Right. It's a fresh start for me. I've joined Slimming World for the 5th time back in August of last year. Didn't do too badly up until Christmas but since then I've been dreadful.
Just had my weigh in tonight and had a huge weight again over two weeks - missed weigh in last week. The small amount of weight I have lost since August last year is very quickly creeping back on again and I have to do something about it now.
Tomorrow is my new start. I have my food diary at the ready.

Hey you read my mind! Just come back from 40 mins in the gym!

I'll just have a light green day dish for tea and maybe a muller yog later, depending on how hungry I am!

Went to docs this morning who told me I 'should' lose a little weight - love it when they tell me that - thanks doc! Told him I am trying my best...!

hectich1979 · 22/04/2008 16:48

haa docs are great aren't they I went last week and the nurse said ohh your weight has gone up but I guess you know that don't you!!! Errr yep!
Had another good day so far (day two I still have willpower!!)
porridge and banana for brekky
Cottage cheese and salad, mullerlight for dinner
Been drinking loads of sugar free squash again(and nippin to the loo alot!)
Got a chicken in the oven so think I'll have chicken, new potatoes and salad for tea. Did my tae bo dvd last night 45 mins and situps will do the same tonight.
This warmer weathers certainly motivating just wish it would stay!

babyjjbaby · 22/04/2008 17:12

Joby1970 · 23/04/2008 08:13

Docs are hilarious! Mine told me that I needed to lose weight as my blood pressure had gone up & she threatened to take me of my birth control pills (dianette). When I told her my blood pressure hadn't been affected by my wieght before she said "well you've never been 36 before!" - Made me feel ancient. However, it was the motivation I needed & I though right I'll show her & followed SW for 6 months & lost 2 stone & guess what .. my BP went down.

lol

SWlurker · 23/04/2008 08:26

lost 2 lbs yesterday - my first 1/2 stone at this class and 1 stone overall

Need to knuckle down to a good week. No weekend plans (at the moment) so hopefully a good weekend will mean I can spread my syns a bit in the week. Had a twilight zone last night of chip shop chips, since I've been thinking about them for 2 weeks. Back on track today - planning yoghurt, apples and a hi fi to see me through to lunch. Sweet potato and cheese triangles for lunch, and dinner - well I need to go shopping!!

sticktoit · 23/04/2008 14:12

Well done lurker!!

I had a lasting satisfaction yogurt for brekkie and it actually kept me going until lunch, well had a little banana and a pear in between but my stomach is usually yelling by then!

I had a baxters soup for lunch - HEb then went to hygienist for a teeth clean and she knackered my gums!! Don't feel like bloody eating now. Feeling v.sorry for myself now!

nikkid21 · 23/04/2008 15:36

well done Lurker
I lost 1/2 pound at WI last night which I was v.pleased with as i've had the last two weeks as holiday.
I've got 3lb to target so am going to go back to basics this week and write everything down. If I can get to target in the next two weeks i'll be over the moon.

SWlurker · 23/04/2008 16:08

Sticktoit - I thnk they're brilliant those yogs they really do fill you up!

Nikkid - wow 3lbs go for it! What type of a week have you got ahead? Get speed and superspeed fooding!

grinningbee · 23/04/2008 16:19

Hi all,

I've had a good second week. I've been managing to stick to the plan and haven't slipped so far!

It was my weigh in this morning, and I've lost another 3 1/4 which makes 7 pounds in two weeks! Yay!!

Still not given in to chocolate or wine, or even anything vaguely naughty. Can I do it for a third week?..... we'll see!

7 down 90 to go.

I remembered how bored I got before of quorn sausages, so last night I decided to try cooking them another way. I made a big pot of veggies:

1 onion
1 yellow pepper
1 green pepper
1 courgette
1 head of broccili
2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
garlic powder
red chilli flakes
worcestershire sauce
black pepper

I left it going for a while, and then put in the frozen quorn sausages for 20 minutes.

I have to say it was blooming lovely! Got plenty left over for tomorrow.

toadette · 23/04/2008 16:36

Hi everyone
Unfortunately I had a 0.5lb gain yesterday at WI. Not tooooooo disappointed because I had a big night out at weekend and it was also my totm so normally show a few pounds heavier. I am determined to lose weight for next week so it's back to basics again.

hectich1979 · 23/04/2008 20:56

Hi all day three,
Porridge and banana for breakfast

Chicken salad and mullerlight for lunch

Seafood risotto (goodness knows how many sins) but I needed to use a bag of seafood I had and tastiest recipe I could find.

Mullerlight and grapes

drunk loads of water at work too

toadette - don't worry about the very small gain you know why it happened and it'll come off next week x

kid · 23/04/2008 23:07

I managed a whole day sticking to SW, its a miracle!

I have been doing 20 sit ups a day, not much I know but its more than I was doing before.

Need to go shopping tomorrow but I haven't planned my meals so don't know what to buy. Will stock up on Mullerlights and fruit. Better get some pasta n'sauce too as I know they are ok. That might keep me going for a few days while I sort out my meals properly.
This is much harder than I thought it was going to be.

