Anyone else out there with 5 plus stones to lose? Who fancies doing a weekly weigh in with me?

I have got really overweight in the last couple of years and would love to meet some others who might be trying to cut down but not exactly dieting. Where do you start when there is so much to lose? Any tips on evening snacking? TIA

Ags - pork escalopes, veg and couscous, followed by a beer and a ww yog and a few Snack A Jacks!

Yummy!!

Jaz - well done on the weight loss!!

jaz236 · 23/05/2008 20:56

na, this is from last tuesday, i only lost a pound and a half - it didnt get added to the list - didnt have the Pimms dont know the points on that particular drink yet, its in a can anyway as i fancy trying it but wint buy the whole bottle as yet, i have my mint and cucumber though for it tmoz as its meant to be a scorcher - APPARENTLY!!

RiaButterflew · 23/05/2008 21:00

I had southern comfort with lime and lemonade in tesco last week. It was NICE and made the shopping more interesting

I am stocked up on SW stuff, now all I need is to make fruit salad and soup, and get the motivation...

Ags · 23/05/2008 21:00

RG, glad to hear you filled up the points with something yummy.

Jaz, half a glass of pimms is an impossibility in my experience. It is so moreish! Enjoy. It is supposed to be rainy here so no bbqs for us. By the way, you just copy and paste the list into your own post and change your weight loss on it.

I am having a tricky week. Think my blow out on Tuesday has unbalanced me a bit and made me hungry. I have stuck to my points but it has been tricky. I have 4 points left for the day but am out of Crunchies. A serious disaster! Might have toast and jam. Feel a need for sweets.

jaz236 · 23/05/2008 21:37

OH NO AGS please dont feel the need for sweets. Go and do something else, think about hiw fab u will be looking!

Ive never tried PImms before you see, Im having white wine and soda now, its my 2nd glass since before i was pregnant. Im not BF baby as much these days so me thinks im allowed!

your making me nervouse abt the PIMMS now! ha

Ags · 23/05/2008 23:50

No,Jaz, don't panic! Its ok. I don't have any sweets in the house (another cunning diet trick!). I did have toast and jam so stayed within my points. Phew!

Enjoy the Pimms! Sounds like you might be a half a glass type of person at the moment so you should be safe. Only 2 drinks since before you were pregnant is very very good!

RGPargy · 24/05/2008 09:33

Ugh! I have a hangover! I went to a neighbour's bodyshop party thing last night (bit like a tupperware party but with bodyshop stuff lol). Anyway, we just all sat around putting the world to rights and drinking wine. I'd already had 3 glasses up the pub before i went and i'd not eaten either so by the time i got home i was trashed!!!

That's it, i'm not drinking EVER again!!

RiaButterflew · 24/05/2008 10:26

for the hangover I am feeling a little delicate myself, but not too bad.

I have weighed in and thankfully not gained any more, just stayed the same as last week and the week before.

I have had a good SW breakfast (potato cubes and dry-fried egg and beans, and a banana) and I am starting with a clean slate on the list if that's ok?

Ags -3 lbs -51 lbs
BananaKnickers -4.5lbs -4.5lbs
Chewing20times -5lbs -21lbs
Kelas -2.5lbs -13.5lbs
Jaz236 -2lb -7lbs
Sandramaryb -4lbs -7 lbs
Michie40 -? -7lbs
Sussies -2lbs -2lbs
RGPargy -3.5lbs -4.5lbs
Chocolatespiders - 2.0lbs- 5.0lbs
Ria 00 00

Good luck for the weekend (I shouldn't have a problem with that, it's next weekend when I go away that will need some cunning management)

jaz236 · 24/05/2008 21:17

Oh my gawd RGPARGY thas hilarious!!

well i only had a sip of the PIMMS as i wasnt really intersted in it. - was to busy thinking of the food - far too sweet though - i know what u mean highly addictive - weather was gorgeous tday so had BBQ!

RiaButterflew · 24/05/2008 21:41

It's going well. The only non-SW thing I've eaten is the cottage pie I made for last night but the DCs wouldn't eat, but it was made in an almost SW way and I had loads of veg. I still have an allocated supper snack too.

Hope I can keep this up

RGPargy · 24/05/2008 21:50

mmmmmm i would kill for a BBQ!!!

i've been feeling sooooo tired all day and haven't eaten anything substantial all day. Had some toast a while ago but i'm trying to keep my food intake down as much as poss to make up for the huge amount of points i undoubtedly went over yesterday. I did have 6.5 points over from the week tho so that's something i suppose.

