Stone in 6 weeks support club!

Restlessinthenorth · 09/08/2024 13:26

Hey

I am looking to shift around 1.5 stones. Going to start by focusing on moving the first stone over the next six weeks. Starting the thread for accountability and if anyone would like to join for a bit of support?

I weighed in last Sunday, so will see what week one results are like soon.

Not following any particular diet, although doing an intermittent fast, and focusing on two high protein balanced meals daily

Can I join too?

We just booked our wedding ceremony for 27 September (just over 6 weeks) and would like to lose as close to a stone as possible by then.

I'm currently 87kg, up 2kg from a few weeks ago, but down from 115kg last September.

The 30kg weight loss was 10kg baby weight and 20kg overweight from before pregnancy. But was lost very unhealthily as I had severe PND and didn't eat more than half a tin of soup a day for two months (and that was a challenge).

Since I lost the 30kg I plateaued, until baby went to nursery and I started back at work and weight is creeping back on.

My plan is to cut out sugary and carby snacks and volume eat vegetables with every meal to fill me up. I'm vegan so no meat here.

Glenthebattleostrich · 14/08/2024 09:03

Hello everyone, a few of us now!

@DressMe24 exciting about the wedding, congratulations.

Had a really good day yesterday, 11000 steps, 15 mins of strength work on upper body (I really want toned arms!) And food was spot on. Did have a couple of glasses of fizz but also hit 2l of water.

Today's aims -

Fast until 12
2l of water
11000 steps
15 minutes of strength work.

Food will be tuna wraps for lunch (made with lettuce) and roast chicken with salad for dinner. Snacks will be seeds and strawberries.

I am a daily weigher (yes I'm annoying!) And Today the scales said 198.8, down from Sundays 200! Already walked 5500 steps and first bottle of water down.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Restlessinthenorth · 14/08/2024 10:11

Great to see more of us on the thread, it definitely helps to not feel alone!

Think I'm going well. From tomorrow my work is going to go through the roof for at least four days with the temptation of bad food to drag people though it with less opportunity for steps but determined to stay on track as much as possible

Can't remember who asked about steps but for me, they do seem to have an impact! I know that a walk to my local park, 4 laps round and the walk home takes just over an hour and I hit 10000 steps. It's boring but at least I know exactly what I need to do!

Hi everyone, joining in for some motivation. Scales yesterday said 210lbs but I know a couple of pounds of that is period weight. My end goal is 140lbs but for now I'd like 2 or 3 pounds a week off, and I'll be thrilled.

Calorie counting here using my fitness pal and also aiming for 2 litres of water, more fruit and veg, and walks each day

DressMe24 · 14/08/2024 10:24

Today our baby woke at 7am, so he was dropped at nursery by 8. He doesn't usually wake until after 8 (yesterday it was 9.20) so my body is confused that it's only just gone 10. I'm so hungry! 😭

I just went down to the kitchen in search of food, but managed to persuade myself not to eat and instead brought back a big jug of water to my office.

Current weight: 87kg
BMI: 29.1
Steps: just around the house so far

Goodvibesonly · 14/08/2024 21:51

Can I join? I definitely need a group to help me lose this last stone of baby weight! I thought that I could do it alone but have failed multiple times and am currently at my highest (non pregnancy) weight ever! I haven’t weighed myself yet but my work uniform barely fits, I’m sure a shirt button will fly off should I breathe out! Plan is to hit 10,000 steps a day and also stick to 1300-1400 calories a day. Finishing today at just under 1300 calories and I’ve done 5000 steps.

Cackleandcluck · 14/08/2024 22:13

Please can I join, I need to lose a stone and I’m so hungry and craving the Jaffa cakes. I was 71kg but have managed to to get down to 67kg but have become stuck here. I’ve increased my exercise but with two kids I’ve not been doing well at eating. I’m meeting old friends in a few weeks and I want to be the same size I was when I last saw them. I’ve cut down on pasta, rice and bread and cut out sugar in my tea. I have very little carbs. Any other suggestions?

Restlessinthenorth · 14/08/2024 22:23

Welcome to all the new joiners, so glad to have people to do this with! Hopefully a month from now and we will all be going in the right direction!

