Hi
I can't keep on putting down my extra stone to baby flab as youngest dd now 2!
Managed to lose weight without too much hassle after 1st 2 dd's but for some yukky reason I just can't seem to shift that last stone after dd3!
Desperately need to lose a stone by 14th June as am going to big posh 60th - I already have the outfit to wear but it's way too tight at the mo.

Is there any-one else out there who would like to chat for support when it gets tough? I'm not really going to follow any specific diet but any tips gratefully received. My main problem is white wine - it just slips down so easily & one glass is never enough! I then get the mega munchies!

So that's day one nearly over! I came so close to giving in earlier as oldest dd had mega strop & refused to go to Brownies when her lift came - was just about to reach for glass of wine but thought NO I will not let her wind me up like this! Also has it's been so hot today the thought of me having virtually no summer clothes to fit into has spurred me on!

Hi all

So I have been watching and reading this all day long trying to work up the courage to post.

Earlier I read as I ate my left over enchiladas from last nights dinner.

Then I came back on and read some more as I ate some Twix (some = 2)

Now I am currently writting as I drink a large pint glass of chocolate milk...then it hit me. As I remembered all that I ate...why do I wonder why I don't loose the weight?

I weighed 13.5 stone about a month ago and I am now just under 12st. I would love to be back at 10st (pre-pregnancy). But how?

My biggest thing is being home all day with DD. I tend to snack all day just out of bordom.

Hopefully, with going back to work soon I will be to busy to think of food, however...I love food and in a perfect world I would eat all my favs and maintain the perfect weight.

Perfect world anyone? I think not So...time to dig out the self control and join you ladies in the fight for slimness and healthiness!

Just hope I have the will power...we shall see

PS: you all sound as if you are doing great! Keep it up!

Jo10Go · 12/05/2008 21:16

Welcome emmabemmasmom! You're right - self control is so what it's all about. I'm actually feeling very positive about this now that there's such a good support team on board!
Good luck to us all

Hi :0

Thanks! Yeah...self control...So where do I get that? lol

wannaBe · 12/05/2008 21:36

well it's been a good day.

For breakfast I had bran flakes with milk. Dropped ds at school then came back and went into my garage, did weights, a bit of rowing and 15 mins on the cross trainer. Then had a marmite sandwich for lunch. And had chicken with green salad and a bit of caesar dressing for tea. No snacks in between which is what works best for me. No cups of tea either which is good as find it impossible to cut out the sugar and think those artificial sweeteners taste disgusting.

Have been drinking some orange squash, but end to fill the flass up with water almost to the top and then pour a bit of squash in just to give it a bit of flavour.

Tomorrow I shall go swimming.

WilfSell · 12/05/2008 21:38

oh well I have no self discipline a bad day.

I'm giving myself the 'it's difficult to lose weight when you're up millions of times in the night and still starving BF' excuse.

it's not a good excuse though. Ah well, back on the wagon tomorrow eh?

Dalrymps · 12/05/2008 21:53

Can I join? I'd like to loose at least a stone before i'm bridesmaid at brothers wedding with lots of skinny bridesmaids on the 12th July.
Have been trying to diet for past 2 weeks but 'fell off the wagon' last weekend when visiting family, today I had a thorntons alpini bar and a packet of maltesers, some crunchy chocolate squares, crisps, jelly and ice cream the list goes on, I need to get back on the wagon. Was 12lb 9oz 2 weeks ago. Gonna get some digital scales as mine are rubish then will update my proper weight. Would like to one day be back at somewhere around 10st or just under but don't think thats possible before the wedding. Am willing to give it a good shot though, need to keep up the will power. Mil is determined to break me (the jelly and ice cream was from her) she likes to feed me, can't blame her though, I do a lot more feeding myself. How can I stop myself reaching for the naughty snacks? As soon as I try not to eat them I become obsessed!

