Anyone else out there with 5 plus stones to lose? Who fancies doing a weekly weigh in with me?

I have got really overweight in the last couple of years and would love to meet some others who might be trying to cut down but not exactly dieting. Where do you start when there is so much to lose? Any tips on evening snacking? TIA

yeah youre right really, as im just under (by 1lb) 16st and i should/want to be about 10 1/2 i guess 12lb wont make a vast difference?..but last year when i lost same amount at s.w my clothes were hanging off me and everything!?..i went down a dress size as well!?

but re my friends, i ALWAYS compliment them, just my way, when i meet bump into them i notice something new/nice and comment, but they never seem tor eturn the compliment..i guess some people jsut dont then?

made lovely dinner tonight..skinless chicken breast oven baked and then dipped in egg and coated lightly in bread crumbs, back in oven to brown, then made up cheese sauce with packet mix(not so good!) and a bit of grated chedder, with lots of salad..its was beautful!..its the only thing ive ate almost all day just had banana at 12 and strawbs at 4 as been rushing around loads, so was nice and tasty and filling

Pink, sounds like you are doing brilliantly well. It is a shame that people haven't noticed. I had someone say to me last week that my face looked slimmer (I have lost 4 F***NG STONES!). However, lots of people who did not know I was dieting began to notice after I had lost a stone. I guess it depends where it disappears from first how noticeable it is.

I have my weigh in tomorrow and am hoping for a nice big loss as I have had such a slow couple of weeks! Here's hoping.

RGPargy · 16/06/2008 22:39

Good luck for tomorrow Ags.

Aero · 16/06/2008 23:30

Well done pink and RG.

Four stone Ags - that's amazing. (I haven't read the whole thread, but this will help inspire me for sure).

Not a bad day today, despite going out to lunch with my sister. I did have a chicken and bacon club sandwich, but with salad instead of chips. Sandwich was probably fairly hefty in WW points, but I just had pasta with tomato sauce for dinner tonight and no snacks in between as I honestly wasn't hungry! Hopefully I won't have gone over my allowance and I did walk ds2 to pre-school this morning to earn a point or two.

Ags · 16/06/2008 23:49

Hi Aero and welcome. Sounds like you are doing really well.

PinkChick · 17/06/2008 12:17

Hi Everyone, thanks Ags and Aero..and well done on such a fab loss Ags..y'know sometime i think (my friends in particular!) purposly DONT say anything..i remember having my dd and less than 6 weeks later i was bridesmaid for my bestfriend..we were having dres fittings and as id lost loads of weight when pg as soon as id had her i was 4stone less than what i was fully pregnant..(although still big!)...so we all went for dres fittings and my dress was the smallest(we're all big girls)..i didnt see it at the time but my freind whose wedding it was wasnt happy...and after a few weeks of fittings, the final one came, id lost more weight and friend was taking pictures of 'all' her bridesmaids in dresses before the big day.............and she completely missed me out...now there was only 4 bridesmaids, in a small room so you KNOW if youve missed someone out..but no...it was only later well after the wedding it came out by mistake from her dh that she was jelous of how i now looked as it was her big day!!???..FFS id just had a baby and had terrible all day sickness, id not crash dieted...she neevr once told me i looked good or well done (even though her sisters and other bridesmaid all said how fab it was that the weight had gone)..made me quite sad really, im still me, ive struggled with my weight all my life as has she, didnt think she would be so horrible about it

www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/scale.htm

Read this fantastic article originally posted by Fanella on another thread. It is especially for the scale obsessives like me and explains exactly what the scales can be telling us! Very interesting and informative!

Ags · 17/06/2008 22:36

Pink, sounds like a good day!

I had no breakfast (weigh in!) and going from never eating breakfast to always eating it since starting ww, I really missed it! Had a celebratory crunchie on way back from ww. Then had baked salmon and prawns with a rice salad for lunch. And had 2 eggs, toast and beans for tea. Also had another crunchie this evening!

Definately did not need to eat two crunchies today but altogether not a bad day!

RGPargy · 17/06/2008 22:39

Hiya Pink

Haven't been too bad today at all!

