I’ve finally come to the end of the road with being a fatty. I’ve had enough of being a size 20/22 and I’m finally going to actually do something it once and for all!

I plan on starting tomorrow without fail..

i will weigh myself in the morning but I’m roughly 17 stone! Which at 5.4 is massive… I’m fed up
of feeling shit and tired insecure unhappy and embarrassed by my size I avoid most social situations.. I want to be fit healthy and be able to run around walk up hills and play with my small children without feeling like I’m dying after 2 mins of running…

I know it’s going to be a long hard slog and there will be slip ups along the way no doubt but I’m determined to do it this time.

im going to use this as a journal kinder thing and something I can look back on.. I will weigh myself every Monday and update.. if anyone wants to join feel free and if no one does at least I can read back haha..

my plan is low carb and calorie count having about 1400 calories a day roughly.. While also trying to get 10k steps in a day which might be a challenge as I’m so unfit…

Well I had a cheeky look and weighed myself today and not to be smug or anything ;) but I’ve lost 4 lbs since Monday :) woohoo!! must be the heat and me doing more walking, no where near as much as @Cazs818but more than I normally do.. hoping to lose another 2 by Mondays weigh in.. hope everyone else is doing well.. and not dying of the heat to much.. I got to admit I don’t love the heat but I’m coping better than normal as soon as I get home I tend to
strip
off and let myself die for 10 mins just to
cool
down lol. I need to get a hose fitted so I can hose myself down after a walk bliss x

I cant make sense of my body. Still no period but im back done 1kg. Its just a yoyoing act at this point. Hopefully im back down to 88kg by next week and then see how we go from there.

@Miraclemuma03 I’m around the same weight and keep losing and gaining the same 1kg - and then all of a sudden I lose 1kg and it stays off - quite bizzare -

Its really weird bcos for the last 6 months I cant pass the 88kg mark and keep ballooning back up at 90kg before a period but i have to work it off again which is hard and doesnt want to come off and no sooner do I get it off I am due for a period again and I balloon back out. I havnt quite worked out the trick to keep it off

I’m definitely a summer baby eat better and my mood lifts and generally more active , winter my diet is out the window and I turn in to full hibernation mode

So it’s had its effect on my gut! Oops… 😬 well better to get rid I guess.. today I shall be drinking plenty of water and having my huel drinks and that’s it I want to compensate for yesterday.. if I get desperate a chicken salad to. Hope everyone’s sleeping well in this heat I’m dying for some cooler weather I’ll admit. X

Well I’m sad to report I’ve gained after my 2 days of treatment days (was meant to be just one but I slipped up ) :( so I’m back to 17.5lbs again!!! Feel shit about it as really want to get into the 16s fed up of being in the 17s… but least no more birthdays until October now so I can give it a good go now. Hope everyone did better than me please update for inspiration I need it today as after eating all that I feel yuck, I need healthy foods so back on it. X

I’ve messed up to , was a mixture of two birthdays and date night out put on 2.5LB

disappointing weigh in but only have myself self to blame , no more birthdays till July 🤞🏻 I can get back on track

Aw @Cazs818i hear you girl, but at least you have still lost and ain’t back to
where you were.. it is disappointing but if we put our minds to it this time next week we can be a couple of lbs down again and feeling better. We can do it. The journey to slenderness and health will always have ups and downs. X

Happy birthday @Tibby2024 and don't worry too much about your weight bouncing around - I know it's annoying but weight loss isn't linear, we need to look at the big picture and weight loss over time

(I'm such a hypocrite though 😅as I am exactly the same when I see a gain, which I know I will at some point - it's so hard, isn't it!)

Everyone is doing a great job. Im down another 500gms. I havnt been watching what I eat very well but have kept to the around 1400 to 1500 calories so the weight won't really come off for me. However im thinking of cancelling my weight watches bcos Im not really sticking to it any more and I didn't really lose weight like it said I would and I am losing interest in it and sort of sick of logging everything. Just feel like I need a break after 18months of weight loss journey and actually getting know where. Thinking of having a break and then go back to using MFP ango from there

It’s my problem I know but it was hard to resist and not be peed off! Happy now that I have done. How’s everyone else doing today? I will have a coffee before bed and that will be me done today.

@Tibby2024 Joining your thread if that’s ok! I want to lose 2 stone but be happy with just one to start with as it will be more than I’ve managed in a long time. So tempted to try weight loss drugs but really want to give it a go myself first because I am 100% the type of person who will just put it all back ok when I stop and I can’t afford to stay on them forever.

I’ve set myself 1800 calories to start with as I want to start gently and I also exercise a fair amount but I’m not going to count the exercise calories.

Its really hard isnt it seeing other eat treats. In my household my husband is trying To gain weight, he struggles with this. He can eat 10,000 calories a day and still not gain 1kg by the end of the week. We have been together for 14yrs and in that time he has gained 3kg and maintained that 3kg. I on the other hand in 14yrs have gained 30kg and cant get it off hahah he has done all the tests in the world and just turns out his supper power is his metabolism lol its super efficient and he has 3% body fat so there is that while im over here struggling with perimenopaus and more rolls then a bakery shop haha

I would kill to be able to eat and eat and not put on an once, I love food it’s my best pleasure I love to eat, must drive you crazy seeing your husband eating tons and still not gaining and here we are eating naff all and maybe losing a lb a week lol.. I feel for you. I really hate food noise mine comes on from about 6 pm onwards really bad so I’m trying to eat not much in day and have most of my calories in the evening just so I’ve got something nice to have and look forward to when the kids are in bed.. so far today I’ve had a coffee 1 tiny lil kids biscuit and some ham slices.. I’m wanting to have my proper calories in early evening. I don’t eat past 9pm though. Can enjoy more and stops me craving snacks with tv etc. but doesn’t always work as sometimes it to hungry to wait.. 1400 doesn’t really get you that much I find.. maybe I just miss the feeling of being so stuffed you can’t move haha. Now I’m satisfied but never stuffed.

Yeah it is a bit frustrating but for him he wants my weight , he reckons he would love to take my 30kg and bulk it into pure muscle hahahah. For me my weight didnt come from eating, when I was pregnant I was taking a lot of medications and some of those medications had weight gain being their main side effects, while I was pregnant I did my best to exercise and eat well without actually starving myself but at every doctors visits Id gained more and more and by the time I was 6 months pp and could start weaning off of the meds it was too late, I had already gained 30kg and the weeks after birth I jumped straight into perimenopaus and now im here and struggling with weight issues iv never had before and changes to my body iv never been through before and sorry of dont know how to fix any of it. While my husband complains of being too skinny hahah

That must be tough @Miraclemuma03 I think that must be even more annoying as you haven’t gorged to get where you are, shit! I hope you find a way to lose weight even a lb a week will be a fair bit in a few months.. got look at the bigger picture. I’m not wanting to resort to weight loss medication yet I’m wanting to do this myself , plus moneys tight, I will give myself until January and if I haven’t lost a fair healthy amount by my own will
power then maybe I might have to as otherwise I’m going to have health problems:( but I’m determined to do this myself. Just need to get the first stone off then I think I will feel more motivated and like I’m on my way.. just want to be out the 17s. Anyway so far so good today :) x
