I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Joining if that’s ok. It’s really positive hearing people’s stories and reassuring to know that people are plateauing too ! I started ‘dieting’ at the end of March, beginning of April. Combination of Long Covid and certain medications, menopause made me pile on the weight.
SW was 11st (I’m only 5ft 2.5)
CW is 10st 5
GW ? 9 st ?
I’ve been trying to do 16:8, mainly successful apart from on the 2 long days that I work and need a breakfast. I was 10 stone 4 yesterday and put on a pound this am 🤔 walked 18,000 steps yesterday, pretty sure I was under 1200 calories. Upped my exercise last 2 weeks (added swimming into the mix as well as 10,000 steps), kept on the 16:8 and eaten carefully. Really don’t understand it.
I haven’t been 9 stone since before my kids (oldest is 21). Even when I religiously went to gym, ran, did spinning a few times a week so not sure that’s an achievable goal !

Didn’t feel well last night went to bed early
got up at 7am for the loo
weighed myself no change in weight
Drank some water
went back to bed
woke up a few hours later really quite late in the day as groggy
went for a wee
weighed again out of interest
had lost half a kg 😂

sometimes there is no logical reason for things!

I've plateaued since March 3rd. Partly due to illness but more recently, past 6 weeks definitely my own fault. Work stress is always the killer for me, have been eating chocolate like nobody's business. I've also ended up with low folate and vit d levels. I basically stopped eating vegetables for a few months. I guess I've been depressed.

In previous years I'd have probably gained half a stone, though.

Trying to correct the lack of veg now, and was pleased to find I'm finally dropping again. I had a 2 week weigh in gap as my scales ran out of batteries 😅

Morning all. Well done everyone on how you're all doing. The plateau weeks are so difficult but you will feel amazing when the number on the scale shifts again. And it will shift again. I'm down just 1lb again this week but I'm happy with that. Definitely slowing down now I'm down to the 2st-ish left to lose but I'm determined to keep going and get there by the end of the year.

My aim is to get BMI down to 22, so I'm roughly in the middle between overweight and underweight.

I'm still here, and checking in for the first time since I joined in April. I've made pitiful progress, but progress nonetheless.

Hi All, I have been on holiday, it didn't go too badly, didn't really gain other maybe a pound. However I now have covid. I will get back to my focus once I am well again.

I did weigh in today, and it will be artificially low due to lack of eating much and dehydration.

Covid has been marvelous for weight loss. Holiday weight is gone. I am back to eating properly now so taking this current weight as real.

Had a really good loss the other week then had a crazy weekend (late nights and such like but not crazy food) and gained 2kg overnight (water) 😂

have done a good few leg work outs the last few days so my legs feel really tight and now I can really see the difference in them (quads just like a New Zealand rugby player 😂)

now I’m just 0.5kg off my lower weight off Saturday. I just feel now I’m seeing less wobble when I move around and toned me is enjoying it so I am less bothered about weight lately and more about muscle

2kg left to go but I don’t think I will do that before my holiday in 4 weeks - maybe 1kg? and I assume I will gain a couple kg away so assume it might be end of August when I hit goal

I’m not really worried about food on holiday as it will be hot and I am a salad girl, more that I have no weights and can’t work out 😂😭

Glad it’s still going well!

I am now 3lbs from my revised goal. I am now the original goal (which I changed from 10st 10lbs to 10st 7lbs) my stomach fat is finally going as the very last thing… so perhaps I will keep going a few more lbs this year.

I am going on holiday in 2 weeks so assume I will gain then have to lose that so still some work to be done

you know what made me laugh I started packing for holiday and last year my stuff took up so much room in the case DP was fed up about it. This year it’s all small and literally half of the size it was! Last year I felt so body conscious I kept buying trousers to wear in a hot country and stressing about things matching then was so hot but wouldn’t wear shorts
This year IDGAF about anything matching really and will mostly wear shorts so have only 1 pair of trousers. I’ve even taken short tops instead of long T-shirts.

I am 2lbs from my goal weight now.

I am not sure I have set the right goal. I’m not all about the visuals but I still do have areas that could do with losing fat around my middle, hips, thighs so I don’t know whether to keep going and if closer to 10st would be a good idea or not. I need to have a good think, also it’s hard to evaluate yourself isn’t it? It’s mostly my stomach area. I might try for 10st 6 and see how I feel. Every 1lb of fat now is very noticeable it’s all coming off my lower belly so perhaps a few more lbs will be fine. I feel now that I am still ‘top end’ of my weight range so I do have wiggle room. My range is 51kg to 68.8kg - I was aiming for 67. Maybe 65 is better?

My DP said he loved me when I was bigger but he is all over thinner me the shallow bastard 😂 but saying that I like him smaller too. He’s done well losing weight himself.

I am having to safety pin together all my size 12 and 14 clothes I’ve bought the last few months. For this reason I do just want to settle on a weight, get the right size clothes and get on with life!

Hi @Menora (and anyone else who still checks this thread) Smile That made me laugh the part about your husband because mine is the exact same! Well done to your husband on his weight loss too. I know what you mean with holiday packing. I hadn't thought about it at all but now you mention it yes you can definitely fit more stuff into the case when the clothes themselves are smaller. It sounds like you're in a pretty healthy place weight-wise so be careful on losing any more. I think it can be hard to know when to stop when you're used to losing but just be careful. You have done so well.
