Who's in? Weighed myself this morning and CW is 65.1kg although im not technically overweight, I am heavier than I like. My GW is 53kg.

I'm going to post my progress (and my strategy) every Saturday morning. It's mostly for my own accountability but I hope the thread will also help others.

Since being diagnosed with lupus and PCOS I have found it harder to lose weight. I also find that being a lower BMI reduces my symptoms. I put on 2 stone after having my baby which I would like to shift before my 30th birthday 😅 I'm also breastfeeding so my weight loss is going to be slow and steady. This isn't a competitive 'who can lose the most weight the fastest' kind of thread - it's about supporting each other over the long run. Feel free to join in wherever you are on your weight loss journey 😊

I am making a few changes to my diet.
Switching my hearty porridge and peanut butter for breakfast to scrambled egg (2 eggs on one slice sour dough) and coffee.
Lunch will be chicken and veggies.
Dinner will be a graze board - carrot celery hummus, apple slices, and rye bread with honey and cinnamon 😋
Ginger and lemon tea in the evening

If I get hungry between meals my plan is to have a couple of spoons of zero fat cottage cheese...

Life has been stressful and I stopped paying attention and put the weight back on again, very annoyed with myself.
Just started trying intermittent fasting and finding it OK so far, doing 14/10 at the moment and will see how that goes and try to up it to 16/8 🤞

@NorthernGirl1981 have you tried overnight oats? or has anyone got any good recipes for savoury flapjacks?

Just popped back to see how everyone is doing with their weight loss goals.

I'll give you an update. I started weight loss in Jan and lost a few kgs and then promptly gained them back 😅 I stopped posting because I started getting obsessive about calorie counting in an unhealthy way and so took a break.

Then in April I had a massive mental shift and started again. I'm down to 58kg (from 65). And 6kg away from my goal. The difference this time is: no meal plans, no restriction, no cutting carbs, no calorie counting & eating chocolate everyday. I don't feel hungry, and am losing weight. This approach feels much more sustainable, I'm barely thinking about food, and not counted a single calorie 😅
I've lost 7.5kg in 6 weeks and feeling so much better, and fitting into my old jeans.

People don't talk about how much women are ruled by hormones! Seriously. I was struggling to lose weight because of breastfeeding. No joke. I'm starting to wean my girl off her milk now and now weight loss feels effortless.