Breakie - 2 WW toast & marm

Lunch - 2 slices of fresh thick bread and butter

3 slices WW lemon cake

dinner - couscous, chicken, veg

2 WW yogs

2 Smirnoff Ice

I've had a picky day today, but it's coz it's TOM i think.

PinkChick · 18/06/2008 08:57

I'm always the same at TOM RG, dont worry about it, havent had brekkie yet, off to book club with mindees when they get here, have been trying to order my new kitchen apliances online, thought it was supposed to be easy!!??..have a good day everyone

PinkChick · 18/06/2008 08:59

oh and got on scales this morn...and im down to 15 11..a full stone..not official weigh in as i did that mon, but am still never the less

Aero · 18/06/2008 19:09

Hi everyone. TOM for me too atm and I'm tryng not to graze.

Breakfast was WW fromage frais with fruit layer and strawberries. Yum and I find gets me past 10am!

Lunch pitta bread and hummous. Had two pittas as one just wasn't enough today. Followed with a WW yoghurt. I've really developed a liking for these, esp the dessert flavour ones. This is from someone who never used to like any yoghurt!

Munched on a few of ds2's crisps and have fallen for the remaining few chips and 2 chicken nuggets on the dcs plates as was hungry. Bad move, I know. Have also made carrot and coriander soup today, so have just had a small cup of that to keep me going until dinner when dh gets in. Prawn risotto tonight - yummy and v low pointage.

I will be thrilled if I lose 1lb this week. Weigh in tomorrow morning.

PinkChick · 18/06/2008 20:06

that prawn risotto sounds nice aero, how do you do that then??

well today has been a success again am very

Breakfast was 2 weetabix with ss milk

lunch was ww breaded sandwhich with ham

dinner was beans on toast with a little grated cheese

no snacks..although i had to stop myself picking at mindees lunch while out, it WAS only salad, but its the 'picking' thats my down fall...i moved the plate away and put serviette over it..am really going for it, hope i can stay this focused

RGPargy · 18/06/2008 20:15

Well done Aero and Pink!

i've had a good(ish) day.

Breakie was 2 x WW toast & light marm

Lunch was round my friend's house and we had couscous, chicken breast and 2 little individual vic sponges. I say little, but they were actually cooked in muffin cases so i'm guessing they were a little on the large side

dinner is couscous and more chicken lol.

Feel like eating for England today Feeling a bit peed off tonight as it goes. Think it's coz i'm knackered (DD woke me up about every 2 hours last night) and now DD is laying upstairs making funny noises when she's supposed to be going to sleep! i've been up there about 4 or 5 times already in the last hour, doing the "dummy run". I tell you, every time i try and get away with putting her to bed before 8pm, i get grief so it's just not worth it really lol!

Ags · 18/06/2008 21:14

RG and Aero, sounds like a very good day's eating! And Pink, I don't in any way want to sound like a saboteur, but are you eating enough? When I point up on the weight watchers scale what you have eaten today, it doesn't even get to 10 points! Unless the sandwiches were humungous and you had 10 slices of toast for dinner!? Just making sure you are not actually starving yourself!

I am actually starving myself today! I run the local Mums and Tots and we had a jumble sale today. People brought cake! Oh what a disaster. I didn't have time for proper breakfast but instead gorged myself on chocolate cake! I have no idea what the points were but I know it was a lot! SO for the rest of the day, it has been basic rations to try to atone! Hey hum, tomorrow is another day and I am definately going to have a massive breakfast. It really helps me.

RGPargy · 18/06/2008 21:42

Funnily enough Ags, i was wondering the same thing about what Pink was eating. I could never survive on such little food!!

Considering i've had 2 smirnoff ices both last night and Monday night and then 2 "mini" vic sponges today, i'll be very surprised if i lose any weight at my weigh in on Monday!

Aero · 18/06/2008 22:57

Here you go Pink. Prawn Risotto recipe. This is the one we use and had tonight. Totally gorgeous and I reckon no more than 6 points per portion. It serves two. Perfect for an evening meal.

jaz236 · 19/06/2008 08:10

ok im still at the inlaws and last nite i had about 3 glassses of wine - and cheese toasties, in the day i ate chips, and at breakfast i had fried egg and bacon adn white bread - this is really bad and so i bought some of that slimthru!!
