Anyone want a weight loss buddy to obsess with?

I need to lose a stone. I can’t be stout any more. I tend to do well with a bit of daily accountability so anyone up for a weight loss buddy to commiserate, support and obsess with?! Starting Monday obvs. 😬

Right, I'm in!

My starting weight is 75kg and I ideally will get down to 65kg.

My first goal is 70kg.

I lost 3kg in a month doing 5:2 before, so I need to get back on that! I'm going to start hopefully with a personal trainer in the next few weeks also.

Best of luck everyone!

hottchocolatte · 14/04/2024 20:47

Yes 🙋🏻‍♀️

I want to lose about half a stone but seem to go up and down, up and down...

Haven't tried anything drastic, less fast food and cake and chocolate, move more

thenewaveragebear1983 · 14/04/2024 21:00

I just ordered fast like a girl on eBay, it’s quite pricey!

It was £10 on eBay but 26 on Amazon to buy new! I can’t listen to audiobooks because I don’t concentrate!

Even a tenner is expensive! I hope you find it useful!

I would love to join too 2 children + stress eating I need to hold myself accountable and I think this would really help me ,
I’ll take measurements in morning but I’d like to lose a stone.
Ive been going to the gym when I can but makes no difference when I go home and raid the cupboards 🤣🤣 X

Aileen1992 · 15/04/2024 07:50

Decided to leave breakfast till later in the morning , do yous eat breakfast? what do you find helps ? What do yous eat? I usually go for porridge on weekdays but I will maybe try a fruit salad or something after

Ch4ng3dn4m3 · 15/04/2024 09:47

Morning all. Well I've just weighed in at 9st9.2. I think my target Is 9 stone , at least it Is for now. Is anyone doing measurements too?

For breakfast this morning I've had special k with semi skimmed milk and green tea. I will be increasing my water intake (aiming for at least 2000) as it normally shows on the scales in the first week and gives me the boost I need to get started.

Exercise wise today I am starting T 25 beta and will be doing week 3 run 2 in c25k.

It's my shopping day today so going to get lots of yummy salady bits to eat. It's also pizza day today, but I will factor that in in my calorie counting.

@Aileen1992 I eat breakfast, either special k or salmon, eggs and asparagus but I find once I've eaten it I want to keep on eating so on days I can will leave it til later.

Dinodrivingacar · 15/04/2024 09:55

Weighed in at 9.11 this morning. Thought I'd be more! Goal is 8.7

Dinodrivingacar · 15/04/2024 10:00

I had cornflakes for breakfast. Think I'll just do calorie counting this week and some gentle exercise after yesterdays Marathon. Then really start next Monday.

I’m the same I find if I eat to early I will be hungry all day- strange so I’ve left it later , at the gym now so will weigh in here

Gottleogear · 15/04/2024 11:09

10st 13.2lbs this morning a pound on from last week 🙈

Did a 3k run on the treadmill and a 45min Spin class this morning.

I'm not eating until after 12. Then I'll have a chicken breast with salad and a splash of balsamic vinegar for lunch
Making homemade beef (leftovers from yesterday) & vegetable soup for dinner. Will try and abstain from snacking later 🤞😂

Aileen1992 · 15/04/2024 11:15

ok So I weighed in at 11 stone 5lb which is like 3lb up on last week , I haven’t been strict with myself at all but I’m back on track today!

you are so prepared I need to start and be more prepared too! I have went and got 2 ready meals before work for my lunch and dinner as I am in work till late tonight!

im glad im not the only one who finds eating in the morning impacts their day !

thenewaveragebear1983 · 15/04/2024 12:21

I always have overnight oats which I make a few days in advance. 40g oats, 150g skyr, scoop of protein powder, frozen berries. It’s really tasty and filling. It comes in around 400 calories and nearly 40g protein. If I ate cereal or toast I’d be gnawing my arm off by 10am.

Hevalison · 15/04/2024 12:27

Can I join please? I've been a constant lurker, however just booked a last minute holiday in 40 days and I get married in 390!! eek.

I'm starting today on 16:8 with calorie counting, increasing water consumption and trying to hit those 10k steps alongside gym.

SW: 11 st 3 (15/04) - heaviest i have ever been at 5 ft 4
CW: 11st 3
GW: 10st

So excited to be able to talk with you guys to keep accountability!

GreatBritishBeakOff · 15/04/2024 12:43

Afternoon all. So I did the dreaded weigh in. 10 st 11 lbs. Oh dear….
But onward! I think I’m going to set myself little targets. But my main philosophy is going to be if I eat it, I record it and then report back! No fudging the figures or lying to myself. Wish me luck! 🙈

SW 10.11
Target 1 10.7
2 10.3
3 9.13
GW 9.9

Hello to everyone today. All the best with your journeys downwards.

Here :
SW: 75kg / 11st 12lbs
CW: 69kg / 10st 13lbs
GW: 64kg / 10st 1lb

I'm going to be mixing low carb with IF including from time to time 5:2 and walking. I'm going on holiday mid May and I'd love to have made a big in-roads towards my goal.

Got off on the right foot today - having my first meal now - tomato salad with capers and mozzarella followed by greek yoghurt.

Looking forwards to reading you all.

I love overnight oats but again I’m better leaving them later in the morning to eat them , also must try with protein powder in it x

Misspacorabanne · 15/04/2024 13:56

Hi all, I weighed this morning, 10 stone 3. So ideally like to lose a stone or just over!
so far today I’m doing ok, it’s a family members birthday tomorrow so we are eating out, just normal pub food!! (Just wondering what I can eat that will do the least damage 🙈) Trying not to snack today, easier now kids are at school and not constantly asking me for snacks, but also this is only day one, so know I’ll find it harder to avoid the sweet treats as I go! Hope every one else is getting on ok.

Ch4ng3dn4m3 · 15/04/2024 14:32

I've already done so well today and it's definitely about being accountable on here so thank you so much @GreatBritishBeakOff for starting the new thread. I have had no snacks besides a handful of blueberries and cherry toms. I nearly ate a leftover sausage roll (it would have been at least 2) but managed to refrain and froze them instead.

Good luck everyone we can do this!

LaraCooper · 15/04/2024 15:10

Me please, can I join you please? I weight 72kg and I would like to weight 54-58kg ( I'm very short).

Lilo08 · 15/04/2024 20:03

weight this morning was 10st 1.1 and ate my first meal at 2pm. Was a special meal out so had Thai green curry.
just had my last meal of muesli with Greek yogurt
oh and did have coffee in the morning with a splash of milk.
Hoping to get to 9st

well done everyone!!

GreatBritishBeakOff · 15/04/2024 22:18

Welcome all! So happy for so many buddies to obsess with! My day:

pasta salad 500
Cereal Bar 150
Broccoli and lentil soup 450
Tea 100

1200 cals
And tbh I’m full. So I don’t need all that food I’ve been shoving in. I think unless it’s a dinner I really fancy or I can tweak to make low calorie I’m going to eat soup. It’s cheap, nutritious, low cal, filling. What’s not to like!

Anyone gave tips on how to manage milk in tea. I’m determined not to sabotage myself with stupid shit like not counting milk this time. I estimated today!
