Hi
I can't keep on putting down my extra stone to baby flab as youngest dd now 2!
Managed to lose weight without too much hassle after 1st 2 dd's but for some yukky reason I just can't seem to shift that last stone after dd3!
Desperately need to lose a stone by 14th June as am going to big posh 60th - I already have the outfit to wear but it's way too tight at the mo.

Is there any-one else out there who would like to chat for support when it gets tough? I'm not really going to follow any specific diet but any tips gratefully received. My main problem is white wine - it just slips down so easily & one glass is never enough! I then get the mega munchies!

Good for you Wessexgirl - afraid I did give in to 2 glasses of wine in front of it - however am managing to be pretty good on the food front. Just spent day with good mate who is worried as she's completely gone off food & the weight is just dropping off her - not fair is it?

Weighed myself today, it said 11st 13lb, was 12st 3lb, so lost 4lb but have no idea how cause i've eaten far too many naughty things, maybe it's all the walking i've been doing? Well, it's given me some encouragement and i'm determined to push on!

emmabemmasmom · 15/05/2008 16:54

Ok so woke this morning with a sickness

I had two cold hotdogs on my dizzy, half awake walk back from the bathroom to the bedroom and I am now nursing a Lemsip in hopes I feel better soon. Lucky my dh is off work today to keep dd busy and away from me (not that I don't love her lol but don't want to get her sick)Just wish he knew how to cook.

Feeling a bit ick so should eat something but not sure what.

Maybe this is Gods way of making up for yesterdays sins.

Keep it up everyone!

quarkee · 15/05/2008 18:47

Have walked about 4 miles today so that will hopefully cancel out the (small) piece of caramel shortbread I had at lunchtime but I did resist the latte and just had a normal coffee so hopefully ok. Rest of the day OK so far...Off to do my Wi Fit again - it has a step programme on it so you can do a virtual step class...will stop harping on about it in a while.

Good news re treadmill wannabe it sounds like you have a whole gym in your garage now!

Hope you feel better tomorrwo emma

Going well so far - dinner at a friends last night but she is also trying to be healthy so we had salmon, new potatoes, veggies and hollandaise sauce. She'd even bought a WW desert for pudding, bless her.

Clothes feeling a bit looser already and feeling really motivated at the mo - I know it's early days but I think I had just reached that point where I felt enough was enough on the fat-front!

Hope everyone else is still feeling positive - brace yourselves, the dreaded weekend looms!!

Jo10Go · 16/05/2008 10:08

LLbird glad you still feeling so motivated - am also feeling it as well and know what you mean by saying enough was enough!
I've got friends coming round tonight and had already planned a fairly unhealthyish menu before deciding to do this so I shall have to make sure I restrict my portions!

Had a rubbish day yesterday, no brekkie, Sausage & Mash at pub for lunch and a fab then had banana for dinner.

Have company conference today which is a free bar, I'm not even going to pretend I can resist that, just eat really well today and have booked class at gym tomorrow!

LolaLadybird · 16/05/2008 18:37

Company conferences are all about excess - enjoy the free bar, Missing, and don't even waste time feeling guilty!!

wannaBe · 16/05/2008 18:49

well, I have sinned, albeit just a little. Had usual branflakes for breakfast, followed by 60 stomach crunches/10 mins on rower/15 mins on the cross trainer mid morning. had sandwich for lunch and red snapper with new potatoes for tea. but...

also had a few squares of dairy milk. it was only about 4 though, and given I have been so good all week i do think i deserved a treat.

Think I will have a break from exercise tomorrow. Have exercised every day since Sunday so think a break is called for?

Jo10Go · 18/05/2008 18:22

Hi how's all your weekends been?
I've had that horrid sickness bug & so haven't really felt like food but still managed to scoff too many nibbles at friends christening!
Here's to a fresh good week for us all from tomorrow!

Had been doing really well, then fell off the wagon on Friday - took dds to the park and had lunch there - fishcakes and chips, oops!

Then had too many glasses of wine in the evening, so had hangover munchies on Saturday, bah!