I am close to 12 stone and 5 foot 4 .. I have tried fasting until 1 pm on and off but usually break it for a biscuit! Have a wedding the 21st Sept and need to lose my tummy ! I have an exercise bike on the kitchen and I'm starting again today after seeing this thread . Thank you all

Tomatojuiceandvodka · 15/08/2024 08:45

Still on track here too. My plan is:

16:8 approximately anyway. I have a meal replacement shake about 10:30-11. Another meal replacement shake about 1pm. I’m not hungry in the morning naturally so having two “meals” close together helps me to not feel starving.

over the day I allow myself 300 calories (generally 3x100) for snacks. It’s amazing how much fruit or veg you can fill a plate with for 100 calories!

about 5pm I have a proper meal with 50% of my plate salad.

lots of water and no alcohol.

minimum 30 mins exercise a day. Minimum 10000 steps. Minimum 400 calories from movement (measured by Apple Watch).

I’m 1kg down in four days even though I promised not to weigh in until Monday.

2Early4Breakfast · 15/08/2024 10:49

I’d like to join in please. I’ve already lost twelve pounds since the end of June, and want to keep losing a pound every five days or so.

I mostly do IF, along with limiting processed foods in general, and carbs in particular.

I discovered “unbeleafable” salad leaves in tesco, which have long bbe dates and keeps me out of the supermarket for longer and away from temptation. It’s so easy to put together a quick meal for myself alongside some protein.

Glenthebattleostrich · 15/08/2024 12:22

Hello everyone

197.6 this morning, fasted until 12, water rubbish today but I'll pick it up this afternoon.

6000 steps so far. I'm walking my neighbours 3 dogs (big, including a flighty Irish wolfhound who can't go off lead as her recall is terrible so quite an upper body workout. Going to miss them next week!) Done my strength workout this morning too, added in some abs and legs too so was 25 minutes instead of 15.

Hopefully going for a lovely walk with a friend later, if not I'll get out for a stomp again this evening as well as the normal dog walks with my little sleepyhead!

@2Early4Breakfast well done on that loss.

@Radyward get on that bike while a meal is cooking, you'll soon see a difference. I need to haul the treadmill out of the study into the garage so I can start using it when the weather turns. I've set up the cross trainer this week so can use that too.

I book my holiday for next year on Sunday so have 11 months to get down to 156lb, so loads of time! Getting a stone off will be the best start!

Restlessinthenorth · 15/08/2024 15:37

I'm really proud of myself...work offered a lovely Thai curry for lunch. I had just half a portion of rice and passed on the prawn crackers. I enjoyed it just as much and didn't feel deprived. I'm amazing myself at how on track I feel at the moment. Long may it continue!

My biggest problem atm is my teenager moaning I’m not feeding her properly because of the healthy food in 😡

she actually making me feel really bad- but I’m fairly sure no kid has ever died from lack of crisps and white bread

Goodvibesonly · 15/08/2024 21:50

I summoned up the courage to weigh myself today - 8st10. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be (lots of eating out / takeaways over the past few weeks!) but I am asian petite build and only 4’11” and my pre-pregnancy weight was 7 stone. I’ll be happy to get down to 7st 7lbs now.

Today was hard but the first few days usually are! I did okay, stayed under 1300 calories and did 10k steps.

2Early4Breakfast · 15/08/2024 22:24

Been there @stopscrollingandgettowork

The best I can do atm is to give my teens a healthier version of what they really really want, and have salad and homemade soup for myself. It’s not ideal, but I’m determined not to yoyo.

chalkyc2 · 16/08/2024 08:40

Guys can I join you a week late?! We're away this week on a wet UK break (oh no heatwave where we are!) and eating is only way to get through it!

Backstory - I lost 50kg over the last 18 months...BUT never got to my goal weight and have put on at least 5kg since Easter. I need to weigh when I get home but need to regain control and prob lose 10kg.

Will be with you first thing Monday morning to check in!

Restlessinthenorth · 16/08/2024 11:31

Welcome @chalkyc2 all welcome to join at whatever point!

Still hanging on till 12 for my first meal of the day. I'm ready for it now!

I stuck to my food plan today, but barely moved as I was snowed under with paperwork. I feel really flabby, and intend moving much more over the weekend.

Restlessinthenorth · 17/08/2024 08:38

@2Early4Breakfast I managed to find some time for a walk yesterday after an intense week and I felt so much better for it! It was warm enough to feel pleasant but not so warm it made walking uncomfortable. Hope you manage to do something similar over the weekend. I'm working all weekend but going to try fit some more movement in

So I'm conscious of what I eat since joining this thread . Last night I had 1 glass of wine and feel guilty not going on the exercise bike ! I feel my tummy is flatter but not weighed yet .It's a fab idea this thread ❤️
