The thing that is wrong there is restrictive low calorie diet. If, after you lose the weight, you go back to eating like you did before, then you will put the weight back on.
That happens with any diet, if you start over eating again you will obviously gain weight. It doesn’t matter how you lose weight, if you don’t carry on long term of course you will regain.
I think there needs to be a whole change on our approach to food. We should be looking at what our bodies need to be healthy rather than just focusing on the aesthetic of being slim.
I use WLI for my health, not to be ‘slim’. I don’t use them because I’m stupid either, I use them because they help me stick to a proper balanced diet. The idea that people who use WLI don’t understand nutrition is mad, lots of us will have a bigger insight than most ‘average’ weight people. Not being able to lose and maintain weight doesn’t mean we don’t k ow what to do, it’s far more complex than that. WLI have supported me to eat the healthy diet I always knew I needed.
There are issues with using weight loss drugs long term that people should be aware of as it can impact future health (pancreatitis, gallbladder issues, kidney stones, loss of muscle as well as fat).
You are aware my risks from being morbidly o see were far more serious than any of these you have listed?
