 · 11/07/2008 10:25

ellie, i am SO with you on that.
My real problem is portion control. DH is naturally skinny and eats a huge amount and therefore so do I.
ww online worked really well for me before;- but i tend to find that a diet works only once for me- slimming world was the same. I think it is the boredom second time around.
I am going to start off trying not to eat between meals and just allow myself one naughty a day. weekends are definitely the problem and i just cannot have chocolate in the house otherwise i eat it- usually at one sitting

EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:36

I know what you mean about the diet boredom thing. Trouble is I LOVE food. And cooking. And eating as a social activity. So to not eat is hard. Having said that, DP is being very healthy at moment cos he's just had an almost heart attack and been told his cholesterol is very high, so is easier than usual at moment.

whitebeachesandcoconutoil · 11/07/2008 11:30

lol at us all regarding alcohol- i am exactly the same i have to have my glass of wine in the evening
well i have just done 10 minutes of running up and down the stairs much to my lo's amusement and i feel like i am going to die
mental picture for you all was running up and down the stairs but had my arms across my boobs to stop them bouncing and lo was copying me but he also put his arms across his chest -bless him.
btw i love paella too

LisaLessLumpy · 11/07/2008 11:43

iamamummy - just eating less and doing more exercise is the trick, easier said than done though, I live to eat not eat to live

suey2 · 11/07/2008 11:47

absolutely- love cooking, love eating. DH does not have a sweet tooth and i really love baking. Bummer.

suey2 · 11/07/2008 11:50

lisa my problem is that the more exercise i do (and i do a lot) the hungrier i get. I am the only person i know who puts on weight whilst training for a marathon! I know it's muscle, but i wanted some of the fat to go! I was 12 stone for my last one.
No the only way for me is diet.

LisaLessLumpy · 11/07/2008 12:16

suey2 - exactly the same here. As soon as any occasion arises that requires cake, I'm straight in the kitchen, I can then bake to my hearts content, but can get rid of it all to other people to save me the calories

LisaLessLumpy · 11/07/2008 12:19

suey - but did you lose valuable inches? I bet you looked nowhere near 12 stone. Whenever I tell people how much I weigh, they are always surprised so i must carry it quite well. How tall are you? I'm 5ft 3 and so according to the charts I am obese, but I can comfortably wear a 14 so am not overly bothered.
