Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

I'll join, might motivate me! Had a baby 8 months ago and have more weight than ever on me!

SpreadHummusNotHate · 15/04/2024 09:00

0.5 loss this morning which is ok!

SW 12st10
CW 12st6.5
TW 11st7

Small win last night, husband went to get some chocolate from the fridge whilst we were watching tv and I turned it down!!

just walked 2 miles in hideous sideways rain with the dog, huge change from the lovely weekend we had but at least I got some steps in

Gensola · 15/04/2024 09:00

Gym this morning, haven’t weighed as had pasta last night and I know the carbs will have sucked in water.

DH birthday dinner today - we are doing posh tapas so hoping not to overdo it.

Hiddendoor · 15/04/2024 09:42

@Sparticle good reminder- I've got that Allen Carr book too! I read it a few years ago (2018 i think) when I first stopped eating (added) sugar and I was successful, but then just gave in just after Easter 2020. Lockdown did me in.

I might see if I still have it somewhere...

TrustPenguins · 15/04/2024 10:02

Please can I join?
Though I have 6 weeks before my holiday and want to lose 3lbs.
Sounds totally doable right???!
What are your top tips?
I definitely think I need to cut down on my snacking and increase drinking water...

StickyStones · 15/04/2024 12:26

Wow, lots of great progress over the weekend. I daren't weigh myself this morning...

Feeling starving today for some reason :(

Mum5net · 15/04/2024 12:52

We are an army of 53 now thanks to @sugarbyebye @CommeIlFaut @Imisscoffee2021 and @TrustPenguins
Some 'marvellous momentum' going on in our new world and definitely some perseverance in play...

Fantastic @SpreadHummusNotHate ! Late night act of will 👏🏼
loveky for more people to join !

mdinbc · 15/04/2024 20:42

Good Monday to you all. I did my weigh in and have lost approx 2-3 lbs this week. I've been doing meal replacement smoothie (Almased) x 2 meals, then a proper dinner with no snacks. It's definitely getting boring, but I will stick to it until the end of the week. It's a bit easier since DH has gone on a fishing trip so I am just on my own this week.

I did make myself a nice dinner of quinoa salad and scallops, and tonight plan roasted butternut squash, chicken and green beans.

Mum5net · 16/04/2024 07:18

Tiny bits of progress but been around this weight for four days now.
OW: 65.0 kg
CW: 63.2 kg
GW: 60.0 kg but really 58.0 kg
it does mean I’ve broken into the ‘9’s which is good but it is a slog to actually go down rather than maintain. Have now officially removed my size 14 jeans out my drawers as too big. Little victories.

Beatrixslobber · 16/04/2024 07:28

@Mum5net that’s a big victory! Well done.

I was so tired last night was in bed by 8. It was still light outside! I can’t go to the gym this morning as my car is in the garage but will go for a long walk after work.

HoneyMobster · 16/04/2024 07:50

Well done @Mum5net - the last stretch was always going to be slow going. I think looking at the trend rather than just numbers is the way to go. Happy Scale is good for that.

I'm a bit static as well. But have started a 4 week plan for another 10k on 12 May. Running with DS1 and DD in their university town.

Mum5net · 16/04/2024 10:34

@Beatrixslobber thank you, I think though good amounts of sleep are essential although never practice what I preach, but funny to go to bed when it was daylight...
@HoneyMobster the trend is definitely the way to go. I've been too busy juggling stuff to research my scale purchase. Great strategy to run with DC. I couldn't keep up with mine as they all walk much faster than I do, so running would be even worse. However, it's a great way to see their university town and check out their haunts.

Can I join? I get married in September and want to lose a stone.
I have lost a pound this past week so have made a good start. No particular diet as such but have 'eat less move more' on a constant cycle in my head.
Stats
5 foot 6
SW 10 St 11
CW 10 St 10
GW 9st 10 (ideally 9st 7 but will take 9st10!!)

Bubbleswithsqueak · 16/04/2024 11:50

Did an early weigh in and 0.8kg down in 10 days. But tomorrow I am off to a conference for 5 days where all food is likely to be beige carbs. Taking two bags of nuts. Wish me luck!

SW (6.4.24) 73kg
CW (16.4.24) 72.2 kg
TW (?) 63kg

Have fun at the conference - will there be lots of freebies to collect? Grin

When I'm at confs I have been known to take all the cherry tomato garnish to get some vaguely healthy food together. So if there is fruit or salad, aim for that? I have also in the past found that conference venue staff can be super helpful if you ask them if there's anything else you can eat. And if all else fails, you could say you have specific dietary requirements eg vegan which might be better..? Good luck :)

Mum5net · 16/04/2024 14:08

Welcome @boogalooshrimp, you take the no 54 bib. Very happy to announce you are our third bride-to-be. We can happily host a 'brides' sub group as well as Ring Girls, rowers, runners, gym bunnies, and cyclists.

Anyone else worked out that chewable vitamins (raspberry flavour) all taste like Barratt's Refreshers?
Just saying, as for once I am totally maxed out with my Vitamins C, D and B12, and they don't officially count on my 16:8 and my no sugar policy...

Good luck at the conference @Bubbleswithsqueak .
I find it stressful not having food autonomy at events like that.

I'm just enjoying a hot cross bun and a cup of tea before the kids get back from school. First time I've been alone in the house since before Easter! 🙌

Bubbleswithsqueak · 16/04/2024 15:12

Thanks @Sparticle and @WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis
No freebies at the conference, unfortunately, just looooonnnnngggg days.
I am really worried about lack of protein - a carb heavy diet just makes me so hungry. I've just looked again and I think it might be entirely vegetarian food! Not sure how I'll manage without meat and salad.

Sparticle · 16/04/2024 15:46

That’s an interesting sounding conference! I’m pescatarian so would love that as normally it’s all meat 😁

Sparticle · 16/04/2024 15:46

And what’s a conference without freebies. Rubbish 😭

WhoKnowsWhatToDoWithThis · 16/04/2024 16:32

@Bubbleswithsqueak I'd probably take some apples and nuts with me, in case of snack emergencies!

Beatrixslobber · 16/04/2024 17:03

@Bubbleswithsqueak surely there will be salad?

@Mum5net chewable vitamins gummies really upset my tummy which is annoying. It’s like a little sweet that is good for you.

Beatrixslobber · 16/04/2024 17:04

Why has my post been hidden? Immediately after posting! 😂

justsaxy · 16/04/2024 21:37

Can I join? Am 105 kilos, 175cm, 45 y.o.

Have been using Saxenda (and it's working!) but need to pluck up the courage to get on the rowing machine I bought myself.

Also doing IF but need to be more scientific about it, I think... (tend to not eat between 8pm and 10am but don't really keep records).
