Anyone else out there with 5 plus stones to lose? Who fancies doing a weekly weigh in with me?

I have got really overweight in the last couple of years and would love to meet some others who might be trying to cut down but not exactly dieting. Where do you start when there is so much to lose? Any tips on evening snacking? TIA

jaz236 · 04/06/2008 17:08

Tday ive had porridge with banana, salad with cottage cheese and small tiny potato and 1 bag of pom teddy crisps only 94 calories and 1 WW rich toffee bar and now im only going to have veg for dinner!

so i reckon ive had about8 points so far , is that correct?

does anyone know how many points the porridge from aldi is as it aint in the shopping WW book?

jaz236 · 04/06/2008 17:15

anyone also know the points value of butchers choice sainsburys cumberland sausgae - they are 135 calories per sausage - help!! as i may eat them all very soon!

chocolatespiders · 04/06/2008 20:12

how much sat fat?

undervalued · 04/06/2008 20:13

Hello!! I had porrige with banana too Jaz, it was surprisingly tasty. I'm sure aldi porridge is the same as any.
Keep away from the sausages!! They are loaded with points....well, they are either 2.5 to 3 points each.
How often should I weigh myself do you think? I don't want to demotivate myself by doing so too much.

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 20:13

Hi Jaz 236, sorry i dont know points values!?

Well i've had a really good day today

This morning had black tea and cereal with SS milk..'thought' i was still hungry as my portion was smaller than id normally have so put some more in..and i ACTUALLY could NOT eat them!!1...so for the first time in my lardy life.....I LEFT THEM!!!..my mum will be speechless!

This afty i had 2 eggs made into omlette with dash of milk in two dry slices of toast and smidge of tom sauce

For dinner ive had 2 slices dry toast(am seeing a pattern emerge here, didnt used to be a big rbead eater..will look at that!
with lean(no fat at all) grilled bacon and some grated cheese with almost a full punnet of cherry toms

have jsut drank water and sugar free cordial today and lots of it as so warm and had a good walk out this morn with mindeees to playgroup and ofcourse the 3 school runs, so am hoping to lose...but i didnt get weighed on mine, just nurses and dont go back till week on monday?, so wont 'really' know till then

Hope everyone else has had nice / good day too...me and dp are going to look round local swish gym on sat, it has an offer were you pay for one month and are not tied in, so no more to pay if you dont like it, but if you do you only need to sign up for 6 months instead of 12!..its very centerparcsish..lovely

chocolatespiders · 04/06/2008 20:15

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 20:45

Well done CS..i feel like that too atm, dp and i are going to look round gym on sat, they have months offer on at min, so can go for month and see how it goes then join if we like it!

jaz236 · 04/06/2008 20:46

per sausage the sat fat is 4grams per sausage - is this good or bad, ive eaten 2 now!!

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 20:47

oh and meant to say, as much as i feel fab having not been snacking and eating choc, i DO wonder if i will actually lsoe any weight?, these tabs only suppress my appetite, nothing else..so if im not following a plan such as ww or sw..will i still lose????

jaz236 · 04/06/2008 20:48

135 cals per sausage and 4grams of sat fat.

PinkChick · 04/06/2008 21:31

i have dug out the cindy crawford one!..it IS fab!

RGPargy · 05/06/2008 07:54

Seems like we're all being very good doesn't it!

last night for dinner i had a whole packet of Ainsley Cous Cous (i'm addicted to the stuff at the mo ), Thai chicken breast and a big pile of salad. It was yummy and only about 8.5 points for a huge plateful!

jaz236 · 05/06/2008 08:59

oh how many points for the cous cous - well ive just done the davina dvd, could only manage the warm up

RGPargy · 05/06/2008 09:22

The whole pack is 5.5 points, which i think is outstanding value for pointage because there's loads of it!

Well done for doing the DVD! You might have only managed the warm up, but at least it's a start, eh?!

chocolatespiders · 05/06/2008 15:59

yum the couscous sounds good.....I have got the aldi one atm......

great that you did the warm up... you will improve and do more in time

I like vicky binns one as it is 15 mins sections so i just chose which section to do each morn

jaz236 · 05/06/2008 16:59

hmmmmmm i dunno about the davina on, she has a great bod, but the warm up was really easy. ive been for walk with baby today and im going to make my own popcorn tnite as big brother is on!! no fat in home made popcorn

RGPargy · 05/06/2008 17:05

But Jaz, warm ups are designed to get your heart going a little and to warm up your muscles so that you dont injure yourself by working out on cold muscles! If it's toooo easy, perhaps you could up the intensity of it??

Enjoy your popcorn!

chocolatespiders · 05/06/2008 17:09

ohhohhhh big brother didnt know that started tonight
every year i think it is on for X number of weeks and i can lose X ammount of pounds by the time it ends but the end arrives and i havent lost a thing
This year will be different!!!! i will have lost loads

jaz236 · 05/06/2008 18:06

yup im exactly the same as u choco thinking i will loose the pounds by the time the prog is over.

ive just been on the treadmill and was really going for it, then heard baby crying his head off and had to come on the treadmill -once he was calmed down with hubbie i went back on adn had no motivation, the moemnt was gone! UNBELIAVABLE!!
