Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

Morning all! New day, new start!

I am honestly quite happy with having stayed the same this week. I'm currently on the train dahn sarf for a couple of days visiting various offices so another joyous night in a premier inn tonight! Will have to have a Google for healthy eating options.

Exercise-wise, if anyone fancies joining a challenge app called Motion, let me know. It takes all your exercise tracking, whatever it is, and you can challenge other people to get to or past the activity point target it sets you I'm not explaining it very well but if you want to get your activity up, let me know and I'll try to work out how to send invitations. It's free :)

Have a great day everyone!

notzoe · 13/05/2024 09:40

Well done Sparticle, staying the same after the weekend is always a win I think. I hope you manage to find somewhere delicious but not too damaging to eat while you’re away.

6oz on for me but I am hoping they’ll be gone by tomorrow. I’m hoping to see 11 stone 3.something on the scales by Friday.

HoneyMobster · 13/05/2024 12:46

Good work @Sparticle - I am also staying steady. 15 days just under 9 stone 🏆

Ran a 10k yesterday with my two eldest DC and got a PB by one second 😂 Happy with that as it was a hot day.

Feeling my way with maintenance. Aiming for about 1500 calories but not counting religiously - allowing lattes if I fancy one and small sensible snacks.

notzoe · 14/05/2024 13:11

11.5 this morning as accidentally went for ice cream last night. Oops! Still hoping to be around 11.3 by the end of the week though.

StickyStones · 14/05/2024 16:38

I haven't weighed myself in days which always means I've fallen off the wagon! 😩

notzoe · 15/05/2024 08:01

11 stone 3.4 this morning so have hit my Friday target early however there’s every chance I am back up by Friday.

Period started this morning so not sure how that will affect weight for the next week or so.

Mum5net · 15/05/2024 09:31

Been on a journey this past seven days... Posted last week I could see a thinner face. Well, real life came calling and by Sunday I was back up 1.5kg and 63.0kg. My face was a picture!
So it's been a bit of a slog ever since. Lots of relative stuff going on as distraction but this morns I was 61.7kg, so I'm back on track, just a week in the wilderness. Worryingly, all I think I did differently was not go my 1.5 hr daily dog walk for two days and scoffed two Costco oranges and a M&S bakery muffin.
Hat's off to everyone keeping on keeping off, though.. I guess we have roughly seven weeks to get the marvellousness feeling. We need more sunshine.
@StickyStones the wagon is a pretty uncomfortable ride. Easy to take a corner too quickly. I'm sending a virtual A5 Audi Coupe to pick you up and take you down the road.

<hops into fancy car> thank you for the lift @Mum5net!

well...I needn't have been so worried, I've actually lost 1lb! Honestly there is no rhyme nor reason to my weight loss. It seems to happen in fits and starts.

I checked myfitnesspal and I was the exact weight I am right now this time last May. I went on to lose another 6lbs before my holiday last year so I'm hoping I'll follow the same pattern again. We're not doing all-inclusive this time around so I'm hoping it will be harder to undo all my good work.

My dieting is like a merry-go-round: each year I diet and exercise like mad from about March to July, I kind of stay at it until about November and then all hell breaks loose and I'm back to square 1 by February!

Anyone else on a similar perpetual diet/not diet cycle?

You probably have a bit of water weight @Mum5net it's not possible for a couple of treats to make you gain so much, I'm sure it'll come back off again.

Awesome on the PB @HoneyMobster ! what was your time? I'm soooo slow.

Brilliant progress @notzoe you might even lose more before Friday, fingers crossed.

@Sparticle sounds like an interesting app. I have an applewatch and I think it gives the option to share your activity with friends, I don't use it though. I've been a bit of a slug the last week so I wouldn't have much to share :)

Sparticle · 15/05/2024 18:23

@StickyStones just let me know if you change your mind. I'm currently a slug here too!

notzoe · 16/05/2024 12:15

Great news you had lost a pound after all Sticky!

I stayed the same this morning so hopefully will again tomorrow and that’s this weeks goal reached.

