Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

That's exciting @notzoe - weighing daily I'm struck by just how much fluctuation there is. 6oz could disappear in a day!

FlutteryButterfly · 23/05/2024 21:56

I've been on a mini break- 5 days All Inclusive. I absolutely did not go overboard, skipped breakfast had baguettes/salads at lunch and then a la carte meal at dinner. No snacking but did have a fair bit of booze. Walked a lot though! Will not be weighing this week as I get very deflated when I see the scales rise (who doesn't?) so have got back on it and will weigh in again next week so that I've had a chance to try and shift the likely gain I've made.

Itdjgsurchg · 24/05/2024 09:29

Weigh in day for me:

start weight: 11st 7
goal weight: 9st 12
todays weight: 10 st 12

Put on a couple of pound the last couple of weeks but have lost them again. I feel like I’m going around in circles, losing then putting on the same couple of pounds over and over. I’m going to really concentrate on eating decent food and calorie counting so I’m not getting hungry then bingeing from now on. Perhaps more protein because I’m weight lifting. My sister’s wedding is in 5 weeks so I know I’m not going to get a radical loss by then so aiming for my holiday at the end of July.

It’s fascinating isn’t it! I am so enjoying weighing daily. Last year I went to a PT who only ‘let’ me weigh monthly but this just works so much better for me.

It sounds like you made very sensible choices while away which is easier said than done so hats off to you. It’s so easy just to say screw it on holiday and do a lot of damage. I’d do the same as you and give myself a week or so before weighing I think.

Fab loss so far! I may have asked you this before but what height are you? Our starting weight, current weight and goal weights are pretty similar so I’m always intrigued by what height others are to see if I’m roughly aiming for where I should be. I’m 5’7 and SW was 11.6 CW 11 and GW 10. Would love to see a 9 but just don’t know if I will manage it.

Weigh day for me too today and I’ve lost 0.2lbs since yesterday so sitting at 11 stone 0.4. I don’t usually weigh over the weekend and tend to see a wee increase on a Monday which then disappears as I lose more over the course of the week. Monday is a bank holiday though so it could all go wrong.

Sorry for so many posts I need to learn how to quote more than one in one post.

CommeIlFaut · 24/05/2024 12:05

Well done to all the losers (especially those who have eaten sensibly on holiday!)

Weigh in day for me:

SW. 65.5 kg
CW 61.6 kg
TW 58kg

in December, I bought a skirt on Vinted and, despite it being my usual size I could not do it up around the middle. That felt really depressing. Anyway, after five weeks of eating, upping my exercise et cetera, I tried to today and it beautifully!

I haven’t found losing weight as difficult as I thought I would, in fact I feel so much better being a bit lighter, eating healthier and just being more active. I set my target weight at 60 kg, which was what I was during lockdown but I’m now setting it to 58 kg which was my pre-lockdown weight which I really think I could get to the summer.

StickyStones · 24/05/2024 13:27

Some fabulous losses on here, well done to the losers, you must be so proud. It takes hard work and a lot of determination to lose weight. And yes, very impressed with @FlutteryButterfly managing not to overdo it on an all inclusive trip!

I'm quietly trying but not making great progress, I've 2lbs lost in one month which is pretty crap. Doesn't look like I'll reach my target weight for my mid-July holiday but another 2/3lbs would make a huge difference. I'm at the high end of my normal BMI which I think makes it harder to lose. Less motivation of course as well.

Itdjgsurchg · 24/05/2024 13:36

@notzoe thanks. I’m 5ft 6. I used to be 9st 4 but after my second baby I struggled to get under 10 stone. Since then I’ve got stuck in a cycle of losing a couple of pound then putting it back on plus more, getting heavier and heavier each time. I wish I’d just stayed at 10st! I’m hoping this time I can stick to it with a lifestyle change but think my body was happy at 10st so I’m not going to go too much lower than that. I

HoneyMobster · 25/05/2024 12:20

NSV! I've been bra shopping and have gone down from 34D to 32C. I was a 32D when I got married and was the same weight but I'm afraid DS1 (22) fed constantly for 6 months and is to blame for the shrinkage. I may tell him that when I see him later.

Overnight in a hotel last night and largely resisted the temptations of the buffet breakfast. Filled up on berries, soya protein milk and granola and nice coffee. DH got our money's worth though 😂

.

