Team RH - has anyone actually been visited by a debt collector

RowansMammy · 28/05/2024 18:21

Has anyone used Team RH and had a bad experience or had debt collectors at the door? I used the app for 1 day. Total scam and mis sold. Only after waiving your right to the 14 day cooling off period, creating a direct debit, does it tell you to download my fitness pal which is free and clunky. It did all the work.

I used team RH for 1 day and tried to cancel to be told no. There is no way I'm paying for a 12 month contract for a service I used for one day. I don't follow the plan, I don't take any notice of the goals I've been set. I'd rather be fat to be honest.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has actually had debt collectors come to the door or is it just the bully emails and calls? has anyone experienced anything?

It was me that originally asked if anyone had balliffs at their door as like you I was really worried. Took everyone’s advice, ignored all the threatening emails. Not heard anymore for weeks. Please don’t give them anymore payments. He is just a bully, yet some people that subscribe to him treat him like a god, they will soon see the change in him if they try to cancel subscription. Be brave!

Everyone should email watchdog or rip off Britain. If they get a few emails they’ll have to take notice and do something with

So I have now received my first email from them, I have to say I thought it might be more professional than this...

A friend I spoke to did suggest replying to any emails I got telling them I have been in touch with citizens advice (I haven't) just to scare them a little, as many of you have suggested I am thinking just to block their emails?

Quoted to add... should I legit "warning" email come with an unsubscribe option...? 🤔

Theyve definitely had legal advice to write their T&C’s they are not amateurs.

Carock · 01/12/2024 15:06

I don’t know why they keep talking shit about credit scores - THEY CANT AFFECT YOUR CREDIT SCORE!

Richie is too arrogant to listen to good advice anyway.

So has anyone actually got away without paying?

I signed up and didn't realise it was a minimum 12 months, which is crazy because all diet things you can leave anytime!! Anyway the plan doesnt work for me, physically can't eat that amount of calories and they don't help at all!!

Tonight I've cancelled my direct debit, so just wanted to know if anyone actually has ended up paying the full amount (plus fees etc) or taken to court?

Thanks!

Barrenfieldoffucks · 15/12/2024 21:57

I think most people have. He can't enforce it.

Block all emails addresses and profiles etc.

WithAliceAforethought · 15/12/2024 22:19

@Pinksparkle0782 for the love of good woman, PLEASE read the thread

No not one single person has been taken to court by this imbecile. Just block him and forget about him

You might have seen some of my recent posts! Just like you i didn't realise, I cancelled my direct debit as soon as I got notification of it. I got the one email that I posted a photo of which seemed weirdly unprofessional, I ignored it and hit the unsubscribe button, that was about 2 weeks ago now I'd say, and so far I've heard nothing since. Nothing in my junk mail either. I'm fully expecting another email eventually, but as of yet nothing.

The annoying thing for me is I'm still stressed about it wondering how far they would take it but it seems like nobody has ever had more than a few emails! 🤷‍♀️

RowansMammy · 16/12/2024 06:38

I used it for 1 day and cancelled my DD in may. I’ve heard nothing. My partner got 2 emails in his junk folder. I’ve not had any phone calls or threats. It’s very hit and miss for people.

everyone is safe to cancel without fear. Just ignore any messages.

You would have been within the two week cooling off period.

They don't have a cooling off period it's in the t&c's

I saw that and then looked at their T&C’s and it contradicted. I think they say if you’ve not used the app.

That's correct as soon as you log into it

RowansMammy · 16/12/2024 08:24

When I used it, they prompted me to download their app, only after that they said you had to sync to my fitness pal. They have another app now but you can’t use one without the other. After one day it was just a hassle using 2 apps.

there are people in this thread who have cancelled after the 14 days and still nothing has happened.

its just a con and they are only interested in money. They intimidate and bully to get people to pay for the 12 month term if they want to cancel.

I'm now at slimming world. Far better for me and the app is decent

OP posts:
SunQueen24 · 16/12/2024 09:38

I just paid the £20 to end my term as it wasn’t worth the hassle. If I’d seen this thread sooner into the term I’d have cancelled sooner. I was basically collating data from 2 diff sources, MFP and then my garmin (steps and exercise) and it was just an admin exercise. Totally pointless app.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/12/2024 14:44

I gave up on the shouty arsehole when he was seriously advising people to weigh bananas before and after opening them, and if you were eg taking a banana to work, to weigh it before leaving in the morning, and then take the skin home and weigh that. Because just googling “number of calories in a banana” is so wildly inaccurate and it would cause your entire weekly tracking to be wrong and that’s why you’re still fat!

For real 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Does anyone have any updates on this? I canceled my DD in May and still nothing from them. I've had a look on Trust Pilot, loads of new negative reviews. I'm surprised they are still in business

OP posts:
Freyagillian · 10/02/2025 14:42

I got all sorts of threatening emails then a letter but took everyone’s advice and ignored them and heard nothing more. That’s was about 5 months ago. I know it’s not easy to ignore as he is very threatening in his words but trust everyone on here.

RowansMammy · 10/02/2025 19:38

Has anyone been on the team rh LinkedIn page? It’s actually sickening. Like it’s a great place to work. Meanwhile they are fleecing people left right and centre.
