Nice, easy four pounds in September. Who's with me?

I want to drop four pounds in September - a nice, easy target of a pound a week.

Yesterday, I was 8st 4lb. I want to get down to 8st. I'm a short-arse so this would take me into the 'healthy' BMI range.

I'll be:
Calorie restricting (1,500 a day at maximum)
Abstaining from alcohol
Limiting puddings to one a day after tea
Aiming to work out twice per week but definitely managing one time

Would anyone like to join me?

Finally weighed and I am 2lb down, a bit disappointed being unwell for most of last week didn't yield more results!

1 stone down since June, 2lb to target, here's hoping I can lose those this month, but I'm not calorie counting or anything like that so we'll see.

Since I last updated on 7th Sept I'd lost 3lb...have weighed in today and gained it all back 😭 I've eaten totally clean, no sugar, low carb except for 1 day at the weekend when I had a sandwich and a bit of cake for my dc birthday. So frustrating! I hadn't even gone OTT with it, just a very small portion. So back on the clean eating and gym sessions and I'll see what happens over the next few days!

@poptake I'm in peri, so the first week of Sept I was on, it stopped for a few days, weigh in was 3lb down which I suspected was due to period fluctuations. It then started again just after, on for about 5 more days and it's just stopped again, today's weigh in 3lb back on 🙄 this is how it's been for me this whole past year. So disheartening. I'll weigh again tomorrow to see if it's settled down!

Well done everyone who's lost!

If you've inexplicably stayed still or put on, please don't be disappointed or disheartened. Bodies are complex, especially women's bodies - loads of time left. Keep up the good work.

I bought new scales and they said I'm half a pound down since last week. I was hoping for a bit more to be honest but its still moving in the right direction. I'm determined to have a very good week this week - two workouts and strictly 1,500 calories or fewer per day!

Does anyone understand BMR and also Apple Watches?
I could start a thread but you are all lovely so I’ll ask you if you don’t mind 😂

I looked on a BMR calculator and it says 1233 kcal.
My watch under move says for example yesterday total calories 1995.

What does this mean? To lose weight I need how many calories? Am I burning 1995 calories a day? Is that enough? What is the meaning of life? 😂

No change this week. I’ve stayed away from sugar, but slipped up on the carbs, binged on an immense box of corn flakes over three days :-((

Things are a bit better now, and I’m more confident about getting back to IF window and low-ish carbs. Ten days till the end of the month, and maybe two pounds sill be gone by then.

@Dolliesdisasterousdayout I think technically you burned 1995 so would need to eat under that to be in deficit, although wouldn't take it too literally as it may not be accurate. Maybe look at homemade pizza, we have it every week because DS makes it.

As of Friday I was 11 stone 4, down from 11 stone 9 in my first post but I had thought that was water weight anyway. Been on and off with my healthy diet but determined to shift a pound by the end of the month!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been silent - been on a ridiculous course at work which has taken up my days and left me completely pooped in the evenings.

Weigh-in day tomorrow!

I'm hoping to have lost a bit but they're feeding us well on this course so I'm not expecting huge changes.

Im down from 9 stone to 8 stone 12lbs which is a loss of 2lbs so far but I'm disappointed that I didn't seem to loose last week. I'm not finding sticking to calories too hard, exercise has fallen off a bit 😳

Think I need to up the exercise now. I am at a heathy weight but at the higher end so want to loose a few more pounds

So down another pound and 6 in total.
I would like to loose a little more in the next week, maybe one more pound to make half a stone?

Fabulous work. I'm only half a pound down today but period is due so maybe that's why.

Two pounds down this month so far with a week to go. I'm hoping for another pound off this month, it'd be lovely if I could manage two. I'm off to the gym twice this week which hopefully will give me a nudge in the right direction.

No loss for me this week but haven’t put on either. Still only down 3lbs for the month so far. Have been really ill so thought I would have lost something. Now I’m starting to feel a bit better I just want to comfort eat. How do I say away from the junk?!

@OlivejuiceU2 the only way that I can do it is just not buy it! It helps that I have no shops or takeaways nearby so I can’t just pop to the shop. I gave up smoking earlier this year and have tried to address junk food as I did cigarettes. Cold turkey, no excuses. I’ve convinced myself that I need it anymore.

So I've put on a lb but lost an inch off my waist...someone explain that one to me?! I'm ovulating and a little bloated so really hoping it's a glitch, going to re-weigh on Friday.

I've also gained a pound! It's so frustrating being short, with only a few pounds to lose! I'm eating so well, exercising lots but look 5 months pregnant!

On my periods which were 15 days late and 13.13 two pounds up from before
