Welcome one and all. Need a few online chums doing the same. No rules. Do it the way it suits and post as often as you like.
I'm currently trying to get from 65.0 kg to 60.kg and losing 1lb or 500g a week. (have come down from 69.1kg). I have a FitBit, and use the Happy Scales app and had planned to up my step count but the incessant rain is not helping. Doing 10 stomach crunches a day from TODAY. (165 cm / 5'5"). Very happy to have your company and steal your ideas and suggestions.

@HoneyMobster how does it measure your fat composition though?? I thought that could only be done with calipers. RenPho sounds like voodoo!

Hiddendoor · 24/04/2024 14:01

@Sparticle just checked back in! I have a Bodymax possible r40 machine. I got it just over a year ago for about £320. It's fairly basic but does what I need it to.

Hiddendoor · 24/04/2024 14:03

Just checking in. I've been moving a bit more and not eating biscuits or cake or sweets for...three weeks? I think I can see a difference, slightly less bloated anyway. Will keep going.

Mum5net · 24/04/2024 18:10

Lots of marvellous-ness going on...
Official welcomes to @themarina and @ElleDeeCB nos 58 and 59 although we may have lost a few...
Dropping in here from my holiday escape, 350 miles from home and the weather is worse...
No scales/ measuring in my AirBnB but I doubt if I'm losing with all the pub visits.
Tonight is healthy grey mullet and green veg but I had a Waitrose roast beef and onion sandwich at lunchtime ( so I could visit their loos)...
@ElleDeeCB your posts made me think of a much younger me. 8.3 in my 20s 8.11 in my 30s and now that I am metric I am all over the place ... last weigh in was 62.7 kg

I was feeling pretty good about my weight loss and then tried some clothes on today and I just looked like a potato. I seem to have no discernible waist at all!
I'm 5 foot 7 so it's not as if I'm huge but just felt really deflated today.
I'm going on a girls holiday in 2 months and want to feel good about myself.
I'm definitely going to be stricter with the diet and exercise.
I'm posting this for accountability more than anything else.

But that could've been the clothes - put some of your favourite things on and see if feel better! Don't be downhearted - every little step counts!

@HoneyMobster I had a read about how the RenPho scales work, technology never ceases to amaze me. I like the sound of them but I'm hesitant to give another corporation more health information about myself! my DH is such sceptic about these things and sadly it's rubbing off on me.

What I ate today wasn't at all what I planned but hopefully I haven't gone over:
Coffee x 2
2 boiled eggs
1 double burger from a local fancy burger place. No fries or any sides so hopefully it's not more than 1000 calories!

StickyStones · 24/04/2024 19:46

I had a look online to try to estimate how many calories my burger was and apparently a 5 Guys double burger is 840 calories! considering mine had an onion ring and peppercorn sauce in it, I'd say it was very close to 1000. Yikes.

I’m going to bed and having a little reflective moment thinking about what I have achieved this month and feeling pretty darn chuffed. I can’t remember the last time I actually stuck to a weight loss attempt for this long. I know that for me not over restricting is what works but whatever method we are all doing it’s the consistency that makes the difference.

I think all of us should feel the same for still being here and chipping away, if we stick at it we will reach our goals 😁

HoneyMobster · 25/04/2024 09:04

@AdventureTravelDreamer - I line your thinking. I'm also feeling pleased with myself that something has clicked in my head and I'm the slimmest I've been in years (23+!).

My Mum died over Christmas and I have a hunch that her death and ill health triggered an 'if not now, than when?' response in me. In her later years she could barely walk and had smoked all her life. I don't mind getting old, I just don't want to be old and unhealthy.

Sparticle · 25/04/2024 09:08

Good encouragement @AdventureTravelDreamer ☺️

Well another week and another work journey. This time a 5 hour trip to Bristol with an overnight stay. I'm annoyed as I left my fruit and water bottle at home so I had to spend money on a coffee at Costa and the healthiest breakfast I could find - the Greek yogurt with compote and + granola for 238 kcals. Tbh it was really nice so not a bad choice hopefully.

No idea what I'll have for lunch and dinner but I've fired up the MFP app again so will hopefully keep an eye on what I scoff with that.

I've also got back into my Apple fitness+ this week after a few months of not doing it and I feel a lot happier. Will try to get a dance workout in tonight in the hotel room. Might have to be done naked as I've only got my work clothes with me 🤪

Have a good day all!

131 / 9 stone 5 today - officially lost a stone!

Paintedhat · 25/04/2024 13:37

Good to read how well you guys are doing!

I started at just over 11 stone in September and got down to 9.4 by Christmas, which was my first target. I slowly got to 9.08 in March and then had two long weekends away and edged back up to 9•3.8 (damn Easter eggs!!)
Have lost a pound this week so down to 9•2.8 but it’s been hard!!!! I’ve just started a new job and it’s only a few hours a day so I’m spending more time at home which means more access to food. 🥘 I used to walk a ton in my old job and haven’t quite kept that up so aiming to get back on track with that. I really want to get to 8.13 and then down to 8.7 though I think that may be pushing it a bit far!!! Keeping myself accountable by reading about everyone’s progress on here 😁

Sparticle · 25/04/2024 13:53

Got to the office and bought my lunch at a veggie food stall, feta frittata with salads. It was so nice I also got my dinner there for later - lentil and spicy veg pie and salads

Sparticle · 25/04/2024 13:54

No idea how to count the calories but it has to be better than a burger or pizza later, right?

Hiddendoor · 25/04/2024 16:27

I've just eaten my first chocolate bar (lindt) in about 3 weeks. Day 1 of period, decided not to ignore the craving as it would only be worse tonight.

Otherwise still happy with the general approach of no cakes, sweets, chocolates or biscuits.

Sparticle · 25/04/2024 19:06

Well done @Hiddendoor 😀

So my evening wasn't quite as healthy as I planned. There was a social event in the office with bingo plus pizza and beer so I had three small slices of dominos and a small peroni. I've left my food in the fridge that was for dinner to have for lunch tomorrow instead.

Going to see if I can get a workout in now on my hotel room...

What height are you? That’s an absolutely amazing loss! Well done.

Paintedhat · 25/04/2024 21:03

@notzoe Im 5ft5 - so medium height!

Beatrixslobber · 26/04/2024 06:20

I think I’m going backwards and undoing my hard work. I got carb munchies during my period. I’m so cross at myself.
I’m away this weekend so will allow myself to enjoy the food in moderation while away and I think we will do lots of walking but then Monday is back to strict fast 800.

Itdjgsurchg · 26/04/2024 06:38

No loss for me this week (Friday’s my weigh in day) but not surprised because I ate a whole Easter egg and a Chinese take away last night. Really annoyed with myself!!

current weight: 10st 12
start weight: 11st 7
goal: 10st 3 by the end of June

notzoe · 26/04/2024 08:23

I am a tiny bit taller so hopefully don’t need to aim for numbers quite as low as you’re at because I don’t think I can do it!

According to my fancy new scales I’ve lost 0.6lbs since yesterday. Still overweight though it says Sad

We’ve started at almost the same weight. I weighed for the first time yesterday and was 11st 6. How long has it taken you to lose that 9lbs? Well done!

Paintedhat · 26/04/2024 09:05

@notzoe There’s absolutely no logic behind my numbers!! It’s a weight I was when I was in my 20s. Probably not a realistic weight for my now mid forties body!!

Good job on your loss since yesterday! Always good to see the scales go down 😁