I was seriously contemplating getting a pizza delivery tonight. you know how it is when you just want comforting junk food to nurse your hangover with. Glad i didn't go through with it tho.

DD has been an absolute star considering her mummy has been a zombie all day, bless her. DP has gone to Leicester today/tomorrow to make some tracks with his mates so i have the house to myself and my bed is very very inviting at the moment!

RGPargy · 25/05/2008 17:24

Blimey, bit quiet on here today! Where is everyone? Off having BBQs no doubt!

jaz236 · 25/05/2008 18:48

Im here sweetie - well my friend came up today to visit, armed with sausages and white baps, and so i had burgers and baps and sausages and chips and then later on I had butter chicken curry and rice and some of hubbies chips - all started on a good day and now has gone horribly wrong!! OH MY GAWD!! Im off to watch Shrek now, my mirror image ha!!

jaz236 · 25/05/2008 18:49

oh and i might aswell have had the blinking pimms now after the blow out ive just had.

I need to go to prison or something where the food is rubbish and then i can starve - but having said that Ive seen badgirls!!

conniedom · 25/05/2008 19:18

Panties/sussies/pantiesandsussies/triflenork here, I have changed my name again. (I have been trying to find this post again, for ages now).
At christmas I was 17 stone and I started on here weighing 15 stone 7 on the 16th of April, I now weigh 14 stone. So thats a stone and a half in 6 weeks. (Or 3 stone since xmas) I got into a pair of size 18 trousers my mam brought me for xmas three years ago, they are very (camel toe) snug, but I got them on! God it was a relief to get them of again.

RGPargy · 25/05/2008 21:55

lol Jaz!! if it's any consolation, i've had a bottle of wine ++++ and i'm just about to have steak and chips!

Connie - Wow, well done!! It's great when that happens isn't it?!

RiaButterflew · 25/05/2008 22:12

I was perfectly behaved yesterday, started todat SO well, with SW breakfast and fresh pineapple, made fresh fruit salad to take to DMs for lunch, planned on having pork chops, salad and veg, but DM had cooked pork chops, sausages, burgers, potato wedges, enough garlic bread for a small buffet, etc, etc, and toffee pavlova for pudding!!!

I didn't overdo it, but had more than I'd planned for, so am having tortilla chips and dip.

No plans for tomorrow though so no excuses...

Ags · 26/05/2008 08:47

Conniedom, that is seriously brilliant. You must be feeling fabulous. Remind me what diet you are doing again? Well done on getting into those trousers.

Jaz and Ria that sounds like quite a feast! Hope it was delicious and you are back on the wagon today!

No bbqs for us this weekend but I have been out quite a lot. Lunch out on Saturday and Sunday but managed ok. Isn't it funny with bbqs? If you have dinner you have steak or lamb or pork or a burger or sausages or pork. If you have a bbq you have the lot! What is that about? We always cook at least 4 types of meat when we bbq. And I always say we have far too much and my husband says we haven't. He always turns out to be right!

jaz236 · 26/05/2008 09:47

yes and ive forgotten how much i love bread!!

conniedom · 26/05/2008 13:05

The doctor at work recommends you write a food diary for a month, then work out what you binge on; for me its bread. So I cut out bread. I then do the fist size thing. A fist size of protien, a fist size of carbs and a hand cup shape of fruit/veg per meal. It seems to work.

jaz236 · 26/05/2008 14:02

hmmmm i will try that one starting tomorrow, although i havent had any bread today but a low fat bag of crisps instead! - you have lost loads of weight aswell is this what you did??

chocolatespiders · 26/05/2008 14:03

i have had an awful weekend food wise and i hate myself for it >>> why do i do it....

have got my hynosis tomorrow and i so need it..... fingers crossed it helps

Pinions · 26/05/2008 14:08

I have lost approx 6 stone in the last 12 months so yes it can be done and all pretty painless .

The answer for me was exercise, exercise and then more exercise. And being really good with what I eat of course. It can be done, good luck !

mamalovesmojitos · 26/05/2008 14:14

oh my god pinions six blardy stone??? well done!!!!!

sorry was just reading thread, total hijack, but had to congratulate. what motivated you to begin?

Pinions · 26/05/2008 14:41

I put on a lot of weight with ds1 and knew at some point there would be another dc, so absolutely no motivation at all to work hard and lose the weight. After having ds2, no more babies, so that was it, time for action!

Have never looked back.
