How about losing one stone by Christmas 🌲

There are 14 weeks until Christmas. I’m thinking just one pound a week would crack a stone off and make a big difference.

One pound a week is doable and not too much pressure.

I am starting today, my plan is to stop being so bloody greedy and stop the mindless all day long scoffing.

Weigh in every Sunday.

Am off to dust off the scales and weigh myself, I will report back !

Would love some company.

I'm on holiday. Walking for hours (at a slow pace) most of the day but eating like an unsupervised toddler. Just visited the tiny gym in the hotel and did 10 minutes elliptical and 20 minutes run for the endorphins.

Attempts to not gain heyooge amounts are more likely to be met than lose or maintain weight.

Still, here on holiday for the memories not the weight loss. Etc etc.

I want to do it, I really do but I'm just not in the headspace. I also don't want to wait until I eventually get the ADHD medicated but gaaaaahhhhh

I had fallen off the thread and the weight loss wagon. But I'm back and feeling determined to get to 12 stone something before Christmas. I weighed in at 13.13 this morning. I'm disappointed that I didn't get my head in gear 4 weeks ago but it's better late than never.

I'm 10st 7lb today. 1lb down in the last week. I still haven't got my diet properly sorted but I'm doing OK with exercise. I'd love to be under 10 and a half stone next week.

I could have written this! I'm going to take the pressure off in terms of thinking about a whole stone and just focus on doing one positive thing per day, like 'today, I'm going to keep out of the biscuit tin'

I’ve weighed again this morning and a whole kg less than Friday.

I have stopped trying to pretend understanding weight loss and scales; I’m on Cerazette and haven’t had a period in 17 years so it’s not even that.

1kg is also not really in line with my calorie deficit - hey-ho, I’ll happily take it.

Office on Wednesday and we have ā€œsnack timeā€ in the afternoon, as well as breakfast stuff out in the morning, so it’s dangerous! At the end of the month I’m abroad in Austria for five days, even more dangerous. Last time I went it was 33C so salads were my go-to each night, this time I’m sure I’ll much prefer their hearty cookery (yum, veal schnitzel….).

That sounds like a good strategy. This might sound stupid, but maybe a visual ā€œreward chartā€ is helpful, I got a wooden heart from The Works, put numbers on (up to 140) and put a heart sticker on each say I met my goal. I have since stopped, but found this motivating in the beginning!

@Silverblue1985 agree the scales can be a mystery and the (hopefully downwards) line on my weight tracker is chaotic. I’m still waiting for a whoosh - more likely to happen this week as calorie deficit is up.

I think that is indeed the way I'm going to have to do it. So today I'm committing to not having sugar in my second coffee today.

Never served with chips, always potato salad (no mayo). The Schnitzel are massive though, I always go for small and absolutely dread to think what a ā€œnormalā€ portion is like! Weather permitting I will probably go hiking around Vienna at the weekend though, so should be OK!

Weigh day again! It comes around so so quickly though doesn’t it? I’ve actually lost 4 more pounds again this week (but it’s a bluff as I’m under stress at work and haven’t been eating much).

So my stats are
SW: 12st 12
CW: 12st 5
Total lost: 7 pounds

I’d still love to be 11st 3 by Christmas Day but feel like that might be pushing it.

I didn’t go to the office as caught a bad cold.

Ended up having a takeaway on Wednesday, chicken shish with rice and no sauce, as it was the only thing I fancied. My last takeaway was in September on holiday and the one before in early July so it’s a rare treat these days. Though I couldn’t taste a thing.

I’ve had an ok week but I just did my little pre weekend weigh in and I’m up 1lb so clearly not as good a week as I thought!