Hiddendoor · 16/05/2024 13:55

I've been awol but still on it. As I'm not weighing, I'm having to rely on clothes fitting better and there is finally a little bit of space there. I cam also see my face is a little thinner and I've got a bit more definition in my arms. Hoorah!

well done everyone on not just the losses but the NSVs and just generally keeping at it.

notzoe · 17/05/2024 08:55

Anyone weighing today? I am thrilled as goal for this week was 11 stone 3.something but an 11 stone 2.4 so have lost a pound since yesterday! Just need to make sure it doesn’t go back on over the weekend now.

Paintedhat · 17/05/2024 12:27

well done everyone!

I fell off the wagon for a few weeks (more like completely wrote it off!) but this past week I’ve managed to get from 9 stone 3 to 9 stone 08 so not too bad. I think I may aim for 8 stone 10 as my final goal for July.

notzoe · 17/05/2024 13:13

Fantastic! Hopefully the loss will help you along this week.

StickyStones · 17/05/2024 13:37

I weigh on a Friday @notzoe but I didn't lose anything today. I've been sick this week so my dieting hasn't been amazing and I haven't had a chance to exercise.

StickyStones · 17/05/2024 13:37

well done @Paintedhat ! that's a decent drop.

Hope you feel better soon!

Cherryblossom81 · 18/05/2024 11:51

Hi all. Well done to everyone for the loses and other victories.

I seem to be completely stuck on the same weight. I'd really like to lose a few pounds in the next few weeks. I signed up for Nutracheck a couple of weeks ago (as thought maybe I wasn't tracking correctly) and have been under my calories every day, so hoping I will lose something soon! I'm trying to be patient as I know it will be slow as I'm short and already at a 'healthy weight'.

However, I am feeling so** hungry today! I usually do IF and don't normally eat until about 1pm. But I was so hungry, that I had to have some breakfast at around 10am and I feel hungry again now!

HoneyMobster · 18/05/2024 14:44

@Cherryblossom81 - shifting weight we you don't have much to lose is hard. Even staying the same weight is a challenge. It sounds like you might need to listen to your body today and tomorrow and refocus after that?

Still weighing in under 9 stone, which is a big achievement for me.18 days consistently 🏆

Interesting to get two separate comments from friends this week about me looking 'skinny'. I think it's because they aren't used to me being smaller. I'm honestly not 'skinny' - slap bang in the middle of weight range for my height.

Cherryblossom81 · 18/05/2024 16:47

Thank you @HoneyMobster. Yes, I'm trying to listen to my body today (but with good, nutritious food to hopefully avoid a gain).

Well done for consistently staying under 9 stone.

(No idea why there was ** after the word 'so' in my last post?!)

notzoe · 18/05/2024 17:34

Not much chance of a loss for me come Monday. This nice weather has meant ice cream!!

Bubbleswithsqueak · 19/05/2024 18:16

Well done to everyone on your losses. I am feeling slightly despondent - I have been low carbing and sticking to it, plus no breakfast, and when having to eat carbs due to travelling (and lack of available low carb food) have stayed under 1500 calories. And I'm back up to 72kg.
Ah well... Hopefully it will start to shift if I stick at it.

SW: 73kg
PW (previous weight!): 71.4kg
CW: 72kg
TW: 63kg

notzoe · 19/05/2024 20:20

Stick with it Bubbles and eventually it has to come off. Have you worked out your TDEE to make sure you’re not eating too many calories?

I can’t decide whether to weigh tomorrow. I’ve been weighing daily during the week but I know I have overdone it with little things here and there this weekend so might wait until later in the week to weigh again when I’ve hopefully undone some damage.

zebranotzeebra · 19/05/2024 20:24

Evening all, haven't caught up on all the posts yet, but just posting quickly to make myself accountable again! After a great few weeks, I hit a stressful patch and fell off the wagon somewhat. On the plus side, I had my dress fitting last week and it fitted well so I'm not too worried about that any more but I'd still like to feel better in myself before the big day! I have just under two months so all is not lost, just my motivation 😅

Going to try to keep up with the thread better as it's so good for motivation to know others are in it too!

zebranotzeebra · 19/05/2024 20:26

@notzoe ice cream is my weakness too, I apparently cannot leave the house on a sunny day without buying one! Have had far too many in the last couple of weeks 🤭
