Right. It's a fresh start for me. I've joined Slimming World for the 5th time back in August of last year. Didn't do too badly up until Christmas but since then I've been dreadful.
Just had my weigh in tonight and had a huge weight again over two weeks - missed weigh in last week. The small amount of weight I have lost since August last year is very quickly creeping back on again and I have to do something about it now.
Tomorrow is my new start. I have my food diary at the ready.

Here is a link that explainsFast Forward

I couldn't believe it when I first read it - good luck with it, there's no way I could stick to it!

pippypoppypanda · 02/04/2008 10:15

It's difficult I've done it before, they call it the slimmers straight jacket for a reason!!! LOL. Some people find it ok though cos u can have things like a convenience meal up to 350 cals. something you wouldn't dare have on the normal diet. I've planned out all my units for the week and the times at which I'm gonna eat. I'm hoping being so prepared will help me stay on track!!

Think the good thing about fast forward is that it makes you appreciate the Food Optimising Plan, and you find sticking to that much easier having been so restricted the week before!!!

good luck this week everyone!!!xxx

toadette · 02/04/2008 11:03

Fastforward looks bit too restrictive for me this week as my aim is to force myself to stick to the ordinary plan! Might give it a go in a week or two though because agree that it would mean following the normal SW plan seem like a doddle for the next few weeks.

I had my WI night Twilight zone takeaway meal and wine last night so ready to commit again. Have started the day off well with cup of tea and some crispbreads (HE b)and veg pate (2 syns). Fruit for mid-morning snack. Not sure about lunch and dinner yet but think it will be a green day.

Good luck everyone for this week.

Furball · 02/04/2008 11:07

I'm having a veg stir fry with noodles on a green day. My beloved sweet chilli sauce is sob 9 syns for a whole pack, so I'll have to make do with half.

God knows what we're having for tea.

and tomorrow will be an experiment as I'm off out for lunch.

Bouncingturtle · 02/04/2008 13:08

Today so far :
Breakfast:
1 Hifi bar
Poached eggs on toast
Bowl of mixed summer fruits with VLF fromage frais.
Lunch:
Jacket potatoes with VLF cottage cheese with onion and chives and a HeA of cheddar.
Plus a Mullerlight.
Planning on doing stirfry with quorn pieces and noodles for dinner tonight.

nikkid21 · 02/04/2008 13:38

Today so far
breakfast - chopped apple with cinnamon and 0% greek yoghurt

Lunch - swede topped shepherd pie leftovers with roast beetroot and butternut squash

Dinner will be beef stew with carrots. kale and pureed swede (will be 3syns for half packet of stew mix). Dh is on nights for the next four nights so will save my syns for the evening munchies when kids are in bed.

I also did a 5km run on the treadmill and 30 mins of weights and ab crunches.

SWlurker · 02/04/2008 16:36

had a blowout on lunch was on a training course, so scoffed sandwiches crisps and sausage rolls that were on offer!

Have decided to draw a line, have superfree veg and quorn stew as planned tonight and not worry about it.

pippypoppypanda · 02/04/2008 18:01

My day so far on fast forward:

1 1/2oz cornflakes with 200ml skimmed milk

toadette · 02/04/2008 19:48

Wow, pippy! Are you having a decent dinner?

ja9 · 02/04/2008 19:50

thanks toadette

pippypoppypanda · 02/04/2008 20:03

Dinner was Young's Admirals pie with 4 oz (!) of brussel sprouts! Which was yummy but not a big enough plateful

Thats only 17 units used so I have enough for for 4 more! so for supper im going to have a chocolate highlights, 2 cadbury's fingers and 2 jaffa cakes! And THAT IS IT FOR THE DAY! Im already salivating at the thought of SW chips!!!x

WallOfSilence · 02/04/2008 21:21

Hello everyone

I hope you don't mind me coming back!! (albeit under a new name!)

I haven't been at sw since January 3rd & have felt the weight creeping up on me again... so I bit the bullet & went back tonight.. was shocked to see I had gained 6lb in those couple of months!!

So have had a nice night tonight, eating scotch eggs & stuffed bacon rolls.... I will have a slice of toast before bed too And then back to basics tomorrow!!!!!!!

I will need your support ladies!!

toadette · 02/04/2008 22:06

Hi wallofsilence/fff2
(it's laloup btw, I also decided on a name change a wee while ago and went for something nintendo-inspired!)

I've been doing my usual and losing/gaining 5lbs or so and never shifting the stone that I'd like to get rid of. So rejoined local SW group about a month ago, was doing fine until Easter(groan)!

toadette · 02/04/2008 22:35

Welcome aboard, letuseatcake

moodlumthehoodlum · 02/04/2008 22:38

Hello ladies - please can I join your gang?

I joined SW last friday and tbh have been struggling with the whole syns thing. I don't think I will have lost any weight when it comes to friday.

I am a WW expert, and find it easier to do points than this syns malarky, but have lost all will power, so I'm hoping that a new start provides motivation! I would like to lose 2 stone.

SWlurker · 03/04/2008 08:27
