Hi
I can't keep on putting down my extra stone to baby flab as youngest dd now 2!
Managed to lose weight without too much hassle after 1st 2 dd's but for some yukky reason I just can't seem to shift that last stone after dd3!
Desperately need to lose a stone by 14th June as am going to big posh 60th - I already have the outfit to wear but it's way too tight at the mo.

Is there any-one else out there who would like to chat for support when it gets tough? I'm not really going to follow any specific diet but any tips gratefully received. My main problem is white wine - it just slips down so easily & one glass is never enough! I then get the mega munchies!

Weighed myself this morning (couldn't face doing it on Monday as had been far too lax over the weekend) and have lost another 2lbs - yay!

Bank holiday weekend wreaked havoc on the diet but now back on track. Musn't fall into usual trap of getting complacent after losing the first few pounds ...

Dalrymps · 28/05/2008 11:14

weighed myself again today and have lost the lb i'd put back on so weight loss currently at 5lb, must stop snacking and try and get past the 5lb mark!

ontheup · 28/05/2008 14:23

ontheup · 28/05/2008 14:25

Dalrymps · 28/05/2008 23:27

Thanks, yeah, just having problem keeping up the will power... was a family birthday today (fils) and I ate rhubarb crumble and custard and sponge cake AND I had a mcdonalds for tea BAD BAD BAD. I feel sick!
Tomorrow is a new day, tomorrow is a new day, I will be thin - keep chanting.

SpinningEm · 29/05/2008 10:29

Wow you guys are doing well! Am losing motivation instead of pounds!
Have just done internet shop for ingredients for Carol Vorderman's 14 day summer detox. Have lost nearly 7lbs on this before and just hope can do same again!

P.s am OP - changed my name!!

Dalrymps · 29/05/2008 10:41

SpinningEm - good luck with the detox, i'm gonna take a look at the gmtv bikini diet but don't know if I have the strength to follow it!

Needamassage · 29/05/2008 17:59

Am on second day of 3 day "WOMAN" magazine detox.

Hardly any carbs, lots of salad, smoothies etc. but have cheated a couple of times with biscuits as felt SO hungry.

Supposed to be apples only for last tomorrow . Not sure how that will go...

Tried miso soup for the first time today - don't bother.....!

But, feel a bit slimmer and less bloated due to less carbs no doubt.

Was 9st 12 on tues so will be interesting to see what weight loss will be.

Keep going everyone! Keep a mental image of how much slimmer you want to look by 14th June!

ontheup · 29/05/2008 18:47

After falling into my bag of chocolates yesterday have so far been good today - diet prawn sarnie for b'fast (travelling) and a trout salad for lunch with a banana just now to keep me going til supper - scales say I have put ON a kilo - that can't be right can it? The chocs weren't that heavy!! Am desparately chanting eli...

ontheup · 29/05/2008 18:50

Sorry I meant dalrymps

wessexgirl · 29/05/2008 18:50

Two weeks to go; still hanging in there - your scales must be wrong, ontheup . Have dc been tampering with them?

Dalrymps · 29/05/2008 21:38

Managed a long walk to town and back today, also managed to not eat any bad snacks . Will try to keep it up tomorrow.

LolaLadybird · 29/05/2008 22:16

Bad, bad, bad day today ... and currently sitting here with cup of tea and thorntons yummy caramel shortbread thingies so clearly not feeling that penitent!

However, in my defence m'lord, had the night from hell with DD last night (ended up sleeping in my bed for the first time since she was a tiny baby)and then hall and kitchen flooded this evening as a result of flash-flood downpours - all while DH is away on business. So I'm feeling like a little comfort eating may be justified ....

wannaBe · 30/05/2008 09:32

bad, bad, bad week.

I've lost 5 lb so far to date. However on Sunday night we went to London for x factor audition on Monday, went for a curry etc, did audition and had caesar sandwich from m&s on way home - as was tucking in dh said "you'd better savour that, it contains 700 calories!" . then mil been visiting for past two days, she brought me chocolate caromel sweets, eating schedule was screwed as I felt it only good manners to eat with her/dh instead of eating with ds, and yesterday she took us out to lunch! I told her that if I'd regained all the weight I was going to hold her personally responsible.

