I have got really overweight in the last couple of years and would love to meet some others who might be trying to cut down but not exactly dieting. Where do you start when there is so much to lose? Any tips on evening snacking? TIA

yes chocolatespiders, most swimming pools are open at 6 or 6.30 in the mornings as the peeps who go to work may want to go for a swim before work.

I cant face doing a dvd in the early hours of the morning!

Actually must admit its quite busy in the mornings.

what dvd do you do? has anyone doen the vicky binns one, or natalie cassidy dvd? I must admit though they both look so strange being the new size that they are.

I saw vicky on Lorraine kellys show and she came on and she look awful really gaunt and lorraine was praising her - all i could think was that lorraine such a dammed lyer!! she looked ill!

Dont have time to mine in the morning because DD doesn't have a set time that she gets up yet so keep meaning to remember to perhaps do a step DVD twice a week in the evenings when DD has gone to bed.

I like the Nell McAndrew one - it makes me sweat so I think it must be good!

ChocolateSpiders - You are right about exercising before eating as your metabolism speeds up for a period so that you will actually burn calories more quickly for a while.

I have had the week 'off' - not going mad with eating but just eating what I've wanted. I've put a pound on. Back to the regime on Tuesday (back to work then!)

Must exercise more as I know this will help a lot. So far I am only managing once a week! Will try to build up to twice!!

it is the vicky binns one i do, i just do one 15 min section...- this is all i can manage without getting bored and exausted...
I havent done it today as dd has her friend over.....

i do it first thing as if my stomach is empty i am hoping it will burn off fat rather then the food i have eaten> not sure if that makes sense....

I am so proud of myself went to a party last night with the nicest biggest buffet i have ever seen, which i could eat and eat and eat, but i didnt, before i went i had roast veg and couscous, and at the party i had a satsuma off the buffet table and lots of diet coke

i cant tell you how hard it was but i had to think i have had my dinner i am not hungry so i dont need to eat lovely sandwiches, chicken satay etc etc....i could easily have ate it but i didnt and i am so glad i didnt

I would have eaten the whole lot and thought abt my diet the next day.

I have been good all day!!

and ladies mini milk ice lollies only 40 calories and they are so yummy!!
also yves saint laurent do a fab line in nail polish pens they are divine u must all go out and buy one as they are great!!

if like me u havent got time to spruce yourselves up cos of baby then this pen is great to just touch up your nails!!

My redundancy money has come through so me thinks its time i treated myself!!

Not been too bad today, but i think i blew it today by having a cheese omlette baguette that DP made. Only 1 egg in it, but i reckon the cheese was far more than i am probably allowed. Now i'm on the wine so i know for a fact that i have gone over my limit. I just wish i could control myself better on Saturdays and Sundays!! It's normally booze that lets me down. Must try harder!

got up and did my dvd!!!!

breakfast was a banana...

not really hungry so just having a satsuma now, and tuna and green leaves for dinner....

hope everyone else is having a good day...

I feel really in control at the moment obviouly helped by the fact that i have a date lined up in 3 weeks with a real life man!!!! and i feel sick everytime i think about it which is def helping with my diet!!!
would like to lose a stone by then,
I havent weighed myself for a wekk and i dont plan to for another week so hoping for a good result

well im having salad tnite with small jacket potato and and a cauldron mushroom burger.

i tried the WW tuna and mayonaise tday only 1 point per can, tiny can though but it was nice.

There small can of beans is 2 points!!

prob not but dates call for drastic measures... i havent been on one for 8-9 years OMG......

had a really nice tea of tiny tin of tuna. mixed with salad cream and spring onion, with cucumber, tomatoes, and rocket, watercress and spinach salad, it was delicious....

just had a satsuma as well - anyone know how many points in these?

Hi there, i dipped my toe in a week or so ago but didnt jump in as i wasnt 'into' things properly!

Now have kind of sorted my head out due to gp refusing me the pill and fam planning saying if i dont lose weight i have 4 more years and theyll take it off me too(if i stay this weight or gain)....they advised me to see gp and tell them how upset i am and how hard im finding it.so...saw nurse this morn who has prescribed reductil and have got to say(wether its in my mind or not???) i havent been hungry since about an hour after taking it???..im hoping it my miracle cure??..dont know much about it, but know i have to change my eating habits drastically too!
so today before i went, as usual i had some chocolate..for breakfast!..when we got back in i had 2 slices of dry toast with dry fried(no oil) eggs on and bit of tommy sauce...for dinner tonight i had 2 small jacket spuds, little bit of butter(thats one of my problems-butter) and tuna, bit of mayo and sweetcorn and thats it other than lots of weak cordial..i was actually full after eating first small jeacket, but me being me persisted and TBH i think it was my mind/the reductil working to tell me to stop, so from now on, I'll be listening!..im the type of person who 'doesnt like to see waste"...but the only waste ill never see is my own! if i keep going on like this...
So..what do i need to do? tell you my weight height loss/gain/maintain etc???

Hi Rg, main side effect it says on box it "loss of appetite"LOL, well ehres hoping!!!!

thats all i ate yesterday, got dp to take the big bar of galaxy into work this morn and so far have had a banana, i would normally have eaten bar of choc and sausage and egg sandwhich from shop on way home from school, so either im gullable and i 'think' its working or it really is!..i just dont 'feel ' hungry!

worked out i want to lose(no point starting off easy!) 6 stone..help!

lunch- banana

tea- couscous, and roasted veg (small portion)

before bed - hot choc (asda low cal)

Pinkchick well done for getting dp to take the bar of choc, have a hot choc instead!!!

so far today have had
banana breakfast
2 slices of toast with 2 dry fried eggs (again) and then a banana about 2 as i started feeling hungry( i noramlly snack ALL day, so body is going into shock!)
For tea, i dont know what to have???will have to raid cupboards...i feel very proud of myself though even though its been only two days im normally so greedy and piggy!

oh my gawd ive only lost half a bleeding pound! and ive eaten loads of salad!

going to start go swimming in the mornings and im off to go on the treadmill tnite.

well this is what im trying to do!!

bought myself some cut off jeans tday from dotty P's size 16 too loose and 14 tooooo tight! i was a muffin top in the end!

well tonight im a bit...made for tea fish(in bread crumbs) with skinny oven chips and corn on cob(no butter)..was because i was feeling guilty for mixing days/eating fish that was coated etc , but am not actually On s.w so as long as i watch WHAT i eat and HOW MUCH i eat i should be ok...no snacks again today! even though ive had stressful day and fancied some...am quite pleased with myself
