MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 18/01/2005 18:14

It's my first weigh-in tomorrow and I'm dreading it. It always takes me a week or so to get into pattern. Something about going on a diet that makes me crave food. Was feeling really good today as I fed the DTs eggy bread and ate scrambled eggs myself. Then I realized that DT1 hadn't eaten most of hers and so by the time I'd thought about it I'd eaten half. Plus the fact that I went to a party on Saturday. I could've just eaten the prawns on cucumber, but the cranberry and mozzarella parcels kept calling me and wouldn't leave me alone until I had eaten 4. Oh the shame....

Ah well

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 18/01/2005 18:15

not sure what to do with your carrots, but I also want Yorkie's salmon

What about carrot and potato rosti - grate the carrot and potato, squeeze out the water from the potato, mix the two together in a bowl then shape into flat circles on a lightly greased baking tray, stick them in the oven for 20 mins.

WigWamBam · 18/01/2005 18:25

But what's the difference between a baked potato in its skin, and a grated one?

help me

I have lost the will

I am starving today and can't stop eating ..its healthy stuff but I've severly broken the Slimming World rules .. not enough food in house (on a meat day) too much bread

last week I put on 2lbs despite being on the diet without breaking it .. I have massive water retention (I think my periods are trying to come back as am cutting down bf drastically)

I have no will left ....

BethAndHerBrood · 18/01/2005 18:29

Potato and carrot rostis for brekkie then!!

BethAndHerBrood · 18/01/2005 18:32

Don't give up twiglett! One bad day doesn't mean the end of the world. Try to get back on track tomorrow, and have a day that suits what you've got in (says the woman with nothing but carrots!!)

Just put it behind you, Twiglett, and get back on the diet again tomorrow.

Twiglett · 18/01/2005 18:54

can I have the rest of the night off then?

am finally feeling full up (after 2 more pieces of bread with cottage cheese, a can of tuna in brine and an apple .. see told you I was eating good stuff) ..oh and a packet of prawn cocktail crisps

I need to start writing everything down again

Twiglett · 18/01/2005 18:56

am guessing on HE and weighing

guessing on milk in coffee being 1a choice and measuring an ounce of cheese

weighing bread when its 800g loaves

do you think that's ok? or should I measure everythign

(I normally only have 10 syns a day TBH)

TBH i don't bother weighing anything. I eat loads of free stuff on both days, and for my he and syns i eat stuff that is already in portions. Like 2 weetabix,3slices of nimble bread,5triangles of cheese spread, Etc. I know that i am too lazy to weigh stuff all the time, so find other things to eat.

bottle · 18/01/2005 19:39

hang in there twiglett

michmash · 18/01/2005 20:03

Twiglett, don't give in or you'll hate yourself tomorrow but if you stick at it you'll look back and be proud that you stuck at it. Just ride it out.

Yorkie good for you for chopping up the Evans card. Every time that I've gone in there and they've offered me one I've said "no" because I've intended it to be my last visit in that shop. Now I intend never to return and just stick at the diet instead. I hate my wardrobe, it's sooooo bland. I'm determined to get into some fashionable clothes for summer.

michmash · 18/01/2005 20:08

Yorkie, have sent you my wieght loos, only 1 pound