Been very good today - didn't have an icecream when dds had one and just had a healthy spring veg soup for dinner.

No more wine till next Friday, and back on the exercise machine tonight. Focus, focus, focus!

Hope you're feeling better Jo10Go - you never know, you might have lost weight .

Dalrymps · 18/05/2008 22:46

decided sunday is 'treat day' so once a week I can give in to all my cravings. Although this week i've slipped up quite a few times in that department. I had toast and marmalade for breakfast, gregs pizza and chocolate muffin for dinner andchip butties with chips from the chip shop for tea. On the positive side I went for a very long walk, somewhere between 6 and 8 miles , very tired now but figure it must have burnt some of those calories off. Somehow, despite eating lots of bad things lately, ladt time I weighed myself I had lost 5lb, not sure if i've already said that? Anyway, tomorrow is a new day

LolaLadybird · 19/05/2008 07:55

Anyone weighed in yet today? I've lost 3lbs this week. Would have liked it to be more but I definitely slacked off over the weekend as I was out to lunch and dinner on Saturday and also met a friend for a few glasses of wine - think you have to be able to be treat yourself a bit at the weekend or the diet would never last.

Back on the straight and narrow this morning with muesli, fruit and yoghurt ...

wannaBe · 19/05/2008 07:58

have lost 3 lb this week. Also would have liked it to be more but had a couple of treats over the weekend. Agree though that you have to allow some treats or it's all too easy to lose motivation.

Back off to the pool this morning.

Dalrymps · 19/05/2008 09:56

Still at 5lb for me, just checked this morning. Back to the diet, benefit flakes and a cup of tea for breakfast. Just drinking sparkling water through the day. Not sure what i'm having for lunch yet...

mistlethrush · 19/05/2008 15:50

Managed a stone in 5 weeks - had hoped for 4 weeks, but felt crap last week due to allergy reaction, so not feeling too bad that it took a tiny bit longer. Not doing too bad sticking to it most of the time - do you find that dc's mealtimes are worst - temptation to 'help out' or finish up has to be fought hard!

bluebellwood · 19/05/2008 17:41

Starting weight(1 week ago) 12st

Weight today 11st 10lbs

4lbs down - really pleased!

Often get complacent after a good first week so need to stay focussed now.

quarkee · 19/05/2008 18:55

Hi ladies - back from 4 days by the sea side so translate that into lots of pub lunches and evenings out - oh dear. MIL came with us and looked after DS while we went out in the evening so we had wine too - double oh dear. Will get on the scales tomorrow and start again. We did have a fab time though

Jo10Go · 19/05/2008 19:01

Well done every-one - I lost 5lbs but think most of that was cos of sickie bug over weekend - had pretty good day so far. We will stay focused!

Another slip up yesterday in the form of a packet of peanut M&M's and a dairy milk caramel. I really need to get some will power from somewhere! Have been walking and doing sit up's though so not al bad.

mistlethrush · 20/05/2008 09:27

Jo its peculiar when you think - 'fantastic, I'm ill and don't feel like eating' isn't it!

quarkee · 20/05/2008 09:45

Well I got on the scales and have lost 0.8kg thats just under 2lbs which considering the eating I have been doing this weekend is pretty good

Watched 'Half tonne Dad' last night (was on last week we recorded it) about the worlds heaviest teenager and a guy who weighed 74 stone - unbelievable and so sad when you saw how imprisoned they were (mentally and literally) I am now even more fired up now...

wannaBe · 20/05/2008 10:16

74 stone! . I didn't watch it but a friend of mine did and said that apparently he ate something like 30000 calories a day .

I am awaiting delivery of my treadmill today although will prob have to wait till the weekend for dh to set it up as think it's prob going to be too heavy so he'll need my dad to come and help him lift it.

Trying not to think about the m&s extra chocolatey minni bites sitting on the side in the kitchen. mmm

quarkee · 20/05/2008 10:18

30000 it was - unbelievable.....

mistlethrush · 20/05/2008 10:51

Someone's birthday in office so cakes etc. Luckily, also some fruit. And cakes are chocolate which I'm allergic to, so people will just have to leave me some fruit!