However although the diet went out the window this week I have maintained the exercise, so when I got on the scales this morning I was relieved to discover I haven't regained any of the weight I'd lost. so that's consollation at least..

SpinningEm · 30/05/2008 10:06

wow wannabe how did your audition go?
Am feeling really low at mo cos binged last night at a bbq. Also really bad period this month isn't really helping.
Must start being more focused.

Dalrymps · 30/05/2008 11:18

thought i'd done well yesterday until i gave in and had a Baileys before bed, then dh, not realising I had poured a Baileys opened me a can of lager so as I didn't want to waste it I drank both . Won't be doing that again as the headache wasn't good this morning!

Dalrymps · 30/05/2008 11:22

Also, just looked at the gmtv bikini diet recipes and don't think i'll bother, too many alfalfa seeds (sp?) and flax oil for my liking, need to do a cheap food shop this week and if I do that diet i'll probably spend loads on things I don't usually buy!
Gonna use it as inspiration though, for instance if it says to eat a salad i'll make my own up and where it says to have porrigde for breakfast or museli with yogurt I can do that!

Needamassage · 30/05/2008 19:14

Hi!

Just reporting back on my "apples only" 3rd detox day.

I think unless you can take to your bed or just veg out all day it's not worth it. Too difficult when you have children and need some energy so unfortunately I fell face first into the biscuit tin .

Feeling gutted but I did do a really good workout and am going to just have some salad tonight.

Will report back with any weight loss[fingers crossed emoticon] on tues.

Good luck over the weekend everyone!

p.s Agree Dalrymps about flax oil-damn expensive-but I have found ground flax meal in Holland and Barrett which you can add to salad, muesli etc. Think it does same thing, is supposed to help with weight loss.

ontheup · 30/05/2008 19:16

OK day today - I didnt eat sweeties when DS was havig his afternoon nap (bad habit) so am feeling a bit more hopeful - scales showed me back at where I thought I was today so obviously just having a funny turn the day before Am ttc at the mo too so its a bit strange - on the one hand I want to look skinny for my SIL's wedding in July but on the other I would give quite a lot to currently be the size of a house!!!! Here's to a virtous weekend (yeah, right )

bluebellwood · 01/06/2008 11:49

Still 11st 10lbs - PLATEAU - damn! Disappointed because I feel that I've been good.

wessexgirl · 01/06/2008 11:52

at M&S Caesar sandwich having 700 cals!

Not been too bad the last few days - it's been warm so I've quite fancied salads (and got really into beetroot). Hard to resist ice-cream when the dds are having one though .

Dh wants fish&chips for tea tonight as well. 12 days till my holiday - I'd rather wait till then if I'm going to blow it big style.

Needamassage · 01/06/2008 19:36

TOTAL pig out today. Started well but had a full roast with roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese, apple pie and custard.

Have also had four custard creams and two chocolate cup cakes.

Am going to have a work out now to try and undo some of the damage (wail!)

Dalrymps · 01/06/2008 21:53

I have been a pig today also, but on purpose. I planned sunday as my 'treat day' to try and stop me eating crap through the week. Have to say though, haven't been that bad, probably cause now i'm allowing myself the bad food i'm not as obsessed with the fact I can't have it and so am not bothered.
I had special k for breakfast - good, wholemeal pitta with homous and lettuce for dinner - good, then a chicken, cheese and bacon burger and chips from the chip shop, ice cream wafer, chocolate eclair and am now drinking lager and am about to eat a galaxy caramel and a packet of peanut m&m's and maybe some crisps.
Back to it tomorrow

LolaLadybird · 02/06/2008 09:26

Been a bad few days but what with flooding, DD teething and waking up a lot and DS' night feeds and all while DH is away (typically!) I've just let the whole diet thing go. So quite relieved to get on the scales this morning and discover my weight has stayed the same.

Back to it this morning with a bowl of muesli (oh joy!) .

Needamassage · 03/06/2008 22:38

Weigh in today at SW. Have put on a pound. Am totally gutted and upset. Was convinced I had lost as I have exercised a lot and have been much better than normal.

Was told at SW not to worry as weight loss will probably show up next week. Not sure how that works...

Am trying not to get too down and will get back on track tomorrow after a biscuit binge today. Feeling a bit PMTish so trying not to be too down on myself.
