kiltycoldbum · 09/07/2008 20:32

hiya all
i have sneakily snacked on all my dds sweeties, one here one there, ooo she'll never know
didnt make lasagne, made meatballs instead and they were yum!
thats all so far, whitebeaches has mentioned wine, so im off to get some!

twinklelittlestar · 09/07/2008 21:08

Hi all. Had paella for dinner and salad and muller light with fruit. No snacking this eve although I feel like it and determined not too.

Whitebeaches evenings are my worst time for snacking too. I am also member of weightwatchers online. How are you finding it? Are you following points plan? How many points do you have a day? I must admit although am member have not been using that much although it was useful to find out how many points i was supposed to have for a day while breastfeeding etc 25 is my amount. I'm really not doing it at the mo though just trying to do healthy eating generally without counting calories too much.

just gotta get through next few hours without snacking

fifisworld · 09/07/2008 21:14

Ok so today ive had no snacks at all
Went to dads for tea, walked there which is about a mile uphill pushing the buggyy..refused pudding then walked back and done 30 mins aerobics on the wii fit

fifisworld · 09/07/2008 21:15

oops buggy

toodlepips · 09/07/2008 21:34

Can i join up.. i'm a tad late... ?
ds has now reached 6months, and anything i may have lost by way of bf, i've more than made up for with cake and biscuits...
i need to lose 2 stone to be happy with what i look like. deep breath!

twinklelittlestar · 09/07/2008 22:20

Hi fifisworld congrats on no snacks and refusing pudding. i know how hard it is! but hopefully worth it when we get results. i am tempted at the mo but not gonna go there. how do you find the wii fit? what type exercise do you do on it? do you think it's worth investing in one?

tooBIG · 10/07/2008 05:28

Yes, what's the wii fit like? Do you think you will keep using it long term or will the novelty wear off? Am i right in thinking it's based on your bmi? Do you need to have scales or are they built into it?

No snacks yesterday, and managed to cut down on my carbs (a bit), yay!

twinklelittlestar · 10/07/2008 08:38

good morning! welcome toodlepips.ikwym i am sure I would be much heavier if i wasn't bfeeding the amount i have eaten over last 18 months. good luck x

another successful night of no snacking. i am going for it! [determined face]

cool tooBIG for yest! btw getting up early or in the night with dd always makes me more hungry

off for breakfast. hope you all have good healthy eatin day

twinklelittlestar · 10/07/2008 08:39

hello iamamummy how are you?

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 08:40

I would like to join but I haven't actually had the baby yet

I can see this might hold me back slightly

whitebeachesandcoconutoil · 10/07/2008 09:06

good morning all!
well for breakfast i have had a quarter of honeydew melon and 1 medium banana and a cup of tea.
twinklelittlestar i say i am doing ww -but i am not a member somebody on this topic did my points and also gave a link which was helpful-i have also surfed the net and found various points 'helpers'.
i am on 21-23 points but have just been doing 21-so far though i don't feel like i have missed out.
i even managed to have 4 points left over last night
tbh i am just happy because i find i am eating more than i did before i think as mums we just grab what we can when we can.
anyway hope we all have good healthy eating days.
iamamummy when did we say we were gonna do weigh in?

iamamummy · 10/07/2008 12:04

morning girls!!

you have been a chatty lot! welcome toodlepips

well yesterday was ok...

apple, home made chicken curry and boiled rice 1 glass of white wine and soda and 2 toasted be good to yourself hot cross buns and just drinking lots of water in between meals

today so far i have had the 2 left over hot cross buns BUT i am walking into town in a bit so will burn them off

whitebeaches - weigh ins on monday cos then you will have to think twice about bingeing over weekend (or i will)

fifi - how do you find the wii fit? might have to look into that. thought abiut getting an exercise bike but they are just 5 minute wonders then end up in the garden shed after a week.

i really want to go swimming not just to keep fit but for ds too but i am so paranoid about my stretchmarks EVERYWHERE! what makes it worse is all the lifeguards are hunks at my pool

anyway happy healthy eating girls x

The wii fit is good, i only really do cardio on it. So last night i done a 15 minute run a 10 minute step, and 10 minute hula hoop. Bought a rowing machine but only used it once

twinklelittlestar · 10/07/2008 13:55

Hi yeah great thanks for doing that iamamummy. How do we adjust it:? I would like to add my weight last monday was 9 stone 4.

looks like you had a good day yest too ...the be good to yourself hotcross buns are lovely they're reasonable on cals too...

so far today:
I had 50g sultana bran breakfast, clementine;

Hi whitebeaches: you've had a light lunch. I had:

lunch: sweet potato soup, slice of wholemeal bread, reduced fat marg; one of those little kids marmite cheeses, muller light yog + raspberries and blue berries' small but of
banana oh and a slice of ham! (i got hungry . i think it's still in my remit though (points wise).

whitebeachesandcoconutoil · 10/07/2008 14:30

twinleliitlstar what are kids marmite cheese triangle -i love cheese and i love marmite so pray tell what they be?

Koshka · 10/07/2008 14:53

bloody hell im an elephant compared to you ladies!

Have had nothing to eat as i really should be in bed as i worked last night.
Had some bad news at work so not too sure how well diet is going to go TBH!

I had at work-

Cottage cheese and cucumber on rice cakes
Cous cous with cucumber and pepper.

tooBIG · 10/07/2008 16:02

Sorry you've had bad news Koshka, hope everything is going ok.

Can I put down my waist and hip measurements for me to compare instead of weight as I don't have any scales:
waist 31.5, Hip: 42. Four inch loss from each would be great.

Fifisworld: how do you do a run on a wii fit? I take it it's not a case of just being abole to sit there and shake the controller up and down!!

iamamummy · 10/07/2008 16:52

girls just copy and paste to alter anything you are not happy with!

toobig i shall be joining you with the measurements as soon as i find a shop that sells a tape measure - why am i having trouble buying one for god sake?!

i have found in the past when i dieted that sometimes i would not lose weight but id lose several inches in a week.

just had the hot cross buns today so far oh and 1 of ds baby yogurts mmmmm

jacket potato with chicken and coleslaw for dinner tonight with a side salad.

afternoon ladies

still pregnant with #2 so feel like a baby elephant

shameless promotion but just wanted to mention Buggyfit - I run classes locally, outdoor exercise class for mums with their babies in the buggies. There are lots of classes around the country, it's not expensive, it's a really good way to meet lots of people, you don't have to put your baby in a creche and it'll definitely help get you fit and lose some inches!

all instructors are highly qualified and insured and most have babies, so understand first hand what life is REALLY like with a small baby and how hard it can feel to find time to get anything done, never mind get fit....

www.buggyfit.co.uk

iamamummy · 10/07/2008 17:22

hatcam - thanks for that id never heard of buggyfit til the other day, will look into it!

kishka - sorry about the bad news, hope your ok?

OP posts:
fifisworld · 10/07/2008 18:31

Toobig - you run on the spot with the remote in your hand.
You can do aerobics, yoga, muscle exercises, balance games. You do a body test everyday which weighs you and checks your bmi
