Right. It's a fresh start for me. I've joined Slimming World for the 5th time back in August of last year. Didn't do too badly up until Christmas but since then I've been dreadful.
Just had my weigh in tonight and had a huge weight again over two weeks - missed weigh in last week. The small amount of weight I have lost since August last year is very quickly creeping back on again and I have to do something about it now.
Tomorrow is my new start. I have my food diary at the ready.

Having an original day today. Makes a change for me.
Breakfast - Coffee and Banana
Mid Morning - Diet coke
Lunch - Five pieces of grilled bacon, tin of pink salmon (eaten seperately!!) , apple and a cup of tea.
I feel quite full.
Almost had a hi-fi bar but had an apple instead so I can save me Healthy B for tonight when I really get the munchies.

Subway sounds lovely - don't think I've ever had one. Am I missing much?

When I go I get ham & cheese toasted with salad & chilli sauce... it's delicious.

Haven't been for yonks though! not very sw friendly!

BouncingTurtle · 12/04/2008 14:13

Doing well, cereal for brekkie, jacket spuds for lunch. Been swimming with ds too.

Good weekend so far!

toadette · 12/04/2008 15:29

Lurker, have you eaten the Subway????

Have been reasonably good so far today. Fruit and yoghurt for brekkie, then a chicken sandwich for lunch. I was going to have a chicken salad but dh and the dc's sandwiches looked too nice, oops. That's the first time I've eaten bread since Tuesday, really trying to keep it at a minimum this week.

Are WW yoghurts FREE on SW, hope so?!

WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 15:40

I think they are toady.

I had a bit of a blip I'm afraid. Nothing that can't be taken out of Thur & Fri syns though so I'm feeling OK about it.

The dcs were having a picnic out in the garden (read eating their easter eggs!) & when I walked past I nabbed some maltesers from ds's bowl

Then I had a bowl of popcorn as I really fancied some.... god knows how many syns was in that!

it's a lovely day here! Am sitting by the patio door feeling the breeze blow by me

toadette · 12/04/2008 15:48

Hi WoS, weather's lovely today isn't it, my three have made a hut outside so most of our blankets and cushions have been trailed out

ellideb · 12/04/2008 15:51

Hi Girls hope your will power is sticking like glue, weekends are tough aren't they?

I have asked before but i think it just got lost, has anyone tried to follow SW whilst preggers? Would appreciate hearing of another's experience

Wallofsilence, it depends on what type of popcorn it was, the plain/salted/sweetened varieties don't have many syns at all, it's the toffee ones you should watch out for!

Toadette, again it depeneds on which yogs they are, i bought the layered ones the other day thinking they were free and they weren't however they didn't have many syns in them!

WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 15:51

Yep. My two are going down the slide on their pillows!!

There's wee lambs being born in the field & ds's eyes are hanging out of his head.. he came into me and squatted down saying "Look mammy, sheep pooe'd a baby out!!"

WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 15:53

Hi ellie

It wasn't toffee

There was a pg lady at my slimming class who lost weight during her pregnancy.

I think as long as you are having a balanced diet you'll do fine on it.

Do you want to lose or maintain though? If you go to a class you should discuss it with your consultant.

toadette · 12/04/2008 15:54

lmao , WoS, if only it was that easy!

ellideb · 12/04/2008 15:58

Hi Wallofsilence!

I'd really just like to maintain, maybe lose a couple but I'm not too fussed I just really don't want to end up huge so it's more preventative really, I know if left to my own devises I'd just use the excuse 'eating for two'

Sounds like fun at your house! LOL at your little one's comments! Do you live in the country?

WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 16:02

'The country' loosely translated to 'the arse end of nowhere'.....

Yes, we live in rural NI. Toady lives in the big smoke

ellideb · 12/04/2008 16:07

I live in the arse end of nowhere too, in north wales, but its really quite nice, especially in the summer being able to go for walks along the counrty roads and beaches, wouldn't like to live in a city TBH

Sparkler · 12/04/2008 19:03

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm I have the biggest bit of steak you have ever seen for tea. Not even going to bother having anything with it. Well, just a glass of red or two.

OP posts:
BouncingTurtle · 12/04/2008 21:25

I made pasta and bolognaise, using Quorn mince, onion, carrot, sweetcorn, basil, oregano, rosemary, and garlic plus a beef stock cube (1.5 syns but the whole lot served 3).
Feeling very virtuous now!
Off out tomorrow, going to be out for lunch not sure what I'm going to do, have plenty of choice though. Going to go neutral for brekkie then decided at lunch whether to have a green or red day.

grinningbee · 12/04/2008 21:28

Oooooh, now that sounds like my sort of tea!

Just had quorn sausages with baked beans and 200g of oven chips (5 sins).

I tried putting all sorts of spices on the sausages to make them taste a bit nicer. Wasn't too bad!

I would lurve some wine and choccy, but I will resist!

grinningbee · 12/04/2008 21:29

My sort of tea - I meant the steak and red wine...

toadette · 13/04/2008 11:01

Think I managed last night's meal out on 35 syns so happy with that
Dragged my hangover out for a run this morning so I better get a blardy loss on Tuesday WI. Just have to fight off the carb cravings that I have now, I want toast

WallOfSilence · 13/04/2008 15:53

Yesterday wasn't too bad I think.

I had steak for dinner & sw chips with garlic. [dh did the garlic in butter so I alloted nearly all my syns for that!]

Then I had fruit salad & went to bed

Today I had pineapple for breakfast, then went a 4 mile walk [even dd walked it, she's 6, ds was in his buggy] then had lunch of 2 boiled eggs & a slice of w/meal bread. Followed by fruit salad.

I have a chicken in roasting for dinner, will have boiled pots & roast pots, peas carrots, sprouts & cauliflower too. Not sure what for afters...maybe rice pudding using my HEa milk?

BouncingTurtle · 13/04/2008 16:00

Well I went for lunch (just me & baba as Dh was taking dss to the fun fair), I had Pasta Arrabiata - yum! Did splurge on some toasted ciabatta but didn't touch the butter. Was very tempted to have desert but going to a MNer meet up tomorrow and intend to have cake!

WallOfSilence · 13/04/2008 16:03

Mmm sounds lovely! Nice to be just you and baba too

My 2 are outside playing on a slide... well, dd is.. I see ds has taken his trousers & pants off The wee bugger!!

Haylo · 13/04/2008 18:08

Hi all, have had a lovely and 'on plan' weekend.

Packed lunch yesterday so we could eat where ever, ended up in a church car park in the car in the rain ! try balancing an 8 month old weaning on your knee, whilst opening a bag of crisps for a 2 year old and spreading laughing cow cheese triangles on ryvita all at the same time !!

Had friends with their 5 month old over for lunch today, roasted a huge chicken with all the veg, mash and roast spuds and yorkshires - had a green day and counted the meat at a 'b' and sinned the roasters and yorkshire. For pud did fresh raspberries and strawberries with meringues and cream, l had a raspberry and cranberry yoghurt instead of the cream - guessed the small meringues at 1.5 syns each - what do you think ?

Hi,I joined on thursday and weighed in at 13 stone. To think that the night before i had my first child i weighed 11stone 3lbs and he was 8lbs 5 oz. Benn very good so far althogh today ive had a rotten migraine and haven't long been up - desperate for some processed rubbish to eat. My favourite sandwich so far on a red day is Brand and rye bun from Greggs (healthy b extra) spread with laughing cow cheese then grilled bacon, onion and tomato - absolutely scrummy.

BouncingTurtle · 13/04/2008 19:17

Hello Lumley!

Good luck for the week