WallOfSilence · 23/04/2008 23:28

Stressed to the max.

I have to do a power point presentation at uni tomorrow & am crapping myself... not only because I have to stand up in front of people, but because I can't get the damn thing to print out!!! Grrrr

Anyway, I ate hardly anything this week & do you know what? I had 0.5lb on!! How the flip did tht happen??

Onwards & downwards hey? TBH I have had a crap few days. My sister is in the very early stages of pregnancy & I spent most of yesterday at the hosp with her whilst she was hooked to a drip! Then she had a scan so I am chuffed to bits to have seen the wee heart beating Unfortunately my nephew wrote his car off yest too.... & a family member died so it's been hectic...not to mention the fact I have to habd my disertation in next week & it's nowhere near finished yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SWlurker · 24/04/2008 09:13

Oh no WOS what a palava! Good luck for presentation. Don't worry about the 0.5 on - its a miniscule amount, and youve got far bigger fish to fry at the moment! If I were you and it was all getting too much, then as long as you keep checking on here and weighing in weekly, I wouldn't worry too much, just get back on track when you feel you are able to.

Big hugs, sounds like you've got a lot to cope with at the moment. x

McDreamy · 24/04/2008 09:16

2lbs off for me last night. I am really pleased. That's 9lbs altogether! I would really like to lose 3lbs next week which will get me into my stone below but I have a couple of nights out lined up so not sure how realistic this is!!

SWlurker · 24/04/2008 09:42

Kid - still time to plan before shop not obsessively, just think how many red and green days you think you might have, healthy extras you are going to need, have you got plans that mean you need to grab things quickly or can you find the time to cook properly?

My weekly shop is based on the same things -I'm almost all green, so buy tins of tomatoes, jars of passata, baked beans, kidney beans, whatever veg I fancy, a few jacket potatoes, fry light, quorn, onions, mixed herbs, pasta, cheese, milk & cereal. That way you can make countless variations of jacket potatoes, chips or pasta with tomato based sauces, bolognaise, chilli etc. Happy shopping!

supersaluki · 24/04/2008 15:24

I havent been here for a long time
MUCH to my regret the weight has crept on

I have had health problems since november and its like I allowed it to give me permission to comfort eat

so as from today I am going to set myself some targets and start writing everything down again

I hope I will be welcomed back to the fold

Sparkler I read your message at the beginning of this thread and I can relate to everything you have written

hectich1979 · 24/04/2008 16:17

my weekly shop is pretty much the same with some eggs, alpen light bars and nimble bread included!

Fourth day and I'm doing well completely resisted the sweets that someone had bought in today there was loads didn't even have one coz I knew I wouldn't stop at one!

Shreddies and milk, cup of tea breakfast
Did a cheese salad for dinner at work but didn't fancy it so had mullerlight, banana and an apple.
Just had an alpen light bar and another banana not sure what to have for tea poss poached eggs on toast (nimble white bread).
first official WI day tomw so I'll let u know hope I see a good loss x

SWlurker · 24/04/2008 16:32

Welcome back supersaluki - don't think I've met you before

I am going through a complete comfort eating stage - just that so far luckily I am only overeating free foods.

supersaluki · 24/04/2008 17:52

Thanks SWL - if I can stick to comfort eating and only eat free foods that would be good
well tonight I am being good I have weighed anything with syns in (mind you not having access to the sw website at the mo is a problem) and hopefully by this time next week I will see a difference

I weighed myself and took various measurements set myself some targets now all I have to do is stick with it until I hit some of those targets which then I hope will motivate me

sticktoit · 24/04/2008 19:23

Made an amazing discovery which you or may not already know - Morrisons do a syn free sausage! They are the Eat Smart diet less than 3% fat pork sausage. Had four last night with 2 tsp of bisto....very yum!

Also tonight had a plate full of syn free chips with marrowfat peas and 4 laughing cow light cheese triangles (only cheese i have in house). Actually went really nice together!

Going to put kids to bed now and wait an hour or so and do my davina dvd!

Welcome super! I've comfort ate fruit today, although not as satisfying as choco bics!!

sticktoit · 24/04/2008 19:25

p.s if you want to go onto SW website this week's PW is pudding!

supersaluki · 24/04/2008 20:03

Sticktoit
THANK YOU so much
thanks for the info on the sausages - will tell my daughter (who at a size 8 doesnt need to slim but at only 4' 10"still needs to be careful)

I eat green always as I am a vegetarian
I am going to sticktoit (I LOVE your username) I know how supportive people on here an be
although there are very few names I recognise

I dont do an aerobics workout dvd, I do do a pilates one at least 5 times a week and I also do a pilates class once a week
most of my exercise is walking the dogs

I just have the feeling that this wonderful virtual class is just what I am going to need - something to make me more accountable

Furball · 24/04/2008 20:30

welcome to new folk!

I lost 2 1/2 this week - so 10 1/2 in 4 weeks
