Stone in 6 weeks support club!

Restlessinthenorth · 09/08/2024 13:26

Hey

I am looking to shift around 1.5 stones. Going to start by focusing on moving the first stone over the next six weeks. Starting the thread for accountability and if anyone would like to join for a bit of support?

I weighed in last Sunday, so will see what week one results are like soon.

Not following any particular diet, although doing an intermittent fast, and focusing on two high protein balanced meals daily

I went on a trip with a friend and ate and drank for a full 24 hours. I did not make good choices. The scales have crept back up and a pound back on!

Raaraab · 29/08/2024 17:05

I am replacing one meal with a Huel drink to try and get my calories down.

Has anyone tried this? Are they terrible for you?

The adrenaline rush from last week is well and truly gone, and I’m back to trying to avoid thinking too much about anything. Putting one foot after the other and keeping the salad topped up in the fridge. I buy unbeleafable leaves. Keeps fresh for a week, doesn’t need washed, grab a handful and team up with lean protein and I’m good for a few more hours.

I’ve quickly developed a drive-thru latte habit though. Will address that o er the next week or two.

Keep going everyone, we can do this! It does get easier if you stick with it. I’ve definitely found that after a week my appetite reduced and it’s been less of a struggle to stick to fewer calories.

I'm so annoyed at myself. Had a really good day then ruined it with two slices of pizza! Argh! I need to refocu, I will have certainly undone some of those 3lb this week

It’s so easy to do that! Just letting your guard down for five minutes and you’ve sabotaged the day. Another day tomorrow….

Not weighing in till Monday morning, but just wanted to share a non scale victory. Haven't mentioned to my kids I'm dieting, but this morning my teenager daughter said "mum I didn't want to bring it up cos don't want you to think it matters, but you look like you have lost weight" so it must be showing a little!

That’s so good when other people notice. I happened to be naked in front of the oh and he said something similar. He also thinks he can see some muscles growing from the weights I’ve been doing.

at the mo I’m approaching the end of my third week and I’m standing at 2.8kg off with official weigh day Monday to mark the end of week 3. Today has gone really well so I’m hopeful for results!

someone asked about shakes to replace meals (sorry didn’t catch the name). I’ve been doing it most days. Not huel but Morrisons own brand slim fast. Works ok and staves off some hunger but not a replacement for sheer will power.

Just weighed in and it's a maintain for me. To be expected as a heavy day out last week, but been super good around it. But never mind, onwards and hopefully downwards! That's 9lb in 4 week, so probs won't hit the stone in 6 weeks, but would like to have done 12lb. That leaves me 2 weeks to shift 3lb. Feels achievable!

Four days since my last loss, and one more pound gone. Definitely feeling it in my clothes, particularly in my jeans and the gap between me and the steering-wheel.

Total loss since joining this group on 15 Aug is 4 lbs.

Total loss since end of June when I first started is 16 lbs.

Accbabymom1994 · 02/09/2024 13:02

Hi I would like to join , started my weight loss since July , 21 pounds down I have at least 3 more stones to lose and then 2 more . I am currently 13.13 and I would like to go to 10 then 8 or 9 . I'm 5'4 . I'm doing intermittent fasting.

Tomatojuiceandvodka · 02/09/2024 17:46

Weigh day for me and it’s 0.6kg or 1lb 5oz off this week. Total loss over the three weeks has been 3.2kg or 7lb. Very pleased with that.

unfortunately there was a big meeting at work today where pizzas were ordered in. I won’t have any dinner so hopefully no damage done!

Beaverbridge · 02/09/2024 17:52

Started last Monday, first weigh in today, minus 4. Got 7 weeks till holiday fingers crossed for a stone off by then.

Restlessinthenorth · 02/09/2024 20:48

Great results from everyone! And welcome to our new joiners!

Went out for lunch today in a place with some very yummy, but calorific options. Picked poached eggs on sourdough which was definitely the best choice. Feeling proud of myself!

todAy was difficult. Health issues in the family. Had to go to supermarket this morning and was waylaid by yellow reduced stickers. Bought a few things I definitely didn’t need, and ate off-plan. The urges passed by the afternoon and I was back to healthy food by teatime.

Life should be calmer tomorrow. My credit card came through later this morning, and I’ll be able to order online without having to walk past all the temptations.

Restlessinthenorth · 06/09/2024 06:18

@2Early4Breakfast hope all is ok and wish you a better day today. It's amazing that you pulled things back round for lunch time! It's easy to let a couple of bad choices derail a few days

Hi all, thanks so much for this support thread. I have lost 4lb in total in just a couple of weeks or so, so I am pleased. I’ve been mostly careful but have still enjoyed a glass of wine or two in that time. Looking to keep it up 😀

Accbabymom1994 · 06/09/2024 13:36

I am 13.11 now so 23 pounds down xx

Restlessinthenorth · 06/09/2024 22:23

Some fantastic losses here! Keep it up everyone

Hello, I think I’m probably a lot fatter than everyone else here, but I’m looking for motivation to get out of such terrible habits!

Restlessinthenorth · 07/09/2024 12:03

Welcome @OctFeb glad to have you on board

Lesmiserables2024 · 07/09/2024 21:48

Can I join please? I have 5 weeks until a holiday in Majorca and really need some focus to lose the weight. I have about 2.5 stone to lose (obvs not in 5 weeks) and another big holiday in February so hoping the 5 week focus until holiday will motivate me to keep going in the longer term.

Tomatojuiceandvodka · 09/09/2024 06:02

Welcome new joiners and well done everyon! The end of week four weigh in for me this morning and my total loss is now 4.3kg or 9lb. Really optimistic I’ll make the stone in two more weeks!

Beaverbridge · 09/09/2024 19:56

Weigh in today. Minus 3 pounds. Total to date 7 pounds. 6 weeks to loose another 7.

Restlessinthenorth · 10/09/2024 08:17

Another maintain for me. So bloody frustrating! Going to try be meticulous about everything I eat and drink this week. Aiming for 2lb off a week today.

Well done everyone, some great losses!