Gensola · 25/05/2024 13:13

@StickyStones im the same, BMI is 23 and it’s super slow losing now. Sigh

Sparticle · 25/05/2024 16:12

Hi all, a week at my DMum's tracking on nutracheck and not snacking (and sadly not eating my DH's lovely cooking...) and I weighed 9.13 this morning.

So that's only 2lb in a month but it's actually been more like 2lbs just in the last week which is good.
I'm hoping it's given me a break from the habit of eating crisps and other snacks in the evenings.

StickyStones · 25/05/2024 16:46

@Sparticle I've only lost 2lb in one month too. Argh.

@HoneyMobster I am so jealous of the boob shrinkage! I've been trying on clothes today for an event I've to go to and I'm so sick of my boobs! They're a 32DD and everything looks awful on me. I'd love to get down to a D.

@Gensola I wish I was at 23! Mine is at 24.5 or something

Sparticle · 25/05/2024 21:44

Slow and steady @StickyStones!

Re:boobs, I've always been small so can't afford to lose anything off my chest tbh 😅
My weight is mainly round my middle, I'm very much a pear body shape.

notzoe · 27/05/2024 10:30

Anyone weigh this morning? Sneaky 1.4lb gain for me which hopefully will be gone by tomorrow but I might be going out for a meal tonight … so possibly not Grin

Hope you’re all having a lovely bank holiday weekend!

HoneyMobster · 27/05/2024 11:21

Had an all time low of 8 stone 10.6 lbs yesterday but back 'up' this morning to 8 stone 11.2 lbs. Feeling very content as an unforgiving denim skirt fits beautifully today.

5K run and yoga completed this morning. I think lots of exercise is leading to less fat / more muscle - so my shape is changing without weight loss. Which is what I'm aiming for.

Love a Bank Holiday. Our for a dog walk and off to the theatre tonight. Will try to avoid the interval snacks.

Sparticle · 27/05/2024 19:00

Hi all, went out yesterday for lunch with the family and did pretty well and again today but did less well.

I've brought the DCs back with me to DM's and they are going to be fetching and carrying for her all week. I hope I don't slip back into bad habits when it's just DH and me at home for a few days. I can almost hear the wine and Pringles calling me... Confused

StickyStones · 27/05/2024 20:01

@notzoe I weighed this morning and I'm also up again. I had steak last night and I always weigh more the day after that kind of food.

But...I got out for a run today and my plan is no exercise tomorrow, run on Thursday and Friday. Hopefully stay healthy in between.

Only 6 weeks to my holiday! Need to be strong 💪

StickyStones · 27/05/2024 20:01

@Sparticle crisps and wine is my weakness, I feel your pain

6 weeks till mine too! We can do this.

Bubbleswithsqueak · 28/05/2024 07:01

I don't post very often on here, but I do read, and it's really helping me to stay motivated and consistent with food, so thank you to everyone who is still going!
Really need to start doing some form of exercise, but work is incredibly busy and I am struggling to find time and motivation. Also had a nasty virus, which isn't helping.
But the good news is that I had stalled (despite sticking to low carb and 16:8), but scales have very very slowly begun to move downwards again.
SW: 73kg
(went down to 71.4, then back up to 72 at one point)
CW: 71.2
TW: 63

StickyStones · 28/05/2024 10:06

I wouldn't worry too much about exercise @Bubbleswithsqueak it's all about the food. I find exercising is good for keeping me in the diet mindset more than anything.

notzoe · 28/05/2024 11:36

Sad gain of 1.4lbs this morning after a meal out last night. I haven’t eaten anywhere near enough to have genuinely gained that weight so I am hoping most of it will be gone tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

On the subject of exercise I don’t do much other than the odd walk but was considering setting myself a June challenge to do a walk every day or something.

Mum5net · 28/05/2024 12:34

Two egg scrambled egg and pea lunch. Five yolks. Result 😉

Ten weeks to be more marvellous. Lose 5 kg or 10 lbs by July 1

It’s taken me till today to get back to Fridays weight Sad
Who would have thought so much damage could be done in one bank holiday weekend!!

So I need a decent loss tomorrow on my official weigh day to not feel like I’m a full week behind schedule.

How are you all getting on?