CJMommy · 12/05/2008 22:06

Well, had a mixed day! Was doing lovely with my points and have even cut out sugar in my tea. Then DH suggested we go to MIL's with DS as they have been on holiday for 2 weeks...anyway, a cream cake and 2 shortbread biscuits later and I'm wondering whether to send out a search party to look for my will power??! I'm writing everything down so I cannot hide from what I'm eating!WannaBe, I do that with squash too; I just can't do the plain old water thing at all!

mistlethrush · 12/05/2008 22:25

Doing fine until the wine this evening!

bruhaha · 12/05/2008 23:17

i did not bad today - then went to curves this evening when dh came home from work. Went to supermarket for a cooked chicken and salad but they had none so got southern fried chicken instead - not so good

OneLieIn · 12/05/2008 23:31

oh you all make me feel so rubbish.

Nothing for breakfast apart from black tea, nothing until 3pm when I had a gingernut, followed by a very small chicken salad (yo sushi size which is tiny), then a strawberry ice cream. Followed by cheese, ham and pickled onions for supper about half an hour ago.

OMG, that all sounds so gross, doesn't it??

Weigh in at a whopping 13 stones - 5'6 with big curves that wobble too much.

Tomorrow will be a better day food wise. Sometimes, I just don't get around to eating. Also, does anyone else sometimes just still feel full from the day before?

BTW lost 7lbs through no bread, no pasta, no sugar - the ice cream today will have made up for that though....

LolaLadybird · 13/05/2008 07:54

Well, first day was a cinch ... but (before you all throw things at me!!) I've some horrid flu bug that seriously eroded my apetite!! An easy - but rather drastic and unpleasant way to lose a pound or so in 24 hrs. Obviously can't last as have to return to eating normally but was a good kickstart to the diet!

Official starting weight (before horrid flu bug) was 13st 9 . Ultimate goal for my height (5'7) is about 11st 7 I think (oh dear).

MissingMyHeels · 13/05/2008 09:44

Yesterday I did ok apart from a mini choc cornflake cake and an ice lolly (can't be THAT bad, it's only water!).

DD has her first ever immunisations this afternoon - must not comfort eat my worry away (she is my pfb)

quarkee · 13/05/2008 10:38

Hi ladies - yesterdya was so so - am at home with spotty DS so temptation to snack is IMMENSE - had one can of cider instead of normal 2 so thats a 50% improvement isnt it?!

Had 2 crumpets w marmite for b-fast, childs portion fo stew for lunch (DS wouldnt eat it) a few choc buttons (oops) and some BBQ chicken and pork w salad for supper and a WW choc mouse pudding (gorgeous) - we are getting a WiiFit board delivered today so will be skiing tonight cant wait!

quarkee · 13/05/2008 10:44

Just read my post - I had the cider after DS was in bed of course, not while looking after him

Dalrymps · 13/05/2008 11:04

So far today have had a bowl of benefit flakes (aldi's version of special k)and a cup of tea with a sweetner. Gonna have ciabatta with mozarella and tomatoes, and some homemade soup, not sure how good that is? Will have to eat birthday cake later as is mils birthday but will try make that the only bad thing I eat all day!

emmabemmasmom · 13/05/2008 11:16

Good morning/afternoon all!

Well my DD it not feeling good today So she has been whinny and icky so I had a cup of coffee and scone with butter and jam. It was quick and easy to eat while my DD screamed.

However, I have an interview later today so I know I will not eat much more. I already feel the scone lumping in my throat thinking about it.

Good luck today everyone!

LolaLadybird · 13/05/2008 11:40

Just had a cereal bar with a glass of water (see, half healthy!) and already thinking about lunch - I'm liking the mozarella and tomato idea.

Unfortunately, whilst not feeling recovered from the flu-bug, my appetite has returned nonethelss ... and if anything is wanting to make up for a lean 24 hours!

wannaBe · 13/05/2008 13:48

good afternoon!

Having good day so far.. took ds to school then walked to the jim (20 mins) swam 40 lengths and walked home (20 mins). Have had marmite sandwich for lunch and am going to make chicken and potato salad for dinner. Now whether I can hold off the tea with sugar in it ...

Dalrymps · 13/05/2008 15:20

Oops dh offered me a mini thorntons caramel shortbread/chocolate slice and I ate it then told him off for offering it. Going for a walk now to walk it off

bruhaha · 13/05/2008 15:35
